Natalie

Natalie was numb when she got home. She was shivering despite the heat of the summer, and her heart was merely beating but she didn’t care. Because she had no reason why it must beat.

All she could think of was Theodore’s betrayal.

‘He was an engaged man. He chased her still. He was forbidden, and yet he made her is dirty little secret. It was nothing but lust on his part and he made her believe that it was an arrangement, when he had deliberately thought everything. He was a cheater, and he can’t change. He told her specifically that they were supposed to be strangers, when he had everything on her. He had told her that they were not supposed to fall in love, but he did it himself. There were no rules in his world, and he didn’t abide by any. He was just a powerful man who acted at the whim of his mood, his desires, his lust, and he had Natalie trapped because he had fallen for her. Yet, he never learned to be honest with her. Even when she asked him that would he always be h
