Her father was right

Even after everything Caleb said to her, Lily still did not feel better. She felt empty and alone. The feelings lingered in her heart, hurting her like crazy. After class, she picked up her bag and then looked around. There was no one to ask if she was ready to go home. Fae would have said something by now but she wasn't here. And even if she was, there was no guarantee that they would still be friends.

She picked up her bag and then walked out of the school. She decided to walk some distance and then take the bus from there. She had only walked twenty minutes when her phone rang. It was Alexia.

“Hi, Lily,” she said.

“Yes?”

“Where are you?” Alexa asked.

“I am not home yet, but I'm on my way,” Lily answered.

“Okay, are you still in school?” Alexa asked.

“No, I am at the second bus stop after school.” Lily sat on the bench. She was waiting for the bus now.
