Everyone was standing up to leave. I went back just in time. To my surprise as I turned to watch Luther leave, I came face to face with him whispering something in my fathers ear. My father had a serious expression on his face and after a few seconds Luther backed up. My father said something I couldn't make out just before Luther headed out.

Something wasn't right and I would get to the bottom of it. I gathered my stuff and sat next to my dad. All I got was a simple glance from him before he went back to work.
