Chapter 7: Grandfather

Olivia and other people were directed to start the invasion of the Eternal land. The older woman led them to a strange forest. They walked on a path full of colorful, beautiful bubbles and the dazzling glittering light surrounding the forest. Liliana was enjoying the beautiful scenery while expressing her delight.

"Olivia, this is so incredible! Look at these bubbles! Can you guess what it's made of? And... I feel them kinda solid..."- Liliana whispered to Olivia.

Olivia did not care too much about the happiness of her friend, the thing she noticed was the peculiar lake. Liliana was bored for a little bit when her friend seemed not to care about her, but she was still delighted to see this amazing scenery. Then people gradually crossed the roads and found the gate to the eternal academy. Everyone stopped at the gate, silently listening to the lady presenting the rules there. The old woman's old husky voice rang out evenly like carrying the sound of a guitar that made everyone feel sleepy. You are the best-chosen representatives, carrying the light and power of the ancient gods and your task is to dedicate your souls and build a magic circle to protect our galaxy. And here- the eternal academy will teach you how to become excellent protectors.

After that, a sparkling light appeared. From the light, a beautiful woman came out... she wearing a dress studded with pearls. She also had perfectly white hair.

"Hello, you guys, I'm Pisana-the principal of the eternal academy. I hope you guys will become more mature when learning here. I bet all of you will love this place!"- the woman said.

"Pure directly brought you guys here, so you have to know how important you are. The study is essential but you also have to rest.  I will entrust you to mother mermaid and mother fire. I hope you guys will try your best!"- she continued.

Pisana didn't wait for anyone to ask any more questions, she disappeared immediately. Then two other elderly women appeared. Two people, one green and one red form a sharp contrast. They did not say any words but led everyone to the west of the academy. The first mission of these chosen children was to arrange rooms and cook dinner by themselves. After dinner, everyone went back to their room and prepared to rest. Olivia and Liliana chose a room to stay together. While Olivia was arranging her bed, Liliana was struggling with her questions.

"Don't you worry?"- Liliana suddenly asked.

"But... worry for what?"- Olivia said.

Liliana didn't care about that answer, she continued thinking.

"I mean the tests, I don't know your feeling but I'm very worried."

Olivia suddenly stopped arranging, but then she continued her work.

"Why do you know there will have some tests for us?" said Olivia.

"Hmm... My grandfather used to be a nominee, he wrote a letter and sent it back to my family. In the letter, he mentioned all the things happened in this school. My grandfather's letter is still kept by my family."- Liliana sighed.

When finished cleaning, she looked at her friend and asked:

"Your family?"

"Yep. My family is famous for three generations being chosen as the representatives for constellation number four. My family used to be prosperous, but in my grandfather's generation, everything had changed."

"But... why?". Olivia was very interested in the Liliana family story, so she was very curious and Liliana also felt excited when Olivia showed such interest.

"I only know because that the god's light in the blood of my family is lost. My father said that and he didn't say anything more. I'm always curious about the reason for this story."

Olivia started thinking about something, then she said:

"I've read a book named "The god's light". That book mentioned the reason for changing blood. Mixing blood can create and destroy divine light."

"Oh, You are so knowledgeable! I've even heard anything about that book. Where did you find that?"

"In my grandfather's library."

"Oh! Your grandfather? Who is he?"

"hmm... He's just a normal person..."

"You're lying! Your grandfather is not that normal, you're concealing the truth. Just... be honest with me, please!"

Olivia was surprised a bit. She stared at Liliana's eyes and she saw a gleam of light passing by. Through her eyes, Olivia knew that Liliana is the daughter of the Wennest family on Etmin planet.

"You don't believe me? My grandfather is just a kind man."

Her eyes were so consistent, so Liliana seemed to trust her.

"I believe in you, but I really want to meet your grandfather once."

"You made me think that you won't trust me..."

"Sorry... that's my fault!"

"Alright! I will take you to see my grandfather if we have a chance."

"You're so kind!"

Liliana was so excited but they had to be silent when hearing footsteps outside. In their warm blanket, Olivia carefully remembered Liliana's words.

The Wennest family inherited the special ability, they could see the truth. But time flies and this ability gradually faded. Like just a few minutes ago, Olivia used trickery to trick her friend and she didn't realize that. Maybe next time, she will hire a strange man and let Liliana meets him. She can't let Liliana meet Oliwen.

Oliwen was drinking water, and suddenly sneezed. He began to wonder: "Am I sick?"
