Tori POV

I was having a wonderful dream where Victor and I were sitting on the huge lawn in front of the packhouse watching the children running around playing tag, just like we used to do. He was staring at me with the most beautiful blue eyes and a loving smile on his face. I smiled back and he leaned over and kissed my lips. I heard voices coming from behind us and turned to see Tammy and Eric happily walking up to us. Tammy plopped herself down next to me and began tapping my nose. I shook my head, but she kept tapping it.

“Tori! Tori!” I heard her yelling as she giggled in my ear. I swatted at her hands, and she laughed.

“Tori! Open your eyes!” I snapped my eyes open to see Tammy sitting on the edge of my bed. Eric was standing in the doorway. “Wake up sleepy head! Time to make the donuts!” I covered my head with my pillow and groaned.

“Go away” I mumbled as she giggled again and tried to pull the pillow away.

Tori POV I stood there with my jaw on the floor. Did he just say no?! Did he just tell me that he has no intentions of introducing me as his daughter? I am utterly shocked, angered, and most importantly, embarrassed. I could feel my face burn red and my anger even more. I shook my head and took a few steps back. I tried to take a deep breath but only managed to take a deep sob. Victor and Eric stood still with emotionless faces, obviously knowing what kind of mood the Alpha was in. I saw pain and regret in Victor’s eyes. He wanted to come console me, but he would be punished if he did. I didn’t quite understand what just happened, but I need to leave here. The last few days have been quite a whirlwind of happenings. I got cheated on by my boyfriend, found out that my best friend is mated to a Gamma wolf, I found my long-lost father, found my childhood friend, learned that I have a Genesis wolf, a crazy person tried to kill me, and I’m su

  • The Healer   Chapter 36

Tori POV After the meeting was over, I apologized to Dr. MacDonald for my behavior, but there was something about Alpha Black that I wasn’t comfortable with. Without going into too much detail about my abilities, I explained I saw something in the healing bond that Mystic was very wary of. He wanted to talk more about it, but I was not feeling too well diving through that man’s clouds. I also thought it would be best to discuss with my Alpha what I saw and felt. Being the Alpha of one of the most powerful and largest packs on this side of the country, the information might be of use. Eric and Tammy helped me to the car, and we drove back to the pack in silence. After what the doctor witnessed, he suggested I go home and rest. We pulled up the driveway to the packhouse and Eric parked the car. Shutting off the engine, all three of us just sat there quietly thinking about what had just happened. I was angrier about his treatment of Eric than anything.

  • The Healer   Chapter 37

Victor POV I sat silently watching her chest rise and fall with each silent breath. Her eyes closed, but she looked every bit the angelic beauty she is. Her long eyelashes fanned across her cheek. Her dark hair splayed out across her pillow looking as if she was floating. A slight pink shade covered her face and her lips a rosy, red just begging to be kissed. If it weren’t for her passing out from shock, I’d be kissing them right now. Thinking back to the events that led us here, I cringed at the thought of yelling at her. Especially dragging her up to the office and throwing her in the chair. What the hell was the matter with me?! I have never treated anyone let alone Tori like that! Honestly, I was scared. Truly and honestly to the bone scared at what I had witnessed. Never before have I seen someone bring a being back from the dead. Maybe in black magic practices they do that, but not a sweet innocent healer like Tori. I knew Alpha Rick had som

  • The Healer   Chapter 38

Merrick POV It’s been a while now since Tori healed the warrior. After her amazing abilities brought him back, he was taken to the hospital. I watched as Victor practically dragged her back to my office. If I didn’t know he was scared at what he’d seen, I would have ripped his head off for treating her so harshly. I didn’t need to say anything anyway for she gave him an earful and I couldn’t help smiling to myself. After explaining to her what happened, Tori didn’t take it well and passed out. My heart was in pieces having to explain it all to her. I know she didn’t ask for this ability, but she will learn how to use it properly. I had Victor take her back to her room and sit with her until she wakes up. It’s been quite an eventful day for her, so I expect her to be out for most of the day. Sitting alone in my office, my mind is all over the place. I am scared for Tori. Hopefully no one understood what happened with Ryder, but I know a

  • The Healer   Chapter 39

Tori POV “Make me yours, mate!” He crushed his lips to mine, and we continued our sultry dance that only lovers do. With gentle hands that flowed down my sides and across my belly. Lifting one thigh, he lowered himself between my legs. One hand held his weight as the other continued to explore my body. I ran my hands down his perfectly toned chest and wrapped them around his waist, gripping the muscles of his firm ass. I heard him growl low in his chest and began nipping at my neck, biting a trail down to my shoulder. With a sharp intake of breath, I wrapped my other leg around his waist, and I could feel his excitement on my center. “Tori… tell me your mine!” Victor demanded in a stern but pleading tone although his gaze was soft as a caress. I could feel the tingling in the pit of my stomach, my heart jolted, and my pulse raced as I dragged my nails down his back earning me another round of growls and moans.

  • The Healer   Chapter 40

Victor POVMy heart raced and Ivan howled in joy at finally claiming our chosen mate. Although we could not mark each other, it still didn’t diminish what we both shared. I could feel the bond strengthen as soon as we surrendered our virtues to one another. I could feel Ivan come to the surface and share my feelings and vision as I saw Mystic quickly show herself through Tori’s eyes.We finished our shower and were getting dressed. I sat on the bed and watched her brush her hair. She looked like an angel, my dark-haired beauty standing before me. My love for her grows with each passing minute. I could not fathom a life without her. It physically pained me to have such thoughts, so I pushed them away and focused back on her. She stared back at me with a grin on her face. “You look more and more beautiful every day.” Just as I expected, I noticed a deep flush appeared on her cheeks and neck, and I chuckled. Too cute. “Victor, stop.” She whined as I chuckl

  • The Healer   Chapter 41

Tori POV I stood over my father with my hands squeezing his as tight as I could. My mind was searching his for the healing tether. Mystic came forward and used her abilities to tie into Apache. The problem was, Apache was an Alpha wolf. They are very strong, independent, and proud. Even though I was his daughter, and an Alpha myself, Alpha wolves are still too proud to accept help.“Damnit Apache!” I screamed at him through the healing bond. He was pulling his own healing magic to help Rick but continued to block me out. What the hell was he doing!? I am trying to heal him from the excessive bleeding from the knife wound. The knife had entered in the center of his chest just below the sternum, barely missing his heart, but it did crack a couple of ribs. Suddenly, my hands started to burn, then my arms, then the sensation traveled throughout my body. It felt like flames were melting my skin from the inside. I looked down at the knife and noticed that it was silver. The

Merrick POVI opened the door to see Corinne standing there with tears rolling her face. I noticed a silver knife in her hand pointed right at me.“Corinne? What are you doing?” She took a step towards me, and I stepped back.“You. Are. Mine!” Before I could move, she plunged the knife into my chest, and I dropped to the floor gasping for breath. My head was spinning and everything was fuzzy.“Victor….. help.” I mindlinked him just before my eyes went dark and I passed out.My mind had awakened before I even opened my eyes. I could hear people talking, an annoying beep, and a rush of air. A strong smell of bleach or cleaner, soft linen and…. Fresh roses and rain. I smiled to myself knowing that wonderful scent. Teaghan was here. I tried to move my arms, but they felt like they were full of lead. My body was tired and heavy, and my mind was exhausted. I groaned out my discomfort and a moment later I felt a warm hand gripping mine.“Alpha?” I heard her sweet angelic voice call to me. Sh

Alpha Rick POV“So, Victor, talk,” I stated as I took a chair and sat across from Victor. He began explaining his conversation with Warrior Liam. Several times, he needed to calm his wolf, Apache, and soothe him with promises of protecting their pup. I held Tori’s hand tightly during our conversation, afraid if I let go, she would disappear. Victor spoke softly as if not to awaken Tori, but I could tell he wanted to touch her but refrained from doing so.“How the hell did we miss that? We had Tyler and Jeremy on him since Tori’s first attack. Did he meet with anyone? We must bring them in and report what they have found.”I leaned back in my chair and rubbed my hands down my face. Shaking my head with a heavy sigh, I glanced at Victor and hardened myself for the following conversation.“Victor…” He slowly opened his eyes to mine, and I saw regret, pain, and embarrassment.“Yes, Alpha,” He choked out softly. His hands were clenched together as he leaned forward on his knees.“You attac

  • The Healer   Chapter 90

Tori POVAs I followed the doctor down the hall to Alpha Ronin’s room, my mind was going rampant with thought after thought. Inside, I find him hooked to a heart monitor and several IVs attached to each arm. A nurse was holding pressure on a neck wound with bulky bandages, but the blood was seeping through alarmingly fast.“Tori, please, can you help him?” I stared at the damage Ivan had caused and cringed, realizing the level of power behind his anger—all because of me.“I will try. Alphas can be difficult and stubborn, " I said while keeping my eyes on Alpha Ronin, who was still unconscious.I stepped up to the bed and took a deep breath. I felt Mystic push forward and peer through my eyes.‘The Alpha will survive. It was not meant to kill him. Only a warning.’ I took hold of his beautiful, long-fingered, and strong hands that felt cold and clammy to the touch. My heart twinged in pain because of what this poor man had to go through because of me. He was in the wrong place at the wr

  • The Healer   Chapter 89

Victor POV“You are too Late!”He grinned with a mouthful of blood before spitting it at my feet.“For what?” I growled as I grabbed him by the neck and squeezed. He gurgled and tried to gasp, but he only drooled. “Tell me!” I roared again. He twisted his head to look at me. His eyes were cloudy and bloodshot. His body was going limp. He was dying.“Liam!” I gave him a shake, and with one last breath, he spoke.“They…come..take…her.” With that, his head lolled over, and his eyes were milky white. I could feel the spirit leave his body and leave behind a cold, hard shell. He was dead.I released my grip, and he fell to the floor with a thud. Over the last hour, my mind raced with his words, trying my hardest to catch a hint of who he was talking about. He never gave any names to those involved. I know he was working with an Alpha, but I have no idea which one!“Beta! What did he mean?” The guard came up behind me and asked with a shaky voice. I spun on him, and then it hit me.“Tori! S

  • The Healer   Chapter 88

Victor POVI storm out of Alpha’s office in search of Liam. My mind is hazy, and my blood is boiling. I had no idea that Rick had received so many letters threatening to kidnap Tori. He probably felt I would go on the warpath with every pack in the state if I knew, and he’s goddamn right I would!I slammed the front door open and stomped across the yard towards the cells. I vaguely noticed pack members watching with concern out of the corner of my eye. I felt Tori watching me and heard a small whisper, but I could not focus on her right now. Ivan and I needed to neutralize the immediate threat to our little dove.I reached the door to the cells, and as soon as I saw the guards, they opened each door as I walked through to the cement stairs leading to the basement.Passing through the dark, damp, moldy hallways towards Liam’s cell, I was fighting with Ivan to keep him under control. I needed answers from this douchebag, then Ivan can do what he wants.“Open cell number seven now!” I or

  • The Healer   Chapter 87

Tori POVI watched Victor storm across the field toward the cell house where the prisoners were kept. He disappeared through the large iron doors with a resounding thunder that spread across the yard. I stared at the door for a moment before continuing into the house.I went through the kitchen and into the main hall, where several pack members were hanging out, watching movies and playing games. I overheard a conversation as I came to the foyer to ascend the stairs to my father’s office.“So, Whitney, have you guys made it official yet?” I heard a giggle, then a sigh.“Not yet. He said he wanted to hook up at the barbecue tonight.” She squealed in excitement. “I plan on giving myself to him. He hasn’t exactly said it, but I know he’ll announce that we are officially a mated couple tomorrow.” She giggled along with her friends. I rolled my eyes at their childish behavior until one of them spoke.“It must be exciting! To think that you’ll be the Beta female. I wish I could be mated wit

  • The Healer   Chapter 86

Merrick POVAfter the dramatic revelation about Jax and Corinne, I instinctively reached for Teaghan’s hand and led her to my office. As we stepped inside, I noticed Charles by the bookshelves, his attention on a history book. He turned to face us, his movements deliberate.“Alpha, Luna.” He bowed his head before replacing the book on its shelf and standing before us.As we all entered the office, I noticed Eric and Victor giving each other confused looks as they saw Charles waiting for us. I sat at my desk and pulled Teaghan to sit on my lap. She smiled down at me as I deeply inhaled her scent, knowing I needed it before the conversation we were about to have.“First order, Alpha Ronin and Luna Daria. I have the final submission of the treaty. We both have a signed copy of the initial agreements. I have here the addendums with the stipulations you requested. Please take your time reading it and tell me if we missed anything.” I handed both copies to Ronin and Daria, and they sat back

  • The Healer   Chapter 85

Alpha Colton POVI hoisted the warrior over my shoulder, his weight a mere inconvenience. As I prepared to strike, I noticed him still sprawled on the ground, struggling for breath. With a calm stride, I approached, my foot finding its place on his neck.“Submit!” I barked, my voice resonating with authority. In an instant, he complied, his neck exposed in a gesture of defeat. A deep, hearty laugh erupted from my chest. “Excellent! Now, scurry away like the coward you are!” I roared, observing his hasty retreat, his movements a blur of desperation. That was the fourth warrior that I put down today. I hate to admit it, but whatever that healer did to me was f*cking amazing! My shoulder was injured in battle, and some feral rogue bit half of it off. It took me years to heal, and even then, it was only partially healed. I had some mobility and even less strength. Ordering the Healer to prove herself turned out to be a miracle gift. I returned home that day and went straight to the gym. I

  • The Healer   Chapter 84

Tori POV“Get away from my mate!” Beta Jax's voice boomed, filled with a protective fury.I whipped my head around to see Alpha Ronin holding back his enraged Beta. His eyes were piercing black, meaning his wolf had taken over and wanted to get to his mate, not understanding that we were helping her to heal.“Beta…” Tammy leaned slowly towards me and whispered.“No sudden movements. We don’t want him to attack.”“Why would he attack? We’re not doing anything!” I whisper yelled back, never taking my eyes off of the Beta.“His wolf has taken over. He doesn’t know we are healing her; he thinks we are hurting her.” She swallowed heavily and spared a glance at me. “Tori, he’s a Beta wolf fighting for his mate. Do not cross him! He could take down the Alpha right now!” I shook my head, and before I could say anything more, Mystic spoke.‘Tori, Jasper is going crazy. Slowly let go of her hands and place them in your lap. I will try to talk him down.’‘Who the hell is Jasper!’ I thought to my

Tori POVI was so happy I was practically bouncing out of the packhouse. Hearing that my dad would announce to the pack that I was his daughter was absolutely fantastic! Finally, I will be a part of the pack. I can’t wait to meet everybody properly.“Tori!” Tammy yelled as she shook my arm. Come back to us; you’re lost in Lala land!” She giggled as I focused on her, laughing at myself.“Sorry, I am just so excited he’s finally introducing me to the pack and making me a member! I could bust!”As we left the dining room, I caught one of the Omegas staring at me blankly, almost as if she were holding back a sneer.“Thank you very much for breakfast; it was wonderful!” I commented to her, but she did not answer. The other Omegas had their heads bowed, and I thought that was strange but shook it off. We headed up to Tammy’s room to begin planning the barbecue.“We’ll have to meet with the kitchen staff to ensure we have everything for tonight. Also, I’ll have Eric ask some warriors to acco
