Silence. All around them is a deathly silence. Not even an insect’s cry can be heard in the graveyard of quietness, making Anna fear for their lives. Why is it so empty? Where are the monks?

Lavi is thinking the same thing. Surely there should be monks around?

“Lavi, are you sure this is the place?” Anna whispers.

“I am positive!” he says. “My mother came here looking for the book. I know I can find it but…why is it so quiet?”

The place is dimly lit by small candles which are lined along the wall. Strange symbols are carved on the walls, depicting a story of the Great War which had taken place many years ago. Anna stops in front of one of the walls to observe the story it is telling.

“That is the Moon Goddess!” Anna says, recalling one of her many lessons back when she was a Princess at Ezealyra. “And her mate…the God of all Werewolves!”

“They were betrayed by the Gods,” Lavi says. “I heard the story too. The Gods were becoming too cruel towards the creatures on Earth. Humans, W
