Claire's POV I looked at Gwen and saw the shocked expression on her face. She had no idea that she had other family members besides the ones on her mom's side. "I have family here?" Gwen asked Alpha Kane. "Yes, a lot of them, actually. Your father even has a sister that still lives here. She didn't leave when your father, his brother Turner, and their parent left the Pack," Alpha Kane said "Why did they leave the Pack?" Gwen asked, and Alpha Kane began to frown. "Something terrible happened, but I believe it would be best for you to hear it from Alicia. I can take you to see her if you want. She has been wanting to meet you." "Who is Alicia," Gwen asked. "Your father's twin sister," Kane said, and Gwen looked at him in shock. "My father has a twin?" "Yes, he does. Would you like to meet her?" "I should stay with Claire," Gwen said. "No, I am fine. You should go meet your Aunt," I said "Are you sure, Claire?" She asked hesitantly "Yes, I want you to meet her. She will
Gwen's POV "Are you nervous about meeting your Aunt," Steven asked as Alpha Kane drove up to the house. "No. I am not nervous," I lied. I couldn't believe I had an aunt and was meeting her. I wondered what she would be like. I wondered if she would be like Gary and My grandparents. Since I was a child, Gary had never been loving or caring. He wasn't friendly to anyone besides my mom. She was the only one that he ever showed affection to. My grandparents were just like him. They were not the loving grandparents that most of the Pack Members my age had growing up. I wondered if my Aunt would be just like them. "You ready to meet your Aunt Alicia?" Alpha Kane said. "Yeah. I am ready," I replied, and we all got out of the car. But, before we could walk to the front of the house, a woman stepped outside. She looked to be in her lower forties, and I could see the resemblance between her and my father. They looked just alike, and it wasn't hard to believe they were twins by their feat
Gwen's POV I couldn't believe what Alicia had just told me. She believed that Turner killed their little ten-year-old sister. Only a monster could do something like that. To kill an innocent little girl over jealousy was one of the most horrible things someone could do. "You really believe Turner killed your little sister over jealousy?" Steven asked. "I don't believe it. I know it. Turner is crazy and has always been. You two came over here to learn about our family history, right?" Alicia asked "Yes, I just found out recently that I am a protector. Gary had been hiding it from me my whole life," I said. "I can't believe he would do that. Gary had definitely changed from when he lived here," Alicia said "If he was sweet and caring when he lived here. Then, yes, he definitely has changed," Steven said. "Why would Turner kill Gwendoline?" I asked. "As you know, someone in our family is born a protector. We all believed Gwendoline would be one because she was a miracle child. Sh
Claire's POV "You ready to get out of here?" Stephen asked as he walked into the hospital room I had been staying in. It had been two days, and I was finally fully healed. Stephen was worried about why my neck had taken so long to heal, and the doctor told us it was because I didn't shift enough. She said Cara wasn't as strong as she should be, which is why I don't heal as quickly as other werewolves do. Cara was ready to take over and rip the doctor's head off when she said that Cara was like a new pup because of my lack of experience shifting. Even with the training, she said I needed to shift and train more in my wolf form. I could see that Stephen blamed himself for Cara not being as strong as she should be. He wanted me to train more in human form, worried someone might see Cara and know I am a Red Wolf. I don't blame him, though, because he didn't think I wasn't getting as strong as I should. Plus, he was trying to keep me safe from harm. "I am more than ready to get out of
Claire's POV"I am so happy you are alright, Claire," Alicia said as we walked into her home. "Thank you for coming and looking for me. Gwen told me you were with the warriors when they found me in the woods," I replied"Yes, I was. I didn't know you were Gwen's Mate or that I had a niece until Alpha Stephen and Alphan Steven told Kane. All I knew was that you wanted information on Gary. I didn't even know he was staying at the Crescent Pack and had become your father's Beta. I hadn't seen my parents, Turner or Gary, since the death of my little sister, Gwendoline. He loved her very much," Alicia said and looked at Gwen. "He must have. Obviously, that is who he named Gwen after. Gwenneth isn't exactly Gwendoline, but they are close enough," Steven said "Please don't use my full name," Gwen replied with a frown."Why not Gwenneth," Steven teased. It was apparent she didn't like her real name."Anyway, come on, and let's meet some of your family members," Alicia said. We ended up mee
Claire's POV"What do you mean you can't help her? You have to do something," I said. "I am afraid I can't pull her back. She and her wolf are deep in her mind. They will have to come back on their own. They will be fine, I promise," Lauren saidSuddenly, Johnson, Alicia's Mate, walked into the room. "There is a lady downstairs that has been beaten pretty badly. She asked for Gwen before passing out." HE looked over at Gwen. "What is wrong with her?" "She will be fine. You guys go see who is downstairs. I will stay with Gwen," Lauren said, and we all headed downstairs. When we got there, I could see everyone looking at the unconscious lady on the ground."I have already mind-linked The Pack Doctor, and she is on her way. When I looked at who was on the ground, I couldn't help the gasp that came out of my mouth. I could see that Stephen and Steven were just as shocked as I was."Who is she?"Gwen's POV"What is it?" I asked as Lauren passed me a vile with a green liquid inside. "My
Gary's POVI woke up with a painful headache. I felt around to feel that I was in bed alone. When I sat on the bed, my head began hurting even more. It was a throbbing headache, something I had only felt once. When I was younger, one of the students at my school thought it would be funny to put wolfsbane in the food in the cafeteria. I tried to feel my wolf, but he seemed still sleeping.Wanting to find Sonya, I stood from the bed. Before I could leave the room, I noticed a note on the nightstand. I picked it up and was shocked when I read it. There was no way Sonya would leave me. I looked around the room and saw most of her things missing. I ran out of the room and saw Turner and Norman sitting at the dining room table, drinking coffee. "You have been asleep all day. I tried to wake you up, but you wouldn't get up," Turner said"Did any of you see Sonya?' I asked"NO, not since dinner. Why?" Turner asked"It seems she has left. She left a note saying she can't stay here," I said an
Claire's POVThe Doctors won't be able to heal your mother, Gwen, but there is someone here that can," Lauren said "Who," Gwen asked as she stopped walking. Then, Lauren looked at me."You can heal her mother, Claire. You have the power inside of you," Lauren said, shocking me."Me, How?" I asked"You are a Red Wolf. The first Red Wolf from a thousand years ago. You are very special and have many gifts. One of them is the power of healing others. "How do you know this?" I asked"Everyone in our family has learned about what Red Wolves can do," Alicia replied"I don't know how to control my powers fully. I don't know what all my powers are," I replied"I can help you like I helped Gwen. But we would have to be at the hospital to do this because Gwen's mother doesn't have much time," Lauren said, and we all headed to the hospital. When we arrived at the the Pack Hospital, Gwen, Alicia, Lauren, and I walked into Sonya's room. She was on life support with tubes down her throat. Gwen be
