Ever since my dream, fear has crept into my thoughts. I couldn't go back to sleep. I kept seeing that mermaid's face. The way she watched me. It was as if to say 'I know you exist now and I know where you are'. Even when the sun came up that fear still resided within me.

Every time I manned up and decided it was foolish to be afraid of the room in my dreams, I ended up stopping at the door and found something else to do. I needed to get down to that treasure room. Being afraid of a mermaid was not good, not like a time like now.

That was why I ordered four of my guards along with Martin to accompany me. The more, the merrier. If anything, they would protect me. I hoped. The mermaid was in my dreams, not reality. This was absurd. A grown man afraid of the dark. I was a King. Another King was out to get me, I didn't have time to be afraid of some mermaid in my dream.

Martin sensed my uneasiness and suggested, "Me and two of the guys are going to check
