Natalie

Natalie was afraid to even look at Theodore now. He had proved that his threats were not in vain. He was crazy indeed.

She couldn’t put away the picture of Michael, crying and begging for mercy, and Theodore’s cold eyes, conveying to her that his words were to be taken seriously. She wanted to hit him, fight him, and tell him that she didn’t love him, and whatever he was doing was only scaring her, but it looked as if he knew and yet he didn’t care. You can’t talk to a person who doesn’t want to listen. You can’t reason with a person who only knows how to order.

Theo was that person and Natalie had been unable to communicate anything until now.

Her day had been every eventful and it was only 4 o’clock. First the editor, then the banter with Theodore, that convo with Jonathan, and then talking to Theo’s family.

Maybe leaving with Jonathan had been a bad idea. Maybe she should have listened to Rufus.

Theodore’s family had been very angry when Jonathan had entered with her.
