Chapter 4

Claire's POV

I walked into the room where everyone ate. It was as big as a school cafeteria, with tables everywhere. There was a buffet-like setting, and everyone was in line waiting to get their food. I decided to sit at a table with Jennifer and Stacy until the line died down. 

"There they are; let me introduce you to Claire and Jennifer," I heard Tanya say. I looked up and saw Tanya walking over to our table with the same twins that were outside the house. There was one more person with them, a girl that looked to be my age. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and something about her made me feel weird inside.

I couldn't explain the feelings I was feeling for her. Like I couldn't explain what I was feeling for the twins. I had always been attracted to guys but never girls. I felt like I was crushing not only on the twins but their best friend, who is a female as well.

"Claire and Jennifer, these are my sons Stephen and Steven and their best friend Gwen," Tanya said

I couldn't take my eyes off them. I stared at them; each time I looked at one, they were already looking at me. 

"Hello," Jennifer finally said, breaking the silence

"Hello, nice to meet the two of you," Gwen said, still staring at me

"Well, everyone, dinner is ready. You better get your food before it is all gone," Tanya said.

She looked at her sons and Gwen and then back at me like she knew what was happening. I wanted to ask her to tell me why I was feeling this way. It didn't seem right to have a crush on people that I had just met five minutes ago. Not only that, but three people and two of them are twins, while one is a female. I never had a problem with same-sex relationships, but I had never been attracted to a female before now.

Everyone went to get their food, but I stayed at the table. I was so confused that I wasn't all that hungry. Finally, everyone returned to our table, including the twins and Gwen. Jennifer sat by me on one side while Gwen sat on the other. I saw the twins send her a cold glare like they were upset with her about something. I felt a tingle inside me as her hand accidentally touched mine, causing me to jump in surprise from the pleasure it sent me. 

Monica came over to our table and sat by one of the twins. I didn't know who was who because they never told me. I saw him jump as she tried to place her hand on his. It made me happy that he didn't want her to touch him. Why was I even caring if he touched her?

"Baby, what's wrong?" Monica asked, but his gaze was on me. "Stephen," She said, placing her hand on his arm, causing him to look at her.

"We need to talk," Stephen said, and they walked out of the room

I felt a pain in my chest from them leaving together, wondering what they were about to do. I knew they had to be a couple, so it confused me that he was acting like he didn't want her to touch him.

Steven cleared his throat, taking me out of my thoughts

"I am sorry about Monica; she can be a," Steven said

"Bitch," Gwen finished for him

"Yes, I don't know what my brother saw in her. I am happy that it is finally over," He said

"It doesn't look over to me," Gwen said, and Steven glared at her. I wouldn't say I liked the thought of Stephen being with Monica. I wondered what they were doing right now. Probably kissing or fucking," I thought.

"Why aren't you eating?" Gwen whispered to me, sending a shiver to go through my body

"I'm not hungry," I said. Thinking of Stephen with that girl had made me lose my appetite.

"Hey baby," I heard a man say. He sat next to Gwen and kissed her on the cheek. I felt the pain in my chest become worse. 

"Um, hello," Gwen replied, looking uncomfortable. 

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" Tonya asked, looking at me with concern

"I am fine; I am just tired from the long ride. I think I am going to go to my room," I said

I looked over at Jennifer, who was talking to Stacy.

"Jen, I am going to my room. Will you be okay here without me?" I asked

"Yes, sis, are you sure you're alright," She asked 

"Yes, I just need to rest," I said.

I could feel two people's gaze on my back as I walked out of the room. When I got to my room, I decided to get ready for bed. I went into the bathroom and took a long shower. After showering, I brushed my teeth and combed my hair before putting on my clothes. 

That night I lay in bed, not being able to fall asleep. All I could think about was the twins and Gwen. Every time I tried to think about something else, I couldn't. When I finally did fall asleep, I dreamed about Stephen, Steven, and Gwen
