35. Shocking Reality

When she woke up, Emily stared wide-eyed at the round face in front of her. She remembered she had met Sky last night. She also remembered when everything turned dark. But now, why was Sky suddenly young again?

"Is this a dream? I'm still asleep?"

Blinking weakly, Emily checked the surroundings. She was in a small room. Her body lay on the bed. Her clothes were still the same as last night. Her body size too. So why was Sky any different?

"Sky?" she asked quietly.

Suddenly, the little girl with curly hair laughed. Her voice was similar to young Sky.

"I'm not Sky, but Summer."

Emily's eyebrows rose higher. "Summer? The one who accompanied Sky from France? The one who named a dog after me? You're a child?"

The little girl nodded cutely. She was in sheep-patterned pajamas. With hands pressing her thighs, she looked adorable.

"Yes, that's my name. I was born in winter, but Mama named me Summer. Mama said, I came into this world bringing warmth." She hugged herself.
