Chapter 102

Lucien's POV

Josh, Tom, and I waited outside Alissa's cell for the Pack Doctor to get done checking on Alissa. Finally, about thirty minutes later, she came out and walked toward me.

"Did you find anything?" I asked

"I can't see anything out of the ordinary. She looks healthy, but I have taken her blood and will run some tests. I will contact you when the test is done," The Pack Doctor said. We said our goodbyes, and he left.

"I am going to talk to Shelby," I said, walking to her cell. I needed to know why she would hurt me by trying to hurt Jennifer. Was it because she wanted me to end up with Alissa? That was what it seemed like.

I walked into her cell to see she was sitting on the floor. When I walked in, she looked at me. "Hello, King Lucien," Shelby said.

"Why did you betray me and my mom? I thought you were our family," I asked, and she laughed.

"Oh, please. We were never family," Shelby said, shocking me.
