30- Always Gonna Be Him As Well

LANA’S POV

“Oh my goodness! Did you say anything to offend him?” Dax asked as we watched Xavier’s car screech over the corner.

I lifted my eyes and shook my head. “No, I didn’t.”

“You were together, Lana.”

I remembered Xavier’s jacket over my shoulders and pulled it around me and headed towards Dax’s car. It was clear that tonight was not a night for me to spend the night alone. But I was grateful that they were both here to get me to safety, even though Xavier left angry. I couldn’t blame him though. It wasn’t my fault that I found myself in a contract marriage deal with his brother. I wouldn’t just have picked up everything where we left them and still respect my marriage contract with Dax.

“What?” My voice snapped as I turned around to face him.
