Years passed and the budding relationship between Heidi and her friends increased.

Alpha Venkat was going for the supernatural meeting and it excited Heidi.

As the future Alpha, she had every right to follow her father to that meeting but her hope was shattered into unbearable pieces when the man said no blatantly.

"Nikolai is going!" She screamed.

Alpha Venkat raised a finger in the air. "One, don't yell at me, and two, Nikolai is thirteen years old." He stared at his daughter, taking in her short appearance, "...and you're going to be trampled on by people there."

Heidi gasped at his rude words. "You're just like Niko!"

"Right." The father tsked. "I'll get you fish cakes and I'll even make a fairy put a wish for you in a bottle," Venkat promised and Heidi's eyes lit up.
