Divorced

Chapter One.

Diana's POV

I heard the loud footsteps right behind me. I didn't need to look back to know that it was my husband, Ryan. He had been acting really suspicious lately, and I didn't have the time to confront him.

I looked at him through the mirror, since he was right at my back. I couldn't tell if he was angry at me, or he just needed some time alone. There was something right in his hand while I wondered what was there

There was something I knew for sure, and that was me not starting the conversation.

"Sign it." He placed the envelope right on the desk that was at my front. I looked at him, while his hands was inside his waiting for me to open up the envelope. I could tell he was angry with me now!

The way he was positioned, and the way he face was. He was really angry with me.

That was so unlike of him. I opened the envelope slowly, while I brought out the paper that was right in it, with the first two heading catching my interest. "Divorce papers?" I whispered using my high hitched voice.

I stood up from my chair, and pushed it in. There was barely any space between the both of us.

"Why are you doing this? You can't just walk up here and tell me to sign this. We are married, and we barely have misunderstanding." I guess I must have heard the right thing about him. Was he really cheating on me just like the way it was in the rumours I heard?

"Explain this." He brought out his phone, while I heard the ping notification from my phone I was holding. The tears were starting to gather right in my eyes, hoping this would be some sort of pranks.

It looked real. I could see the pain in his eyes. I could see how much he was trying to hold some things backs. I opened my phone checking the picture he sent to me.

He had every right to call for a divorce, but he should seek the truth about it first. I wanted to tell him, but I couldn't bring up the courage to do so so I just decided to let go.

"This! I wanted to tell you about this. I was assaulted, I couldn't bring myself to tell you also. You can see signs of me struggling! Take a look at the pictures there." I sighed. It was a really dreadful night for me.

I placed the phone aside. I thought things would get better once he could try to understand things from my point of view, but I was really wrong.

"Don't touch me with those filthy hands. When did you start keeping secrets from me? You think I am going to believe those lies?" He chuckled slightly, with the slight hint of pain right in his voice.

"Not like you are entirely clean!." I snapped back. "I've also been hearing things that you have been doing."

"Oh! You are trying to come up with something else! You are trying to justify your actions, right? Nothing will ever bring the both of us back together." He backed off a little bit from me.

"No! You should try to listen to me. That is what couples are, we get to listen to each other. This was all set-up to break the two of us. They will keep on doing this. You don't have to prove them right." I tried holding his hand while I sniffed. He placed his hands back into his pocket like I was some of plague.

"I already signed them. You should do the same thing also." He walked right out of me leaving me alone in a state of despair and confusion. This wasn't happening to me, right?

Thinking about it just made the matter worse. I could feel the pain right in my chest.

I struggled to reach the desk where the divorce letter was, "No way!" I picked up the paper again reading all what was in it! This was all a dream, right?

The anger and pain build up in me making me transfer the aggression to the little paper that was in my hand. I ruffled it and threw it across the room.

I stormed out of my room running after him as fast as I could. If someone has seen me the way I was. They would have thought I ran mad since my physical condition was just like my mental condition that moment.

"Wait! Where do you think you are going to?" He was all packed up already, with his luggages getting prepared to leave. He already planned all of this? I shouted so loud from the Grand stairs which I was standing on, which made him stop whatever he was doing at the sound of my voice.

"Where do you think I'm going to? Leaving the house for you since I know you are not going to do the same thing."

I rushed down from the stairs.

"Don't you feel bad for trying to leave me? We love each other." I tried so hard not to let the tears out of my eyes, but my emotions betrayed me.

"Oh? Love you? I guess I loosed interest. Do you know what happens after getting married to you? My father promised he was going to give me few shares. He did that few weeks ago, and I don't think I should be with you anymore." He mentioned avoiding my gaze. He looked at everywhere else except from where I was staying.

"Look at me and tell me you never loved me! Please." I took a deep breath thinking he would look at me.

"Do you still love me then? Why can't you look at me?" My breath hitched. He then slowly looked at me, and pushed me making me fall unto the floor.

"I didn't cheat on you, and I will never cheat on you." I cried out loud as my eyes got blurry watching him vanished from my eyes. He had always waited for an opportunity like this, and this was the best time that he could get to use it well.

My eyes started getting blurry, and it was not from the tears. I felt so uncomfortable, and dizzy. I fell unto the floor, and tried standing up again then lost balance while my eyes welcomed the darkness.

******

I slowly open my eyes, looking around my surroundings. I was met with the harsh glare of fluorescent lights above me, and the beeping of machines nearby.

I was on a hospital bed, surrounded by sterile white walls and the antiseptic smell of disinfectant. My mind was foggy, and my thoughts were jumbled. I tried to remember how I got here, but my memories were hazy and unclear.

I glanced down at my body, seeing the IV tubes and wires attached to my arms and chest. I felt a sense of panic rising up, but I forced myself to take slow, deep breaths. I needed to stay calm and try to piece together what happened.

"You shouldn't struggle to stand up." I heard that familiar voice right in the room. It was Richardson.

I inhaled sharply, "What happened to me?"

"You fainted. The doctor is yet to let us know why you fainted." He informed me, and I just nodded. I remembered what happened before I fainted, and I was still finding it hard to believe he left just like that.

I feel like he was still going to come back. "I just want to sit up." I muttered under my breath, while he walked up to me and help me up sit up.

I saw a huge bandage that was tied around my leg, I must have injured my leg when I fell earlier.

The creaking sound of the door distracted the both of us from our discussion. It was the doctor who walked in. He had a smile on his face, and I found it suspicious. I frowned on the seeing the smile on his face

"After taking some tests, we found out that you are pregnant." The doctor informed me. No! He must be kidding, right?

"No! You should conduct the test again. You might be wrong somewhere." I raised my voice a little bit higher. The doctor squinted his eyes in confusion.

"I told you to take the test again! I can't be pregnant in a situation like this." My emotions were starting to take over me just like before. Richie geld on to me very tightly.

I laughed silently in disbelief finding it hard to believe. "Thank you doctor." He managed to say to the doctor.

"We will let you know if there is anything more." The doctor stated, and walked out of the room leaving me in a blank state. I was still lost and confused.

I felt the warm hand right on my shoulder gi

ving me some sort of reassurance.

"Marry me!" He said calmly jolting me out of my thoughts.
