Caleb did not answer the phone, which felt like a slap in her face, but Penny did not care.

Instead, she drove to Fergerson Corporation.

It was seven in the evening, but the lights were still on at Fergerson Corporation.

When she reached the top floor, Sebastian was still there. He was somewhat surprised to see her come at night.

Penny smiled at him, saying, “I’m looking for Mr. Fergerson.”

“Mr. Fergerson has an overseas meeting tonight and just went into the conference room. It'll take about two hours.”

She had waited before, so she simply sat down.

Her mother had told her as a child to work hard and be independent.
