Turner sat there on the cold wet dungeon floor. His feet were shackled with silver and his hands were cuffed to the stones on the floor. His mate was tied down to a wooden table across the room in front of him. They had been held captive by Alpha Cullen for the past 2 months. Stripped naked and beaten daily they were near death. It was unusual for Cullen to allow his prisoners to live longer than a week. He had no justifiable reason to be torturing these two unfortunate wolves. They had not wronged him. He was a sick and twisted individual. He tortured merely for the sheer delight it brought him to cause harm to others. Cullen had decimated their pack. He had taken them by surprise when his murderous pack had attacked unprovoked in the middle of the night. Turner's Black Knight pack had been caught unaware and they were far outnumbered. It had been a slaughter fest. Cullen had loved every moment.

Cullen stood here now, his hands shaking in anticipation of the agony he was about to cause his prisoners. Giggling with a crazed look in his eyes he raised the cat of nine tails above his head and then brought it down upon the naked back of alpha Turner. His action was received with screams of pain that echoed off the walls of the dungeon. Cullen had had it specially made with shards of broken glass, small stones, and silver beads woven into the leather braids. As if that were not bad enough, he also had it dipped into a poisonous solution containing both silver particles and wolf'sbane. The concoction was guaranteed to maximize pain and slow the victims ability to heal their wounds. This insured the prolonging of their suffering. Cullen beat poor Turner over and over again. Every lashing ripped flesh from his bones. Each time the sadistic Alpha's face and body was splattered with the blood and small bits of flesh from Turner's back. Cullen laughed maniacally through it all with a crazed look in his eyes and an evil grin on his face. The vile creature beat his victim until he himself was exhausted and Alpha Turner could no longer cry out in pain.

Standing there with the brutal whip hanging at his side and breathing heavily Cullen rested briefly. Then turning his attention to the battered female across the way, his evil grin widened. Dropping the cat of nine tails to the floor he slowly walked over to where she lay on the table completely defenseless. He stalked towards her much the way a lion would stalk a helpless hobbled beast of burden. Then slowly he proceeded to circle the table looking up and down her broken body. He was admiring his handiwork. Just then Cullen turned back towards Alpha Turner with an evil grin.

" You there! Guard, help our guest enjoy the show. The poor fellow is all tuckered out. I fear he has had just too much fun for today. Hold his head up. Help him to not miss a single moment!" Cullen called out to the guard before turning his attention back to the woman on the table. He then stood there looking down at the defenseless Luna, trembling as he let down his claws and his canines. Raising his claws above his head and taking in a deep breath, like the calm before the storm. He stood perfectly still for a few moments before unleashing total hell upon her. Biting and clawing at her flesh as he circled the table. He beat her relentlessly with his fists. He continued to attack her in this grusome manner until she wasn't much more than a bloody pile of mush beneath him barely holding on to life. He then brought forth his canines again and he leaned forward placing his canines around her neck. Instantly he viciously tore her throat out. At the moment of her death poor Alpha Turner felt their bond sever and as he roared in agony Cullen howled with delight. Then with a sadistic smirk he walked across the room and grabbed Turner from the trembling guard by the hair. He lifted him up and looked him in the eye as he took his other hand and ripped out his still beating heart.

Alpha Cullen then dropped what was left of Alpha Turner onto the cold hard floor at his feet.. it was as if he were merely tossing down trash. Turning his attention to the still terrified guard he then demanded that the guard burn the bodies before he left the dungeon. Cullen is an evil creature that rules with fear. Having killed his own mate as soon as he had found her. So as to not have any weaknesses. He forced his men to do the same. He made them instead take multiple females to breed with. His men were for fighting. Their females only roles were that of slaves. Cooking, cleaning, and reproducing were there only purposes. He himself kept a harem of defeated Alphas daughters. Children in his pack stayed with there mothers until they were weaned. Then they were snatched away and trained to be vicious killers if they were male. Females were groomed to be obedient breeders. Love was a weakness. Family was a weakness. One's only loyalty was to their Alpha. Any show of any weakness resulted immediately in torture and death.

As he came up out of the dungeon, Alpha Cullen was greeted by his Beta Paul, who had news for him. "Alpha." Paul said as he bowed before his leader and waited for permission to speak.

"Yes. What is it?" The Alpha growled out as he continued walking towards his mansion. In this pack, he was the only one that lived in it along with a select few unfortunate favorites from his harem. So unlike other werewolf packs there was no "pack" house here.

"Sir, we have located the worthless lot that escaped our forces two months ago. We have learned that they fled to Red River territory and have sought asylum there with that pathetic Alpha they call Phelan Mchughes. We have also learned that their Alpha will be taking a small entourage with him across the continent to attend the birthday celebration for the daughter of Alpha Thaddeus Mixon. He is the leader of the Long Mountain Pack. The celebration will be held in three days time. Would you like me to ready the men for an attack on the Red River City?" After relaying the message he stood, head bowed and awaited his leaders orders. His Alpa had stopped walking at the mentioning of Alpha Phelan attending a birthday party. This was out of the norm for the powerful young Alpha. Cullen was intrigued by this information.

Cullen stood there deep in thought for a moment. "Hmmm.... Red River Pack you say? Our numbers are growing. But that pack still out numbers us nearly three to one. With our superior warriors that shouldn't be a problem. He's attending a party you say? Is this female something special to him?" He turned to look at his Beta, impatient for a response.

"Sir, the Red River Alpha is unmated. I do not know if he has a connection to the Long Mountain female or any female for that matter. But it is unusual that he would accept an invitation to a celebration in any females honor right now or that far away. It may be likely that she is of importance to him." His Beta answered him cautiously. Fearing for his life if his Alpha didn't like his response.

"I see. I am intrigued. Send spies to monitor the festivities at Long Mountain. Gather all need to know information on both packs and their leaders. We will formulate a plan of attack after we see what the nature of his trip really is. Yes. I believe the addition of Red River territory and fresh breeders will do nicely. However, we will not attack until young Phelan returns. He has no daughter to amuse me. I shall require a new trophy to entertain me in the dungeon. He will do nicely i think. Now leave me alone. I have an Alpha's daughter who needs to be informed of her parents untimely deaths. I want her to lick their blood from my body as I f@#k her brains out! Ha, ha! Ha, ha, ha!" Cullen laughed like a lunatic as he walked off towards his mansion in search of the poor girl he was going to ruin.

His Beta cringed as he watched him walk away. Then turned on his heels to carry out his leaders orders immediately. It was best not to chance upsetting the insane Alpha. He didn't dare risk ending up in the dungeon. As he rushed off in search of the men he would need to carry out these tasks he cursed his inability to just mind link them all. With their mentally ill Alpha the pack was broken. None were able to mind link in this pack. It was rumored that Alpha Cullen had gone so insane that his wolf had either retreated so far into the depths of his deranged mind that it was now held captive there or that he had some how managed to kill it off as well. No one was really certain. But no one had seen him fully shift in more than a decade. All that was known was that he was evil and twisted. He was to be feared. A cruel evil dictator that would destroy everything and everyone who stood in his way of obtaining his goals. His goals being to grow his pack at all costs and torture any one who stood in his way. Whatever he had in store for Phelan one could be sure that it wasn't going to be pleasant.

Cullen's Beta quickly gathered his men and gave them their Alpha's orders. Then set about making travel arrangements for their spies. Everything had to be perfect. No part of the plan could fail or there would definitely be hell to pay by all involved. Once plane tickets were purchased he returned to his office in order to further research the two packs of interest.

After spending an hour learning all that he could about the two packs history and as much as he could about what packs they held alliances with, he was startled from his research by the sound of gunfire. He ran to his window and looked out towards his Alphas mansion. He was appalled by what he saw. Alpha Cullen was running around in his birthday suit firing two pistols, presumably loaded with silver bullets. He was chasing several young females. The beta was unaware of whether the girls had tried to escape. Or if the twisted Alpha had decided to cut them loose in the yard for sport. Either was a valid possibility. But he didn't go out into the yard. He knew better. Whatever was going on if he showed his face in the yard it was just as likely that he would be shot as well. So instead he returned to his computer and his research. While outside screams continuously rang out and bullets could be heard ricocheting off of buildings everywhere.

It would be easier for Crescent Moon to ambush them on the rest of there travel. They had no way of knowing whether Cullen's spies were aware of them making this journey or not. They would be safer once the reached the Long Mounain pack's territory. After researching the the names on the guest list they had discovered that two of the Alphas that were invited to the celebration had territorial borders near what had been the Dark Moon territory. Phelan was eager to discuss the attack on Dark Moon with them. He thought that it would be an opportune time to also start negotiating an alliance with them. Phelan had phoned ahead the day before and discussed the matter with Alpha Mixon. The two of them had arranged an Alphas meeting for the night of his arrival. When everyone was seated Alpha Mixon's Beta walked around the room closing all the doors for privacy. At the last door he turned and nodded to his Alpha and left the room. With the doors closed Alpha Mixon cleared his throat signaling the start of the meeting. Immediately all of the men fell silent in anticipation of learning what the private meeting had been called for. Most figured by now that there was more to this gathering than just smoking cigars and drinking brandy. Mixon leaned forward and looked at each of the men sitting around him before speaking. "First of all I want to thank each and everyone of you for attending this meeting and for accepting without quest

The Alphas discussed what Phelan had told them in great detail over the next couple of hours. They all agreed that it was in fact a mutual problem that would at some point in time most definitely affect them all. They had a common enemy and would all benefit by forming an alliance to stand against the impending evil. Every pack represented in the meeting would immediately start protocols to protect and defend their individual territories. They agreed as a whole to begin drawing up the necessary paper work on the following Monday to form a Continental Alliance of Packs. Putting aside their differences for the greater good was going to be the only way to come together as one unit in order conquer the issue at hand. They would each then set up meetings with their individual alliances to discuss the matter in an attempt to get every pack in the country involved within the next few weeks. After that they would schedule a meeting of all Alphas in the Red River Pack territory, as they were th

Lobo had been incredibly restless all morning. Phelan decided that a run to clear his head and calm his wolf was necessary. He realized that missing the scheduled brunch would be frowned upon by his hosts. And that it could be detrimental to his proposed alliance with all of the Alphas. However, he also couldn't risk attending the brunch with a crazed wolf. That definitely could ruin all hope of an alliance if Lobo lost all control. Phelan was hoping that a quick run would rein Lobo in. Lobo wasn't usually impulsive. Phelan and Lobo both were known for being level headed creatures able to contain themselves until they chose not to. Phelan couldn't remember any other time in his life that he doubted his ability to control his wolf. These feelings of inability were new to him. He didn't like the way he felt or the way Lobo was acting. He felt like he was on the verge of going feral. The crazy thing was that he wasn't really sure why? He knew that he had to find the auburn haired angel wi

She then neatly folded her dress and sat it on the ground at her feet. Sage was dancing happily in her head, excited to come out and meet her mate. After transforming, Wren instructed Sage to carry her dress, not wanting to reach their destination and being exposed. Sage picked up the dress and pranced happily back over to where Lobo stood waiting with a pair of shorts in his mouth. The two wolves sized each other up and sniffed each other happily wagging their tails. Then Sage snuffed at him and bowed down in a playful stance. Lobo returned the gesture before racing away into the woods. As the two yipped and chased each other faster and faster the fo

Luna Freya kissed her daughter's temple gingerly before walking over and picking up two small jewelry boxes. Turning back to her daughter she smiled and explained. "This box here contains a gift from your father and I. And this box here is a gift from your father's mother. Your grandmother wasn't able to come tonight. She isn't well. I know you love her dearly. The two of you have always been so close. Perhaps very soon you can make arrangements to go visit her. She had this delivered for you, I think you should wear it tonight in her honor." Freya then opened the smaller ring box and held it up for Wren to see. It was a beautiful white gold ring with an infinity symbol. On it were set a small citrine stone and an amber tiger's eye. Wren loved it immediately! The stone's reminded her of the Autumn which brought memories of her grandmother to her mind. The love of this time of year and it's colors was something that Wren and her grandmother shared. They had always shared a special bond.

Whoever they were, they would pay for their insolence. However, Phelan had forbid any other wolves entry to the penthouse. He didn't want to risk contaminating the scene. It irritated him that it was taking his men so long to deduce what had happened. It seemed like forever that Wren had been taken. Phelan knew that the longer it took for them to find any clues the more likely it would be that they may not find anything at all. This infuriated him. His wolf Lobo was fighting to come forward.
