“Thank you for telling me about your situation,” Ella said as they walked to the parking lot. Dinner had not turned out how she had expected, and she was feeling more conflicted than before.
“You are welcome. I’m sorry I kept it from you all this time,” he said.
“We only just started dating a few weeks ago so I understand your hesitation.” They got into the car and started driving away.
“Bryer had a doctor’s appointment today. I want to go home and find out how it went,” Eddie said. Ella nodded absent mindedly and Eddie thought that she was upset. “I promise we will spend the whole weekend together. We can do whatever you want then,” he said gently.
