Two days passed since Margot fell from the stairs. She remained unconscious which worried her parents. Linda stayed in the hospital to take care of her while Ryan would drop by before and after work. As for Harry, he would only come once a day and wouldn’t even stay more than thirty minutes during his visit.

“I can’t believe that guy. His wife is still in a coma yet he’s acting like it’s not a big deal. He seemed not to care at all,” Linda ranted her hands on her waist.

Ryan sighed. “He’s busy with work. You know that the company has started a huge project. Margot was planning to do it but with her condition, I don’t think she should be working for a while,” he said, looking at his daughter in the hospital bed.

“What did the doctor say? Any news about her waking up soon?” Ryan asked his wife.

Linda shook her head. “He wasn’t sure either. The wound on Margot’s head caused internal bleeding but he said she should be safe by now. The problem is, the doctor doesn’t know for how long she’d

The embarrassment he felt had reached the limit. He knew he wouldn’t forgive Margot for what she did.Meanwhile, Margot stood by the window and watched her husband leave with his mistress. “He didn’t even deny it. Who cares? I’m going to proceed as planned no matter what.”She took her phone and called her lawyer. “Atty. Powell, how’s everything?”Margot’s eyes narrowed for a moment before a sweet smile appeared on her lips. “Thanks for your hard work. My husband threatened me to divorce him. I have no problem with the divorce, but I don’t appreciate him bringing it up when he’s the one at fault,” she paused and looked at her reflection on the glass.“I want you to do somet

Leo tapped his finger on the table while staring at the same document for almost an hour. He was trying to pull himself together but after bumping into Margot in the elevator and seeing her head wrapped in bandages, he couldn’t help thinking what could have happened.“It’s not something related to her husband’s illicit affair, is it?” Leo mumbled to himself, still couldn’t get Margot off his mind.“Doc? Hello? Can you hear me?” Hannah flicked her fingers in front of the doctor but his concentration was top notch and she suddenly felt like her presence wasn’t enough.“Doc, Mrs. Walton is waiting outside,” Hannah finally said, using Margot as her last resort.Leo jolted from his seat and fixed his coat. “Let her in,” he said, making his assistant laugh. “What? Do I look funny?” Leo asked Hannah with her eyebrows knitted.“No, you don’t. You’re acting funny, though. Mrs. Walton doesn’t have an appointment today. She’ll be here tomorrow. Today’s only Thursday,” Hannah informed him.Leo al

Margot stared at nothing in particular. She had been sitting in the driver’s seat of her car for minutes. You’re five weeks pregnant,” Dr. Vivian informed her after.Margot was hoping for it to happen for years and she was undoubtedly happy about it. The only problem was Harry, the father of her baby. She was ready to send him to hell when the baby appeared in the picture, making her think twice about revenge.“What should I do now?” Margot asked herself, placing her hand on her not-so-noticeable baby bump. She was so deep in her thoughts that she didn’t hear the phone ringing. It took her another couple of minutes before realizing that someone was calling. Margot checked her phone when it rang again for the nth time. Leo let out a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness. You shouldn’t ignore what happened, especially when your husband’s mistress was involved. Did you tell your family about this?”“Yes,” Margot nodded her head. “They didn’t know I’m pregnant though. If they did, they wouldn’t wait for me to wake up before screwing up my husband’s mistress,” she said, smiling.“Still, you should be more careful.” Leo clenched his fist. “About your pregnancy, did you tell your husband?” he asked, staring at her face.Margot’s expression turned sour. “No way. He’s probably going to use this baby against me. I know my husband, he’s going to manipulate me into submitting to him just because I’m carrying his child. He would do anything to keep me on the leash like he did for the past few years we’ve been together,” she said, gritting her teeth.“I rather divorce him now. But it’s not going to be easy,” Margot mumbled.“Why? Didn’t you have evidence of his affair?” Leo asked, his eyebrows knitted.Margot nodded.
