Jennifer's POV

The school day went slower than it usually did. I couldn't pay attention in any of my classes because all I could think about was Lucien and me becoming fully Mated. We would be fully Mated tomorrow, and even though I was excited, I was also nervous. Lucien and I might have tasted each other and slept naked in each other's arms, but we hadn't gone all the way and had sex because Lucien wanted to wait until after he Marked me in the Marking Ceremony.

What if I couldn't satisfy him? I knew deep down that my thoughts were foolish because we were Mates, which meant I was the only one that could satisfy him. One thing I was happy about was that we would only be Marking each other in front of everyone.

At first, I was worried that Lucien really wanted to have the Mating Ceremony as well and was only saying he didn't want to because he thought I didn't want to have sex in front of others. So, I told him I would be okay with following tradition and having the Mating Ceremony.
