Chapter 40

Elizabeth was discharged the same day that she was brought in the hospital since she passed out because she was pregnant and nothing else. But instead of going back to the office, Charles drove her back to her house.

She was just quiet while they were on their way because there were a lot of things that were running inside her head.

There were some changes in her plans but she was hoping that soon she would be having the victory in her hands.

"Thank you," she said when the car stopped in front of her grandmother's house. She immediately unbuckled her seatbelt and got off at Charles' car.

"Let me get you inside of the house," Charles suggested, which she didn't refuse.

She couldn't figure out what was running inside the man's head. Since he found out that she was pregnant with their child, he seemed to be so gentle to her and all he wanted to do was look after her.
