Leo had put out a message to all bounty hunters that were lone wolf’s or solitaire witches. He made sure to relay the message to any who he thought may want to join us.

We had heard back from a couple that were coming for a visit. They would be going to the hotel in town that was reduced to only 2 pairs of wolves remaining. I was glad to see more people were willing to combine forces.

Lex had linked Ran and I this morning telling us the alliance with the Carolina’s was completed. He was heading to Virginia to meet Helga and her group. The had reached the 3 fae families.

The accepted her invitation instantly. A fae with her abilities hasn’t been seen in a thousand years. We had gathered enough information that lead us to believe her father was some type of fae royalty.

Randolph had received a messenger from the SW state border. The packs and covens from Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas had all relocated there to stand by. There was on

He flipped the edge of the blanket up over the bottle. Under the corner was a rubber toy. It didn’t seem overly functional. Lex and I had used toys before, but I didn’t even think about it with Randolph yet. He satisfied me completely on his own. He smiled reading my thoughts and chuckled to himself. I noticed his eyes were glowing slightly. I had never seen it faint like that before. I blinked a few times trying to see if my vision was fuzzy from the orgasm. “It’s because we are both here with you amica mae.” Randolph said. The glow of his eyes got a little brighter. “Yes, my love, I have missed you. Seeing you glowing after you cum is breathtaking.” He responded but his voice was slightly off. “Lex?” I said stunned. “How?” I followed. “We are exploring our bond further; we found a balance to join each other at the same time.” He explained ready for my questions. “It is hard to explain, but we can feel both bod

I opened my eyes and looked around my body. I was standing by a river; I had been here before but couldn’t place the memory. The trees were blowing in the angry winds.Using my affinity with air, I opened myself to feel the energy that was whirling. I grabbed my stomach as pain and despair filled me. I could see uncertainty in the future, but the truth trying to show itself.I relaxed my body and let the winds die down around me pushing their way back into the trees. I looked back towards the river to see Odin standing with his horn, waiting.“You took your time arriving.” He said flatly.“All-father, am I dreaming?” I responded slightly shocked.Odin wasn’t known for appearing to anyone. He mostly guarded celebrated fighting and drinking with the fallen Vikings. Goddess Luna was the only one to have appeared to me.“Yes and no daughter.”“Your mortal form is sleeping. We are in a

Leo sat on top of the mountain that ran parallel to the road leading to the Alpha’s house. He was providing overwatch for the group of newcomers to arrive safely. There have been rogue wolves around the territory line, we were not taking any chances. The first set of SUVs were rushing down the road. They were probably going slightly faster than the speed limit, but this area was perfect for an ambush. The 2 large moving trucks were boxing in 3 suburban SUVs. Another 2 SUVs in the back. We had set up a few extra patrols close to the boarder. The convoy was delayed when they blew a tire on a truck. Arriving after sundown was not part of the plan. “Everyone all good?” I checked in th

He swept me up bridal positioned before he began to glow blue. It was similar to the first night I saw it, but there were shades of violet blended in now. I felt his arms tense around me and his energy wash over me. My eyes stayed open locked on him. He looked amazing, I could feel his magic working through my body healing and energizing me from the inside out. I felt my heart start to pull towards him. I reached my lips to touch his, kissing him as his glow pulsed. I pulled back and he set me down gently. I looked over to Lex and he still held the second man that was with Joseph. I wasn’t sure which was in charge, but I was going to find out. “Take him to the holding cellar. No one in

Chapter 44 When Lex and I arrived back at the house Randolph was waiting in the Foyer. He looked at me dressed in Lex’s shirt and darted his eyes around glaring at any other male wolves in the area. We quietly followed him to our room. He closed the door after Lex and I walked in, Lex heading straight for the bathroom. I couldn’t read his expression. Randolph grabbed a blanket and handed it to me. As wolves we ran hot, but I never noticed I was shivering. “Lex, you better be coming back out here.” He said loudly, not dropping my gaze. &ldqu

We descended the staircase stopping on the landing. Both men looked perfect. They each wore a suit with tie. Randolph’s tie matched his eyes, the 3-triangle symbol at the bottom in matching crystals to my dress. Lex had the same design, but his tie matched his hazel eyes. We hadn’t gotten a ton of useful information from our new informant yet; I have been to busy to speak with him. I was frustrated trying to find the outlaws and my men promised to make tonight one to remember. Helga descended the top stairs meeting us on the landing. She hugged me before hugging and kissing each man on the cheek. Kilian stood at the bottom of the second set of stairs. He looked so proud and full of joy. I was shocked

Everyone was having a great time; the younger kids all went into the basement where they had a movie marathon starting. We provided far too much popcorn and snacks with pop. I giggled when I did it saying it would be the teenager’s problem tonight, not the parents. With all the stress around for security. I thought it was best to have all wolves under 18 safe in the house. Each teen that volunteered was paid for helping, those who refused were ordered. It was my fun way of teaching the kids to help on their own. Most did, one 15-year-old boy was less than thrilled. I checked on the kids and headed outside. I stopped in the panic room slipping my dress off and putting a robe on. I would shift tonight before Helga. I opened the door to exit and was pushed back in by Lex.

My brain began to overload. I never told Randolph about the goddess creating him as a gift. I had filled in Alexander one night, he promised that if Ran was going to learn about it, it would be from the goddess or myself.“I am so sorry I didn’t tell you before.” I started“You need to know. Goddess Luna… She…” I was trying to find the words, but I couldn’t force them out.“She created you, as a gift for me. To protect me, to love me… Are you sure you want to marry someone when you have no choice in your feelings?” I asked trying to be straight.I stood there ready for my heart to break. I know the goddess believes in free will. I am free to love or hate him as he is me. I wanted it to be his choice. I loved that man more than any other soul besides Alexander.“Princess…” He said using his first name for me

A few more days passed. Gunny and I finally began to lose hope and devise a plan to search for our missing group. I couldn’t think about what may have happened to them. I wanted to know they were okay. Randolph was a fierce warrior above everything else. It hadn’t been long enough since the last time I thought I may lose him. I needed to find him. No matter the cost. I expected Lex to fight me on leaving, to protest my partner. I always had Alexander by my side. Through the thousands of years, we had been together, we always had each other. When he agreed to stay behind to help develop our settlement, I was shocked. Not knowing the status of Randolph, Helga or the others was to much for both of us to bare. As Gunny and I sat near the fire a few days before the full moon, Freya came running

Waking this time was easier than the last. I was glad that I didn’t feel as restricted waking. I could see the bright light creeping from the open doorway. The curtain along side the bed I slept in was open. I slowly sat up making sure I didn’t move to fast. When I realized I was moving okay and there were no side effects from the tonic Lex gave me I began to move faster. I could hear giggling and kids playing around. My heart leapt, the thought of Freya and Ingrid being here. All the uncertainty in the world had my nerves on edge I just needed to know my family is safe. Sylvi sat with Mason on her lap next to Chase and Killian. Bjorn and Chase decided on using my late ex-husbands name when adopting the little boy. Bjorn felt it was important to ask Helga, Ingrid, and Freya’s permissi

After we were settled, I paced around the complex looking for any weak points. Lex had tried to convince me to get some rest, but I had no need for it. I wanted to make sure the children we brought here were safe. I needed to know when the rest of my pack would arrive, they would be too. “Astrid…” Lex’s voice full of sympathy came from behind me. “I don’t like your tone… Or your guilt.” I responded sensing it through the mate bond. “There was another attack. We lost a few more…” Lex began to explain but I raised my hand cutting him off. &ld

I woke disoriented. I wasn’t sure what was happening around me. I could tell I wasn’t in my bed. I kept my eyes closed trying to hear anything around me. My hearing was distorted, a faded ringing was the only sound in my head. I moved my body slightly careful not to draw attention to myself. I was unable to tell what I was laying on. The only comfort I had was the blanket loosely placed on me. I began to grow inpatient. I forced my eyes open ready for anything. Or so I thought. Looking around the dim-lit cabin I was infuriated. How did I get onto the plane without realizing I had been moved? Many questions began to flood my mind as my vision cleared. I was finally able to see Lex approaching where I laid across the two seats on the plane.

I sat naked, on the floor, in the center of my ritual blanket. The candlelight flickered softly against my skin. I was doing my best to relax and remain open calling to the gods. I wanted reassurance that we were making the right move. I had no need for more bloodshed. I let out my frustration as a sigh and a roll of my eyes. “I know I have been busy and closed off, but that was just because so much happened.” I said aloud. “I just need something, anything to tell me we are doing what is right!” I yelled. Nothing happened. After all the times the goddess had spoke though me, my moments in other worlds with them, nothing. I felt a sense of desertion, like they had abandoned me. We were not turning out like they wished, they finally had enough. A knock on the door startled me.

I paced around our bedroom that now had 2 cots placed in different corners, the couch made into a bed. We were accommodating everyone left into the one house that was severely damaged. Only 2 fae families survived other than Renard, Mary, and Edyth. Freya managed to save 10 children from 6-16 years old, 4 adult wolves, and Edyth in the building. Leo was amongst the deceased. Only 2 lone wolves survived. There were another 4 warriors that survived the fighting at the house. Our numbers had dropped below 50 with no response when trying to check in with anyone who was still on the road. We set up a schedule so everyone could rest. I was waiting for Randolph and Lex to return. “Mama.” Freya said opening the door. I nodded for her to enter. “There was a lot of death today.” She said

As we approached the house, we noticed a few people had gathered on the porch, everyone seemed badly wounded in one way or another. There was blood almost everywhere. Alexander strode past the porch checking things over as we went to shift in the garage. We shifted and instantly his arms were around me. He was holding me as if he would never let go. I could hardly breath; I tapped his side and he relaxed slightly. I took a deep breath feeling the oxygen fill my lungs. “Sorry. Are you okay?” He asked placing his hands on my face. “I don’t think I will know that for a while. I feel so much death. It feels different though. I don’t feel the need to fall apart. We need to do this.&rdquo
