Her heart pounded wildly at the moment, but the flood had already swept them away.

The landslide from the mountaintop, coupled with heavy rain and an earthquake, was nothing short of a disaster.

When Penny regained consciousness, she heard a man's voice.

"Ms. Sullivan should be waking up soon."

"Is there anything wrong with her head?"

"No, just a concussion. She might experience brief dizziness in the first few days after waking up, but it's nothing serious."

"What about Caleb?"

"Mr. Fergerson is still in the intensive care unit for observation. If he can make it through today, he should be fine."

Hearing Caleb's name, Penny immediately became anxious.

Caleb was severely injured. He had wounds on his chest and head. He was even swept away in the landslide and floodwaters.

Was he really okay?
