-Hazel-

Time had passed since the incident of Bleu almost killing a member of the village and it still surprises me till this day how understanding the rest of the villagers were. I had thought that for sure, we would have been either alienated, kicked out of the village or even worse reported to the head of the village.

That may have put us in harm’s way as the head of the village, although a Baron, is still a noble with strong ties to the royal capital and to the higher society. No doubt that he must have heard the news about my disappearance. But thank moon goddess that was not the case. We were sure lucky that the males that Bleu almost killed were not first time offenders and that they have already built a reputation for themselves in the village.

I adjust the straw hat that I had in my head and wipe the beads of sweat on my fore head. The one thing that I will never be able to forget from that day was just how vulnerable Bleu looked. All he cared about was what I thought and wha

I was still trying to wrap my mind around what it was that she was saying but it was becoming very very hard for me to pay attention. My mind was telling me one thing but my heart was saying another thing. There is no way that I believe what Mabel was telling me but I could feel the anxiousness and worry from Bleu through our mate bond. I mean for what reason would Bleu have to be so anxious. It was like he was afraid but not from a dangerous situation.“I know that it may be hard for you to believe me but I saw it with my very eyes. This is the main reason why I and the other she wolves of the village warned you about the daughter of the village head. She is one that is known to pry on the males that she finds good looking or very interesting. My mind was still screaming at me that there is no way that was she is saying could be possible. However, even I was not aware that I was already making my way over to the village square, where the high in status were wolves were known to reside

-Hazel-For sure, if we were back at the royal capital, the other noble she wolves would look at me like I have gone complete crazy or some thing. It was so bad that a promiscuous male was considered to be a very healthy one as they would often say that it was just their nature, just who they are.For the longest time, I also grew up with this kind set as well. The only thing that sets a married she wolf apart from a mistress was the fact that a mistress’s child would never be able to even come close to being the heir of a noble title but of course, they were given a better life than the one that they would have been made to live if they were to be remain being a commoner.I had accepted this and thought that there was no choice than to one day, share my mate with another she wolf. “Men must be men. The moon goddess created them this way” most of the she wolves would often say and to be honest I never cared. In fact, I had hoped that if unfortunately, I had to get married to the cro

-Bleu-Today started like any other day day for Bleu. He rose up before the sun graced the village with its presence to go and patrol the home and surroundings of he and Hazel’s home.He did not know why but he very much knew that those men that wore shiny apparel and carried those slim and ridiculous weapons may be back and this time, they might succeed in taking Hazel away from him. This was not some thing that he was willing to bargain with and even just entertaining the mere thought of it was more than enough to push him over the edge.Every morning and every evening before he returns home, he makes sure to do his daily patrols. He had made sure never to forget the scent that caught from those males that day but so far, he had not caught even a whiff of the scent. The o trio would have gone by very quickly if he turned in to his wolf and gave his wolf full control. However, his little mate warmed him against shifting in this village. Apparently, his wolf was way bigger than the ave

-Bleu-Bleu was at peace and he wished for any thing that time would stop in this exact moment. Hazel had king fallen asleep on his chest as she was exhausted from the time that they had just shared. He stared out of the little window that they had and it took every thing in him for him not to go let out a growl in anger. He did not know when he was doing it but he even went as far as to send a short prayer to the moon goddess herself for her to delay the rising of the sun hit of course nature took its course. The sun’s rising meant that as the male, he needed to go out to work and that meant leaving his beautiful mate, some thing that he hated doing more than any thing in this world. The sun was now high in the sky and now, he no longer had a reason to be here. From the distance he could hear that the hustle and bustle of the village had already began thanks to his sharp hearing. With a final squeeze and a kiss on Hazel’s head he let it a sigh as he carefully entangles himself from he

-Bleu-The more I am in this position, the more anxious I get. It is not too much for me to say that this she wolf disgusts me in every way. I look around hoping that some one would be able to come to my aid but to my greatest surprise, all that I was greeted with was the faces of males that honed nothing but envy and disdain.I do not know why this is the case and I do jot in any way find this female appealing in bay way. I feel her release more and more of her pheromones in an attempt to seduce me but it may be would have been a different case if she was well aware of the ca to that I was doing every thing that I possibly could and using every power that I had to control my wolf not to tear her in to pieces. The only she wolf that has the right and will ever have the right for as king as I live to act in such a manner with me is my Clematis.“I have never seen a male as fine as you in this village before” she says in a sickly voice and as time goes by, the more I am even closer to lo

-Baron Penin-I have never met the head of the guild in person and even though I am quite curious of who the person may be, a part of me clearly knows that I am not even entirely sure if truly I want to know. I have a feeling that I would definitely be surprised but there are times in life that ignorance is truly a gift and it may be better to kept in the dark at times. Now that I have read the contents of the letter, I know better than any one that the safest thing for me to do is to act according to his wishes as soon as possible. There is nothing that I will ever benefit from making such a powerful man angry. He could easily take all of this away from this with a blink of an eye and no one would even question it.I turn to my butler and he gives me a nod as well. It did prove useful to have him read the letter with me as well. “You do not need to say much sir for I will put out the notice in very corner of the village before the day ends.

-Baron Penin- When I first got full authority over Peon village, the next thing that I knew I needed more than any thing was a competent associate that I would be able to trust even with my very life. That is one lesson that I came to learn from my father.I needed a loyal servant that would be able to handle tasks just by reading my expressions 8’ certain situations and hence I was in no rush to hire some body till i met my butler. It took months and I had to do all of the work alone but I knew that it would be even harder for me in the long run if I were to get a butler that was either incompetent or a butler that could not be trusted. It was quite stressful for a while until the day that I found Jonathan. When I met him, I had decided to go round the village to see things for myself as I was yet to find a servant that I could trust with my eyes closed. I was giving the right policies but who is to say that the vassals were actually carrying out my ordered in the correct manner or

-Baron Penin-“If it truly as you say master then I do not think that it would be a bad idea for us to look in to the matter discreetly. You do not need to worry at all. I would personally see to it and make sure that not even a mouse would be able to trace is. Why would a powerful man like the head of the guild be looking for some one who just happens to have the features of the purest offspring that the imperial family can ever hope to produce. I believe that there is definitely some thing more to this matter your grace” Jonathan said and I let it a deep sigh.At this moment I was reminded of a popular saying that my father always told me while I was still growing up in our estate in the royal capital. “Never wish to know more than you can handle” father would always say and this causes me to let out yet another deep sigh.If I want to be very sincere with myself, I am very very curious about what is to me and I can no longer deny the feeling in my heart. The tension in the room was palpable, thick enough to cut with a knife. It was only logical for the council members to assume that the crown prince's clenched grip on his sword was fueled by a burning desire for vengeance against his father's assailant. They were caught in a precarious balance between self-preservation and the looming threat of Luna's wrath, knowing that any move they made could tip the scales one way or the other. As he advanced, each step seemed to reverberate with an icy resolve, a demeanor they had never witnessed before in the young prince. Their apprehension grew, their hearts pounding in anticipation of the impending confrontation. They braced themselves for the worst, their minds racing to fathom the depths of the tragedy that had befallen their kingdom. Yet, before they could fully grasp the gravity of the situation, the crown prince closed the distance to his fallen father, the alpha king, who lay in a grim pool of his own lifeblood. In that solemn moment, t

In the shadowed recesses of the council chamber, where once camaraderie flourished, now lingered the specter of betrayal. The nobles, who had dared to defy the very foundation of their kingdom, stood undeterred by the enormity of their transgression. This audacious act, had fate been kind, would have warranted immediate and severe retribution. Yet, an eerie calm settled upon them, a disconcerting absence of remorse. The lifeless form of the alpha king lay sprawled, a silent witness to the treachery that had unfolded. The air, heavy with the acrid scent of spilled blood, bore no trace of mourning. Instead, it pulsed with whispered conspiracies and urgent deliberations. They were not bound by the solemnity of the moment, nor did they grant the blood time to congeal before they began weaving their plans. In a far corner, the nobles huddled together, their opulent robes billowing around them, shielding them from the crimson testament to their rebellion. -the alpha king-The council chamber, bathed in an icy stillness that belied its usual warmth and bustle, bore witness to an unprecedented convergence. Every council member, typically punctuality's foe, had gathered with astonishing swiftness. As the alpha king, accustomed to the customary delays, this unexpected promptness spoke volumes.Today marked a turning point. The shackles of trepidation that once bound my decisions concerning the kingdom had been shattered. The room held its collective breath, hanging on my every word."We shall relinquish our forces to the Lunari forthwith," I proclaimed, and in that heartbeat, the chamber was ablaze with discord.Bedlam reigned. Councilors, once eloquent and composed, now hurled vehement objections into the air. It was a predictable response. These blue-blooded aristocrats, entrenched in their pride and privilege, preferred to forfeit their very existence than to entertain the notion of coexistence with the common folk. The news of Lunari's audacious act had rippled through the kingdom like wildfire, igniting tensions that had long smoldered beneath the surface. In the opulent chambers, adorned with tapestries that bore the stories of generations past, I stood, my gaze fixed upon the butler, his countenance etched with a solemnity that mirrored the gravity of the circumstances. His eyes, pools of unwavering loyalty, met mine, conveying a silent understanding that silence, in this moment, was not the answer. The tale unfurled before us like a dark tapestry woven with threads of betrayal and ambition. The Lunari, once a faction bound by honor and tradition, had chosen the path of conflict, their declaration of war echoing through the halls of power. The severed head of a noble, a sinister messag
