I look at Anna as she smiles; damn, she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life; this is the first time that I have seen her smile, and it's beautiful. Her eyes light up with hope and freedom. I don't know, but her smile is just…. Wow!
I take her hand in mine, knowing that we need to get to the safe house as soon as we possibly can. It is the only way I can guarantee her safety. Shit, we have a lot of ground to cover, and much of it is rough terrain. I look at her in her designer dress and ridiculously high heels.
This is going to be hard on her. I look at her as I say. "Give me your shoes."
She hands them over with a frown, and I break off the heels hoping that it will make the trek a little easier for her. There is not much I can do with the dress, though, handing the shoes back as I go to take off my jacket as I say.
"Are you cold.?" Anna begins to giggle as she pushes that jacket back at me as she says, "You're going to need that more than me, Ash; you're forgetting that I'm a vampire."
I throw my head back and laugh, she might have vampire blood, but she's the furthest thing I have ever seen from a Vampire ever. So yeah, it's easy to forget just what she is. I grab hold of her hand once again before we head into the forest as I say.
"Are you ready to get out of here?" She squeezes my hand as she replies. "So, fucking ready."
I think she has Just realized that she really has escaped the deranged vampire, King. I know he's going to come looking for her, but I also know that he will never find her, not where I'm taking her. She surprises me on the long trek. I'm an ex-military man, a championship fighter, and in my prime, and it's hard work for me, but my tiny little queen stays by my side every step of the way.
It takes six hours before I finally see the familiar landmarks, six hours of strenuous trekking, and Anna is beginning to tire as I urge her on. "We're almost there," I say.
Another twenty minutes and she drops to sit on a rock; I can see how exhausted she is; with a sigh, I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder; as she lets out a yell, I chuckle, resisting the urge to smack her perfect round buttocks, as I say.
"Come on; we're almost there, baby." I chuckle again; I just love calling her baby.
Less than 10 minutes later, I drop Anna to her feet as I reach for the opening in the old tree before pulling her in behind me; I lift up the concealed flooring; she lets out a gasp when she sees the steps leading down to the bunker.
"Wow, what is this place?" She asks as I guide her down the stairs. "The place no Vampire King will ever find."
I say as I lead her through another door and into the large open-plan living area; I smile when her chin drops to the ground as she looks out of the hidden windows at the waterfall that cascades down in front of it.
"This place is amazing."
She whispers, and I nod my head in agreement as I already know it is; when the vampires started to move in all those years ago, I began to build this place, knowing that one day I would need a safe haven. Never in a million years did I think that I would be bringing a vampire down here with me, but then again, never in a million years did I think that I would be attracted to a Vampire Queen.
I shake my head, clearing my thoughts before I show Anna around the rest of the place, leaving out the weapons and tech rooms. It's been a long-ass night, and we have spent most of it walking here; the poor woman looks exhausted.
"Come on, baby," I say before taking her hand and leading her into one of the bedrooms; I hunt through the supplies, leaving her some clean towels and spare clothes.
"Thank you, Ash." She says, with a grateful smile; I leave her alone, knowing that a hot shower and a long sleep are what she needs right now.
I head off to another room as I do the same, standing in the shower as I let the hot run over my skin as the thoughts of a very sexy naked vampire in the next room fills my head.
Shit……
Taking my hard length in my hand, I begin to pump my hand up and down my aching cock before I explode against the tiled wall…
Once I've cleaned up, I fall into the bed. I should be getting in touch with the crew, but that will have to wait for a couple of hours. I'm no good to anyone without any sleep. I close my eyes, still unable to get the beautiful woman from my mind, before I finally fall into a restless sleep.
Four hours later, and I'm up again, my years in the military leaving me able to get by with just a few hours of sleep. I throw on some tracksuit pants before making my way into the tech room, passing Anna’s room, and resisting the urge to take a peep.
Jesus…. I'm like a horny teenager when that woman's around.
I stay strong as I force myself to walk past her door and down the hallway to the rest of the bunker. Sending my coded messages around the world.
When I've finished, I sit back with a grin; King Areon will not know what hits him.
My stomach rumbles, reminding me how long it has been since I last ate, checking my watch. Anna has been sleeping for eight hours now, and for some reason, I feel the need to check up on her.
I close the tech door before walking down the hallway and tapping on her door.
"Anna, are you awake?"
There's no answer…. Anna?" I say again.
Something isn't right; I can feel it… I slowly open the door looking at the sleeping beauty on the bed; her breathing seems so shallow; I shake her shoulders as I whisper.
"Anna, baby." She opens her weary eyes with a groan, and I whisper, "What's wrong, baby?"
She sighs as she replies with a faint whisper...."I need blood."
Chapter 9Ash's point of view."I need blood", she whispers before she collapses in my arms."Anna," I shout as I desperately try to wake her up. Fuck, this is not good. I don't have time to hunt for a blood source; there's only one thing I can do to keep her alive. With my heart in my mouth, I race into the kitchen, taking a knife from the drawer before running back into the bedroom and bringing the blade down as I slash across my palm."Fuck."I let out a groan of pain as the blade pierces my skin before placing my hand over her mouth and forcing her lips open as I let the blood trickle inside, praying that it somehow gets into her body.It seems like an eternity before she finally flickers her eyes open as she sucks greedily on my blood; her eyes go wide when she realises where the blood is coming from. She lets out a groan before she leans over the side of the bed and throws up all over the floor."Are you okay?" I ask as I look at her, not knowing what the hell is going on."Yeah
Ash's point of view Why does she have to feel so good in my arms? We're cuddled up on the sofa; when the end of the film credits roll by, I whisper Anna's name when I realise that she hasn't moved. "Anna, baby?" I look down and chuckle when I see her fast asleep, her head resting on my shoulder; even when she sleeps, she's so fucking beautiful. I sit and hold her, just for a while…. I tell myself. Tomorrow I will put some distance between us. I have to for my own sanity; how the hell can I be attracted to a Vampire; it just isn't right... It does not make any sense at all. I let out a sigh before picking her up and carrying her to bed; she is so light in my arms. She seems too fragile to be a Vampire, too small. If she were human, I would be wanting to feed her up; she is nothing but skin and bones. I know that having a constant supply of fresh blood is going to help her, but I wish that there were more that I could do for her. She lets out a tired yawn as I place her in the bed
Ash's point of viewI spend the rest of the day talking to Bear and his team; Anna keeps away. I think she either feels a little intimidated by the size of these guys, or she doesn't want them to know that she's a Vampire.I make sure to keep an eye on the time, though, sneaking off to make sure she's feeding. Bear raises his eyebrows every time I excuse myself. He never misses a thing…..Later on in the evening, as we're all eating, he asks where Anna is and why she's not eating; I make an excuse before heading off into her room with a tray of food.I still do not know how these guys will act when they find out she's a vampire. It's probably best to play it safe.Later in the evening, Anna finally picks up the courage to join us in the main living area; she takes a seat on the sofa next to me as she looks around the room. I can understand why she's feeling nervous around them. These are big guys, but they are good guys. They don't prey on the innocent. The longer she's in the room wi
Ash's point of viewI can't believe I'm acting like a teenager, making out with a Vampire. I take her lips one last time before I leave the room, she's been through so much, and I don't want to push her before she's ready.Damn, though, I've never felt like this before; one kiss, and I'm a goner.I head straight into my own room, hoping that I don't run into anyone in the corridor, my very obvious erection causing a tent in my pants. Thankfully though, the corridors are bare, and I slip into my room unnoticed, throwing off my clothes before heading into the shower to take care of my aching dick.I've never felt this attracted to a woman before, now don't get me wrong, I like a bit of female company to warm my bed at night, but it never goes any further and never more than one night. But where Anna is concerned, I find myself longing for more. She provokes feelings in me that I've never felt before. Once I'm showered and cleaned up, I dive into bed, waiting for her to fill my dreams.
Ash's point of viewSo that is how I find myself packing up a kit to head into the Eden forest and hopefully find this high witch. Of course, Bear insists that he tags along with his team, not that I expected anything else from the big guy. He's always had my back, just as I will always have his.I've packed up everything I need, and I'm just waiting for the blood transfusion to finish aa Anna needs all the strength she can find if we're going to make this journey tonight.Once the drip is empty, I manage to find her some warm clothes to change into, and we're ready to head off as night falls. The only way to get to the heart of Eden forest is by foot, and it's rumoured to be guarded by a large pack of wolves. I must admit I'm thankful to Bear and his team to be tagging along with us, especially seeing as he knows this witch.I'm still not convinced that this witch isn't real all my life. I've been told stories of the myth of Eden forest, and all my life, that's all I've ever believed
Ash's point of view.Darius and the pack of wolves lead us back to the edge of the forest; he turns to look at us as he says."Let me know when it's time to take the Vampires down; I want in. Those bloodsuckers have been causing shit for far too long."He looks at Anna as he says. "Sorry, no offence meant to you."Anna giggles as she replies. "None taken, Darius."He pulls her into a hug before turning his back on us and changing into his massive wolf form; he lets out a howl before disappearing into the dense, dark forest.Just 24 hours ago, I didn't think that werewolves; were real, but pretty soon, I'll be going to war with a whole pack of them on my side.I can't help but grin; our odds of winning this war just got a hell of a lot better, that's for sure.I take Anna's hand in mine as we make our way back to the bunker; I can tell the trek is beginning to catch up on her now; Bear grins when I scope her up into my arms as we walk the last couple of miles. When we get back, the fir
Ash's point of viewI wake up with a groan; I have no idea what time I fell into bed last night after my heavy conversation with Bear; all I remember is that we emptied the whisky bottle first.Fuck….. I'm getting far too old for this shit.I swing my legs out of bed as I check the time. It's 7.30 in the morning, definitely later than I'm used to getting up. I head into the kitchen to get myself a glass of water. Bear is up, of course, and looking as fresh as a daisy…. Or maybe a seven-foot sunflower but either way, he looks a hell of a lot better than I feel."Good Morning."He says in a voice that is far too cheery; I nod my head before filling my glass to the brim. Bear makes us both breakfast as I head off to the medical room to get a bag of fresh blood for Anna. There is no answer when I knock on her door, so I slowly open it and pop my head inside. She is sleeping; her dark hair is spread across the pillows as the morning sun lights up her pale face; I stop and look at her like
Ash's point of viewI grin as I hook up another bag of blood; fingers crossed, I get to go for round three later. I kiss her sweet lips as I leave her lying in the bed as the blood drips through, and I walk out of that bedroom door feeling like a fucking king.Everyone's eyes turn to look at me when I walk into the living area; Bear chuckles as he says, your breakfast is still here though I think it might be cold now.I grin, still feeling like a fucking king as I grab my cold breakfast and throw it down my neck, like a starved man.Bear watches me with a raised eyebrow as I say. "What? I'm starving-man."He chuckles as he replies. "Don't worry, Son, we all heard you working up an appetite."I shrug my shoulders with a grin on my face, Bear and the rest of the team know me well, this is just banter between the boys, and I know none of them will embarrass Anna. They have too much respect for her.I spend the next couple of hours in the tech room with Bear and Cookie, named as his mothe
Ysabel's point of view I Have butterflies in my stomach. It’s my wedding day again, only this time we get married the human way.I've been dreaming about this day ever since I was a little girl. I can't believe that it is finally here. Only this time, I get to Marry the man of my dreams and my best friend. Not forced to marry a Monster like the day I supposedly married the vampire King. The sun is shining brightly as I jump out of the shower before quickly brushing my teeth and washing my face, trying to calm my nerves. My bridesmaid and newly found best friend Linda standing beside me, her excitement contagious as she helps me into the beautiful white lace gown that she picked up for me.Linda had picked my perfect dress, one that fits perfectly, enhancing my little bump and making me feel like a princess. I giggle, a princess who will soon become a queen. It's funny how life works out. I can't help but smile when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. This dress was bloody ma
Anna’s point of view. And that is how I became the Queen Dragon, and although the day has been perfect, and we are married under the Moon Goddess, I know it’s not the kind of wedding Ash really wanted, but thanks to Cookie and Stans's wife Linda, I have my own surprise for him when we get back to the bunker. We say our goodbye to the moon goddess after she whispers to me,“The Queen stone must be carried with you at all times; as soon as it sees the light, it will expose your Dragon powers, but the stone can also be used to call me to you; if ever you need my help Anna, you can call me through the stone.”Thank you, Moon Goddess, I whisper, before she disappears back into the night sky. Ophelie looks at me as she says, “We have prepared a feast for our King and Queen.”We follow the witches back to their lair as the wolves part, leaving an aisle for us to walk through. Ash squeezes my hand as he whispers, “I know it’s not the kind of wedding you wanted, baby, but I am so happy to hav
Anna’s point of viewSo, it is the following morning, and we are oft to Eden Forest once more, only this time for the first time. It is for a joyous occasion because today is the day I get to become Ash’s wife, Mrs Ash Willaims, Queen of the Dragons.Who would have thought it possible all those weeks ago when all I ever wanted was to be a normal person, and now all I ever need to be my King’s side, The Dragon King, the true king of the people, the man who will end this war and set humanity free. You couldn't write this shit, could you!I smile as we pull into the outskirts of the forest. The forest is decorated in green ribbons, and when Darius and his pack come to find us, they each wear a green, collar the colour every one associates with The Dragon King—Emerald green, just like his beautiful scales.I hold Ash’s hand as the wolves guide us to the witch's lair. Ophelia is the first to greet us with a warm hug, as do the other three witches.Darius leads Ash away as Ophelia ushers me
Anna’s point of view. After the breakfast of Dragons, we head outside again, only this time we have Bear and Cookie with us; it’s time to learn the art of fire breathing.I watch as Ash and Dylan each take the gem that turns them into their Dragons, and yes, they are still as magnificent as they were this morning; I have to laugh as when Cookie see the size of Ash’s Dragon, I swear his eyes popped out from his head.Yes, Cookie, he is impressive! Both in Human form and in Dragon form.I somehow end up being the mediator between the two Dragons and their two best friends; Bear raises an eyebrow at this, and I shrug my shoulders and smile. How can I explain something that I do not understand myself? After a couple of hours, Ash lets out a long sigh * I can’t do it; it’s not working**It will, Ash; we must keep trying* I reply, trying to sound confident for his sake when, really, I have no idea if this is ever going to work. All I know is that for the Army to penetrate the underworld, t
Anna's point of view. After many hours of talks with the high witch of Eden forest, it would seem that the only way to open up the underworld is by fire, and it just so happens that we have two huge Dragons on our side, Two huge inexperienced Dragons who must both learn how to fly and breath fire, Dylan is quite happy for once that he has a little more experience than Ash. and I smile as I watch the pair of them together,We are standing above the waterfall today, out in the open. Yes, it may be dangerous, but Ash hopes that no one knows of this place, and when a dragon needs to learn how to fly, then it would be dangerous to be seen.So here we are…Dylan stands above the waterfall, and I must admit I feel a bit anxious as I watch him. Ash unwraps the Dragon Heart Gem, and within minutes, two magnificent Dragons stand before me, Dragons whose scales shimmer in the early morning light. They really are a beautiful sight to see.Dylan looks to Ash as he says, *Just let your wings unfold
Anna’s point of viewWe stay locked in each other’s grasp until I shiver in his arms; Ash gently places me down as he whispers.“Let’s get you out of here before you catch a cold baby,” I have to giggle as he passes me a towel hidden in some nook in the cave, and I whisper, “You think of everything Ash”“Everything except spare clothes, I must remember that for next time,” he chuckles. as he hands me his boxer shorts and t-shirt. Once I'm dry, I slip into his t-shirt, which drops to my knees, before pulling his boxers on; he looks at me as he says,“I like you in my clothes; everyone knows that you are mine.”Which makes me giggle as I say, “I think they all know I’m yours by now, Ash.” He smiles.“You were always meant to be mine, Anna,” he says before taking my hand as he leads me back along the narrow ledge to the balcony, which is thankfully still empty, and we step back through the gate unnoticed. We're not so lucky when we get inside, though as all heads turn to look at us, I c
The Hidden King and IChapter 80Anna's point of viewAsh and the rest of the guys keep their promise and enjoy the whole weekend off. It is a weekend of fun and friendship, relaxation and happiness. It's good to see the atmosphere like this. It would seem they all needed this, but when Monday morning comes around, it's all back to business and back to planning the next step of this war with the Demons.Ash is up at the crack of dawn as usual, and after a quick shower, I join them in the kitchen as I help prepare the breakfasts for the troops; it's not an easy task when you have a few hundred mouths to feed,I join Bear at the stove, and Dylan and Cookie lend a hand, too; Cookie seems to be a good influence on him. He is not your typical moody twelve-year-old anymore; he is mature for his age and fits in here with all of the other guys. I have heard him talking of his girlfriend, though I do think he's missing her.I know that Ash and Dylan, being the powerful Dragons they are, will b
The Hidden King and IChapter 79Anna's point of viewI wake up in the morning still wrapped in Ash's strong arms. I let out a sigh of contentment as I watch him sleep; he looks so peaceful when he sleeps, I giggle as I try to slide out of his arms; he lets out a groan but doesn't wake up, After using the toilet, I'm tempted to slide back into the bed beside him, but when I get a whiff of the bacon cooking, there's no way I can; it has been weeks since I've been able to eat properly my stomach grumbles as I follow the smell to the kitchen where I find Bear at the stove, I immediately grab some food as I help him to cook breakfast for the troops, it feels like I've never been away from the place, Bear grins as he says,"Boy, is it good to have you back, little lady?"I smile as I reply; it's good to be back, even though I feel as though I've never been away.He laughs, "Yeah, it must seem a little strange." "More than a little strange," I say with a giggle,"First, I find out that m
The Hidden King and IChapter 78Anna's point of view.I wake up in Ash's arms as usual, but when I open my eyes and look around the roomI notice that I am no longer in the hospital or at the bunker.I turn my head to Ash, he smiles when he sees me awake, and I whisper,"Where are we, Ash?""At Eden Forest, in Ophelia's house."I frown; what the hell! I do not remember being here, and I don't know why we are here. And I listen quietly as Ash tells me everything.I'm carrying the Dragon heir….Ash chuckles as he says,"I know it's a lot to take in. God, I wish you could have seen everything that happened today; I wish you could have seen our baby the way I did; it was beautiful."Bear's deep voice calls from the doorway."About that" He hands me his phone before pressing play; it feels unreal as I look at the screen and watch myself. I'm lying on Eden Rock. I remember it from last time, and I watch as the witches chant and the wolves howl; the most beautiful white lady appears above
