61. Beat the Enemy

After putting on the scuba mask again, Seth opened the door to Cayden's room. Finding an empty bed, his eyebrows arched high. His gaze swept around.

The room looked empty, but Seth knew that it was impossible for Cayden and Emily to leave. Based on the health report that he stole, Cayden's legs had not yet recovered. And based on Emily's personality, she couldn't possibly leave Cayden alone.

"They think they can deceive me?" Seth snorted lightly. "They're so stupid."

Silently, he started searching. He checked behind the door, then behind the couch. He thought Emily and Cayden were there. But apparently, his assumption was wrong.

Frowning, Seth turned to a round table near the window. It's big enough for two people to hide behind the tablecloth. But once again, he found no one.

"They're not here?" Laughing softly, Seth glanced at the large closet on the other side of the room. "Then they must be there."
