I followed Mary down the hall, up a flight of stairs, down another smaller hallway, reaching a large thick wooden door with runes carved into it. I looked at the markings of protection and marveled, it was beautiful. I traced my hand over the protection symbol feeling the energy it possessed.
“If you will continue to follow me Miss. Prince Theo was very… inclusive when it came to your protection, now that you are here.” Mary’s voice hinting slight deception.
“You mean while I am here. My stay will be brief, I assure you. I have no intentions on staying on an island full of vampires any longer than I need to.” I declared.
