Zane put down the document, his face as white as a sheet. He turned his head to see someone standing not far away.

He reached for his cane to stand up.

However, his hands were shaking too violently, and he could not muster the strength.

Penny did not move either. Her dad was a person who could walk fine not too long ago but now found it challenging even with a cane.

Zane just looked at her, then slowly sat back down. He dejectedly set the cane aside.
