Chapter 482 She Could Not Care Less, There Were Too Many Tears

Penny did not know how, but she got back to Dawn Haven Villa. Lying on the bed, her tears kept flowing, soaking the pillow beneath her head. Her body was slightly convulsing and trembling.

Her hand tightly gripped the bedsheets. She bit her lip hard, not letting any sobs escape.

Lucy knocked on the door.

“Ms. Sullivan, I’ve made some soup for you. You should have some.”

Lucy did not know what had happened. She only noticed that Penny’s complexion had been off for the past couple of days, as if she was sleep-deprived.

Still lying on the bed and clenching her teeth, Penny quickly composed herself upon hearing Lucy’s words.

“Aunt Lucy, I’m not hungry.”

Thinking that Penny was just in a bad mood, Lucy sighed.

“I’ll keep the soup warm for you. You can have it later if you feel like having a late-night snack.”

“Okay.”

Penny felt her throat hurt. She lay there for a while and then remembered the letter and the ring.

Carefully, she took out the box. She read the letter while crying.
