Chapter 28: More Deal

LISA'S POV

As I watched, the strange woman Andre had brought to the restaurant glanced over and caught my eye. She raised an eyebrow, a smug smile spreading across her face. I looked away, not wanting to give her the satisfaction of seeing me react.

I couldn't help sneaking glances at them as they sat there, enjoying their coffee and pastries. They seemed happy, content. It was like they didn't have a worry in the world.

Meanwhile, I was stuck in this restaurant, hiding behind a plant like a coward. I was angry and frustrated, wondering how my life had come to this. How had Andre, the man I loved, ended up with this woman?

I thought back to the day they met, the way Andre was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. I had tried to warn him, to tell him she was trouble, but he hadn't listened.

And now, here we were. Andre and his new girlfriend, living it up while I was left to pick up the pieces of my shattered heart.

I was furious. Didn't Andre know how much I loved him? Didn't he care
