I hope that Crystal won’t notice how my hands trembled when I took her in my arms. Just as before, her warm body calmed my mind and soul. It was as if she was my safe haven.

All these years, I had no idea what I was looking for nor what I was lacking. It was only when I held her in my arms again and she hugged me back that I realized – I missed her more than how much I lied to myself.

Our past was my mistake, but I won’t let it hinder me from seeking her forgiveness. Now that I was given a second chance, I wouldn’t carelessly throw it away in the dump.

“Where should we go next?” Crystal nibbled on her food and asked me. How cute.

“We will visit the others. I am so worried about them. It took us longer to leave the dark side than what we expected.”

“Alright.”

“But tonight,” a playful smile floated on my lips, “let’s have a good rest first.”
