The chamber of Aldous's second prince was dark and quiet, even though the night was still young. Having no improvement since the accident with Judas happened, Chester was still lying unconscious on the bed. His face was getting paler, so were his lips. His body remained still, right where Alessa and Rosalina had left him, never moving even a single inch since that night when he was tucked in.

However, even when it was only for a few seconds, his fingers did show a tiny action. And that wasn't the only part of his anatomy that moved.

As his fingers moved, his eyelashes fluttered as if he was about to open his eyes. Sadly, that wasn't the case. The eyelashes only moved subconsciously to the movement of the tears that were streaming down the pale face, bidding goodbye to the brotherly connection between the Wangs brothers that suddenly got lost into a bottomless

Inside a small room where a one-way mirror replaced a window sat Sean with his shoulders slump in exhaustion. His hands were handcuffed to the surface of the cold table. For the entire time, he kept staring down and fidgeting with his fingers without looking up at the interrogator. The interrogation was already conducted half an hour ago, and Sean already gave his confession. However, another person appeared not long after, preparing to repeat the same thing all over again. It confused him somehow, yet he neither had the curiosity nor strength to bother asking."Mr. Sean, are you sure you won't be needing a lawyer?" asked a man in wavy brown hairs, oblong face-shaped, and stubble beard along his jawline. His eyes, though small, depicted a blue color similar to that of the ocean. He was dressed in a neat dark grey suit, and red tie perfectly ironed, leaving no single crease on the fabric. "Even though it was a self-defense case, a man's lif

"You what?" Karras's polite manner dissipated after hearing that his king was injured. "How could you hurt your own husband just because he wanted a night with you?" His feet subconsciously began to move, bringing his body forward to where Rosalina was. The matter of status was absent from his mind."Stop right there." Aiken unsheathed his sword and landed it on Karras's shoulder from behind, making sure the sharp edge was touching the side of his neck but not cutting.Garry flicked his hands to produce the grey magic lights and moved closer to Rosalina in the means of protection. As for Alessa, even though she neither unsheathed a sword nor conjured up his magic, she was standing on full alert. She was ready to protect Aldous's youngest princess if things were getting out of hand.Glaring at Aiken from the corner of his eyes, Karras turned back to Rosalina. This time, he calmed himself down before asking. "Princess Rosali

Garry stepped out of his place and headed to where Rosalinda was. He grasped her shoulder and turned the small frame to face him. "Did you realize what you just said?"His penetrating voice and stare sent goosebumps all over Rosalina's body. Not only that, he was shaking her so hard that she had to close her eyes to stop the dizziness from consuming her."Garry, please, calm down. You're hurting the princess," said Alessa, appearing right by the two lovers' side instantly with no footsteps heard. She placed a hand

Inside a room where almost everything was white一a white canopy, curtain, and sheet, Rosalina stood behind a four-folded white screen with cherry blossoms drawing a river when a knock came from the door. Stepping out, she hovered her hand and opened the door with her magical white light to reveal a smiling Alessa and a frowning Garry on the other side."Princess Rosalina, I have brought Garry upon your request. However, he was so stubborn in coming here, so I have to use my magic to bind him." She shoved Garry inside, making the latter stagger on his feet. "Forgive me for being rough, general Garry. But you were too stubborn."Alessa gave Garry her signature smile, despite the fact that the latter glared at her with eyes that could make spitfire. If a look could kill, then Alessa would have been wounded in thousands of places already.

Attaching their moist and swollen lips on each other once more, he leaned down as he bent his elbows. He lowered his build body yet still ensured that his weight wasn't crushing down on his beloved princess. This new position made their kissing more intense and earned another sensual feeling for both of them as their lower parts intimately greet each other. Garry's tongue didn't seem to mind its attitude to his guest at all because he kept increasing the pace of his actions until Rosalina's mouth went numb that she couldn't feel the surrounding area anymore. A trail of saliva spilled through the right corner and down on her chin. She tilted her head to that side, hoping to search for the air her lungs were missing. Sadly, her hope wasn't fulfilled, for Garry also moved his head along, capturing her lips without letting them detach. Rosalina's lungs screamed out at the lack of oxyg

She planned to depart for the quest right after Rosalina left with the people of Baltras. The matter could not be delayed any longer. It was better to get it done as fast as possible. Holding onto the golden hair ornament given by Elfreda, she harked back to their conversation last night. "You'll have to undergo three tests before reaching the mountain. The sun was blazing hot on the outside, dehydrating people that walked on the street, making them imagine seeing steams coming off the cobblestone pavement. Nevertheless, the hotness and steam were literally happening inside a small apartment, for Sean felt like he really saw smoke rising from Oswin's head as he glared at the person in front of him with eyes as sharp as a blade. "You're saying you don't have anything to say?" asked Oswin. Each word was enunciated clearly as if he couldn't believe what he had heard. "Of course. What else do I have to say?" Benji answered fearlessly with a mocking face. It was hard to blame Benji for his sheer dumb courage because he hadn't witnessed the power of the elf king yet. When he was taken out of the hospital, he was unconscious.

"What do you mean?" Anderson widening his eyes in shock. "He said he could. He promised to take my family to Aldous and made us immortal. He already took my sister there." "Sister?" Oswin asked with a frown. The image of the mortal woman he had accidentally killed flashed before his eyes. It couldn't be just a mere coincidence that Anderson and that woman were somewhat familiar. Radiating a golden light from his right hand, Oswin used it to draw a rectangular box in the air, which subsequently projected a picture of someone inside. "Is she the one?" "Yes. That's Elena. King Father already took her to his kingdom and made her immortal. She is now living in luxury with her immortality, isn't she?" asked Anderson with a glint of hope and excitement in his eyes. Things weren't sure whether the elf king was too intimidating or the witnesses felt threatened. There were no words spoken in the whole two minutes. And it irritated to the point that his body began glowing off a golden light, causing the kneeling humans before him to tremble in fear. "Why don't you speak? Are you deaf? I order you to speak!" He raised his voice and sat bolt upright on the couch, eyes shooting a deadly glare. "Oswin..." Sean drawled as he came to join his lover on the left side, brushing their shoulders together. Breathing his favorite scent in heavily that sounded like a sniff, Sean replied, "Yeah. A heavenly dream plus a beautiful reality. Your presence and scent give me a sense of security." "Am I?" Genevie nodded. "Yes. The trial began that day." "That explains how l lose my power. But why did this memory get erased?" "I am not sure, Oswin. Maybe this trial wants you to learn about humanity through love and not fear. If you remember this accident, even though you won't hurt a mortal, it was only because of the elf's weakness. In short, it was more like an obligation. But if you don't remember, every action that you forgive a mortal will be purely based on your heart. I think this must be it." "This could

Aldous: The Day of The Accident It was one foggiest day Aldous had ever seen. Armed with a sword, a bow, and arrows, Oswin rode on the back of his pitched-black horse and ventured alone into the forest, searching for a rare white deer that only showed itself once a millennium. The creature showed itself at the wrong time, arousing curiosity within him. Known for its lightning-fast speed, it took only a few gallops before the elf king and his horse passed all the guards behind. When they reached the forest, the white deer was out of sight, leaving behind only the paw prints. "Where did it go?" He murmured, looking around for the white thing that should be easily spotted from the darkness. Unfortunately, he couldn't.

Yesternight past midnight: downtown Oakland's mortuary: The corpse of the elf king was left inside the morgue's drawer, unattended and naked. As the hour of death was less than twenty-four hours, no one cared to embalm the body, for they believed the freezer alone should be enough to slow down the decaying until the working time tomorrow. The mortuary was old and small except for the dim bulb on the outside hall. The room and the entire building overlapped with the night's darkness that even the security had to use a flashlight to see his way better. "The lighting needed fixing. This building, too. Who knows when this morgue is going to crumble down? It seems older than my ancestor." The security guard murmured as he patrolled the silent hall.
