Anger

The blurry ceiling welcomes an old lady, as she forces her eyelids to move slowly. She stays still for a few seconds, trying to get used to the to the room she finds herself when she hears a familiar voice speaking with the doctor. She has been here for the past one months but she hasn’t gotten used to the hospital.

Her heart wrenches and she curses under her breath as she closes back her eyes. She didn’t want to wake up to see him, she felt bad that she’s making her only son to worry about her.

“You’re awake?” Hearing his voice throws her off her thought, and she takes a deep breath as she finally forces her eyes open. No doubt that that she can’t escape her son, she has tried to confused her son that she’s healthy, but he isn’t taking that from her.

“I told you not to come, I am perfectly fine, the doctor said they will soon discharge me, so what are you doing here?” Her voice sounds soft as she turns her face away like she doesn’t want to see him.
