Valentina felt warmth all over her face and she smiled as she remembered the events of last night. She now felt so close to Alexander; she felt absolutely complete and whole.

She opened her eyes and looked to her left. And there her Prince Charming was, still sleeping with his beautiful disheveled hair.

Valentina moved closer to him to laid her head on his chest as she stared at his peaceful face while he was still sleeping.

She shook him awake gently and his beautiful eye lids snapped open. Her heart immediately contracted because of the love she felt for this man in front of her.

"A beautiful morning to you, Prince Charming," she said cheerfully while smiling at him in a charming way.

She was delighted by Alexander's handsome face and he stared at her, giving her an intense look.

"I feel like a King today," he said while moving his arms to embrace her tightly and enveloping her in his arms.

Valentina smiled then she laid her head on his shoulder. "You are always going to be my

The Queen and Valentina decided to meet every Wednesday and Saturday for the next four weeks. Knowing that her wedding was in four weeks was nerve wracking for Valentina considering her family would be going home in three days time. She had talked to the Queen about it and she reassured Valentina that her family would be back to the palace about three days before the wedding. She also informed her of the intense wedding preparations that were being rushed in the span of a month. Valentina had never expected the Queen to be as soft and delicate as she displayed to her. She expected the stern women she had been presenting formally to everyone for the last few months. She guessed she had truly learned that looks could be deceiving from both Mother and son. She and the Queen had just finished their tea and they decided that they would meet back in the tea room again on Wednesday. Alexander was with her parents so she decided to go for a run since it had been a while she had done tha

Valentina felt warm and stiff as she slowly opened her eyes and she could catch the smell of him. It was dark and warm, and when she moved around she knew that she was in a bed. She was in his bed and she could also sense movement in the room. She looked to the right of her and there he was, sitting on a chair in the dark and watching her. Valentina could hear thunder and lightning outside, and she had always loved storms because they made her feel at peace in a way. "i had to wash the blood out of your hair," he said in a low and dark tone as he looked at the opposite wall. Valentina pulled her hand from under the blanket and touched her hair which was soft and still a little damp. Then she started to remember all the events that happened yesterday and it made her heart to ache again. She turned her head to the side and scrunched up her face to prevent the tears from spilling out of her eyes. He spoke again. "I had to calm your parents and brother down, it wasn't easy," Alexande

Valentina opened her dry eyes and felt the pain of her weak eye lids from all the crying she had done, and from the light coming in from the windows too. She could feel herself still wrapped up in Alexander's arms. She did not remember going to sleep last night but she remembered their conversation and everything that had happened. Valentina tried not to think about it too much or she would start crying which would annoy the hell out of her because she didn't like it when she cried. She was so sick of crying. She pushed away the thoughts and looked at Alexander. She couldn't imagine leaving him but she was going to have to. Deep down in her heart, it felt to her as if she was leaving home again. He was her home now and she was leaving it.Valentina tried to shake him awake but he didn't budge so she shook him harder to get his attention. She still decided to whisper because of the slight pain in her throat. "Alexander, get up and apologize to me," she said to him and the top half

Valentina looked down at her left hand, glancing briefly at her ring, then she turned her attention away from it and looked at the piece of paper in front of her. She had spent the rest of the day in her room packing and organizing some of her clothes. Then she had taken a shower after returning back to her room. She was kind of going to miss her bed during the visit back at her pack because she had really gotten used to its maximum comfortability. Valentina was writing a letter to Nora to apologize to her, and she didn't really know how to start it but it had been the task she had been at for the past half hour. She honestly wished it was an easy task to do but it was not. She began writing the letter and in hopes that it would give Nora some peace for a slight moment if not more. But she couldn't hope for much. She just had to do what she had to do. Alexander had not come to see her throughout the whole day and she was a bit glad for that. He was an annoying asshole, and she

It killed Alexander to let Valentina go like this but he just couldn't take the likeness of another attack at the Palace while she was here. He needed to protect her at all costs. She was his Queen, after all. Alexander turned his head toward Matt before he spoke. "Where is my father?" he asked in a stern voice. Matt answered him almost immediately. “He is expected to be in the Royal office, Your Majesty," he said, bowing slightly for Alexander. Alexander nodded his head in acknowledgment of what Matt just told him before he turned and headed towards his ever so lovely father's office. I think I might be picking up sarcasm from Valentina, Alexander thought as he chuckled slightly, pushing the main issue on his mind to the back of his mind for a little moment. The Royal office will soon be mine once I become King. Other people inherit things like jewelry and lands from their parents, whereas I inherit things like cold hearts and lack of emotions from mine, Alexander thought deeply

"Could he be the one attacking? Is your son the one attacking my mate?" Alexander asked the man who claimed to be his father. "I got a letter the day you met your mate. It was a threat to the royal family from him," King Henry said, but he showed no emotion at all which only succeeded in angering Alexander further. "What is his name?" he asked the King. "His name is Killian, and he is younger than you. Your mother is the only one who knows about him. Killian's mother died during child birth and I sent him away to be raised as an Alpha in another pack." "Great! This is so great!" Alexander exclaimed as he raised his hands up with pure sarcasm coating his tone. "The King of the whole werewolf kingdom, King Henry cheats on his mate and wife and has an illegitimate son only to neglect his legitimate one." His tone was laced with pure anger by now. Alexander was tired of feeling the aftermath of his parents mistakes. It was a waste of his time and it was also truly exhausting. Now I

This was so weird and Valentina was okay to admit that this place didn't feel like home anymore. Wherever Alexander was, was where it felt home and it was just like she had stepped back into some old and long forgotten life. She didn't even remember what it was like to breath before him. Right now they were staying in the pack's villa for long or short term visitors. lt was weird for Valentina to be seeing her old pack, and it was even more weird for her ro be there because she was looking at it with different eyes for the first time in her life. Valentina was staying in an old room that needed to be redecorated. Of course, the room was not like the one she had back home but at least, it had a bathroom attached so that she didn't have to share one with another person. The bed was quite small but Valentina had decided that it would do. Some of her things were placed on the floor next to a huge wooden dresser. She had refused to unpack her luggage because she knew that she wouldn't b

Valentina had sent multiple texts to Alexander and still, she hadn't gotten any response whatsoever from him. The pain in her head had multiplied and she could only think that something bad had happened to him since the Queen rushed her out of the grocery store saying that they had to get home as fast as they could. Right now the guards were getting some of their luggages on a plane because they had to get back to the royal palace immediately, and Valentina hadn't even informed her family, because as much as she loved them, she couldn't think of them right now. She could only think of Alexander and this stupid headache she had right now. The Queen had rushed Valentina out of the store so fast that she did not have time to pay for her snacks and sweets. Valentina had told the Queen that it was technically stealing and she had waved her off and said she was a royal. Then she had texted Alexander one more time and still there was no response from him. That was when she knew that she

It was an unassuming house, a three-story building, red brick with black shutters on a corner lot of the quiet street. Alex had parked two blocks away. Gareth and Matt took the back while Matilda and Alex approached from the street. Brown leaves were scattered on the lawn. Two maple trees and some miniature shrubs offered little in the way of concealment, so they stayed to one side of the building. "Hang back," Alex told Matilda."Yeah, right," she scoffed. Alex glanced at his mother and saw an annoying smirk. Yes! She would find this interesting, he thought dryly. Especially after what she had done earlier. Maltilda had helped them distract the demon wolves and even after then when Alex was on the verge of death. When he was torn between two critical decisions, Maltida had also been the one that rescued all the pack warriors. She had brought out their ice cannon and shot it at all the demon wolves, freezing them to death immediately. How she had done it so expertly and swift, he

Val woke up to a dark room. The sniffed around and the room smelt stange. Unfamiliar. Her head was banging and her throat was dry and scorching. Her whole body aches from having slept in the hard rugged ground. For some minutes, she could not remember what had happened and what she was doing in such a strange place. "Anyone there?" She called out as loud as she could as she blinked rapidly against the dark room. She tried to rack her brain to remember how she got. Wait a minute... she had gotten to the entrance of the witches kingdom, then she had heard a sound behind her, then she had turned to see some group of scary looking men, and then they had.. "Ohhh," she mouthed as her face contorted with horror. Yes! she had felt a very sharp and intense pain when they had hit her with something on her head. She did not even know what the thing was. It had happened too fast and she wasn't expecting it. Then she remembered something else, and this time, her breath caught hard in her throat.

By the time Val was done bathing, it was already noon. She was now feeling much better and stronger. She felt her muscles loosen and untie themselves in anticipation of a great journey. Pulling a blouse over her head, a smile spread across her face as she chortled quietly. Earlier today, it had been so funny when she had asked her mother about Sophie and her expression had changed. She had thought of the worst things that could have happened to her baby. But as it turned out, nothing had happened. Her mother had just decided to tease her a little, which had gone all wrong. She had been so vexed with her mom that she had demanded to be left alone for some times. But thank goodness, Sophie's condition had improved. Well technically, not really. The boils and rashes were still covering her skin, only that she had stopped her shrieking noise. The only thing she does when she feels the pain is to cry quietly. It was as if she had gotten used to it. Sophie was such a strong baby. As li

Roshan stood in front of his warriors, moving stealthily around and listening carefully for the slightest movement. Where could the Red Moon Pack bastards have gone? he wondered. He scanned the entire environment, he looked up at the sky, still he found not even a trace of them. He began stamping his feet on the ground to check if they had dug the earth up to cover themselves, but the ground was still as sturdy as ever. Then out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a foot track. He snorted contemptuously. Bastards been thinking they're smart, huh? He thought. He started tracing the track, moving carefully forward. Then he came to the end of the track. He gritted his teeth in anger. "Bastards!" he growled angrily. He started going from where he had first seen the track. All of a sudden, he stopped as if a thought had occured to him. He put a finger in his lips, signalling his pack members to be as quiet as they could be. Slowly, he raised his head up to stare up at the trees. "Stand

The demon wolves looked around to know where the sound was coming from. Even Alex was surprised. They could still hear the snapping of bones but they didn't know where it was coming from. Then there was a howl of pain followed by the ripping sound of clothes. Everyone turned in the direction of the sound. It was Kendra. She had shifted to her wolf form. Even the demon wolf that had been dragging her by her hair was surprised, he hadn't even noticed her slipping from his grasp and transforming. Without warning, Alex gave Kendra's daughter to one of the lower rank warriors. "Give the pup to her mother!" He instructed. "Alexander, you're making a hell of mistake!" the Alpha demon wolf said, revealing his slightly crooked fangs. He was glaring at Alex aggressively, and an intense murderous intention was evidently written on his face. "Bring it on, monster!" The Alpha demon wolf growled at him. He seemed not to like being called a monster. Good. Alex noted. "If you think anyone will b

Alex's wolf, Gary shook his body and his white furs bounced proudly on his back. "Mom, you're staying right here," he repeated. And was out of the office in the next moment as the office door banged shut. Once outside, Gary let out a howl drawing the attention of a demon wolf that had his back to him. The demon wolf turned and the only thing Alex could think about for a while was, what the fuck? What kind of a creature was this? he thought. In fact they shouldn't be called demon wolves at all, rather they should be called demon monster because what in goodness name was this? The demon wolf was twice in size as a normal werewolf, and he had a very ugly face. To Alex, the demon wolf that had just turned to look at him looked like shit. The face was that of a human, then he had very long fangs, longer than a regular werewolf's fangs and his claws were showing in his feet and hands. He also had two horns etched deep into two sides of his skull. He had the features of a human and wolf. I

"Alpha Alex, this is not about shutting up. This is more serious than you could ever think. Those people, they are demons, they spit out fire. They're..." "Just be quiet!" he ordered angrily. "Alex, I want to be quiet but..." "Will you wait a damn minute and let me process what you're trying to say. Let me fucking think!" Alex was gradually losing his cool. At any time, he could pounce on Gareth and beat up till he got his blood flowing in this office. His wolf was unleashing a blood sucking aura, and he was breathing so hard to calm himself down and think properly. Matilda could feel the murderous aura emanating from her son. She knew exactly what it meant, and she couldn't let that happen. The beast in him wanted blood, and he would get it whether by force or any other way. "Alex, let's just calm down and listen to what Gareth has to say," she told him pleadingly. Alex shot a hard glance, then his softened gradually and his breathing slowly came to normal. "Alright, Gareth. G

  • The Fearless Queen Luna    CHAPTER SEVENTY SIX - UNCERTAINTY AND MIXED FEELINGS

Val woke up alone on top of her bed, still dressed in her pyjamas, a comforter keeping her warm. It was nearly ten o'clock in the morning, and she had no idea where Alex was or where he had gone to. The real question here was did he even sleep on the bed with her? He'd obviously carried her to the bed. She just knew it, but the realization was both heartwarming and unnerving. She wondered if he'd slept at all. She was guessing not. He was probably still angry with her for what she had done yesterday. He was probably still thinking about how stubborn and strong headed she had been. Trying to go on a journey with Sophie alone, and without protection. And the part that would pain him the most was that she hadn't even listened to him at all. Would he hold it against her? Would he start giving her the silent treatment? She swung her legs off the bed and headed for the shower. She needed to redeem herself, She needed to know if he was still angry with her. She needed to know if he had

  • The Fearless Queen Luna    CHAPTER SEVENTY FIVE - A MOMENT FOR DISCUSSION

It was a cold and beautiful morning. Only that it wasn't that beautiful to Alex. He had just woken. Well, scratch that. He didn't even sleep at all. If only a wink for a few minutes could be called a sleep, then let's just say he had just woken up from that sleep. He was feeling restless. Every bone in his body seemed to be complaining. And he knew the reason for that. Something in his guts was telling him he had made a very terrible mistake by letting his wife and daughter go without anyone to protect them. He knew that Val was a little bit overconfident about her fighting skills and abilities as a warrior. But that might not be just enough to protect her and from the sorcery of those evil witches. He walked to the window, lifted the window blinds. A gentle breeze rustled in through and whipped past his face, laying its gentle cold hands on his face. He inhaled in the fresh air that strangely smelled of orange blossoms. He stood resting his hands on the frame, and stared across th
