Drake
It is Friday, and we still haven’t been able to find Ty. I just about lost it when we came down and couldn’t find her. I knew our little mate was special but didn’t realize how special. I was shocked when dad told us what kind of dragon she was. She doesn’t look like what the books describe a black opal dragon to look like. He did explain that it is because of her parents and their heritage. I think the fact she doesn’t look like what is described has helped her. I think something or someone has also helped her stay hidden this long.
“Killian says that he hasn’t seen her but that he is positive that she is still in his class. He says there is this kid that sits in the front corner that never removes the hood on their hoodie. He thinks that this is her.” Dray explains.
“That would make sense as to why we can smell her but we are not even able to get a visual on her. She is keeping herself hidden.” I add.
I rub my face with my hand. This week has been hell. Both Dray and I have hardly slept, and not knowing where Ty is staying has our dragons on edge. Chelsea started running her mouth yesterday, and Dray almost snapped her neck. I know someone knows where she is staying, and I need to find this person. Silas saw a car pick her up the day she left, but he couldn’t see who was driving it. I had thought about checking Valanya’s apartment, but I knew she wouldn’t go back there. That would be the first place we would look; I knew she knew that. Our little mate is smart. She had to be to avoid getting caught this long. I am still pissed that he wants her. He is not going to touch her if Dray and I have anything to do about it. Dad called Travian and told him what had happened. He also knew her parents and would be here today to help look for her. He wanted to send a few of his trackers out searching for her, but mom told him no. She said that would scare her more and might cause her to run. I know mom meant that it might cause her to leave town. Dray and I were both hurt that she would want to run from us, but then our mom explained that she hadn’t really been able to trust anyone but her parents.
“She has never had anyone that she could trust.” Dazriel states.
“I know but we are her mates,” Dray says.
“Remember though that we could easily be the type to use her as well. She is protecting herself. Mom and dad might be friends of her parents but she still doesn't know who she can truly trust.” I point out.
Dray agrees, and I see him staring at something. I look and see her friend Reyna across the hall at her locker. I know Ty’s locker is beside her, which is why we long wait here. We are trying to catch her so we can talk to her, but we always miss her. We walk over to Reyna and stand behind her. I can see her tense up as she turns around. This makes me very suspicious that she knows something.
“Reyna, you by chance wouldn’t know where Ty is at?” I asked.
“Sorry Alpha’s but I haven’t seen her today. She told me this morning that she wasn’t feeling good.” Reyna answers.
I can tell that she is telling the truth to an extent. I think she knows where Ty is, but she is telling us that she is not at school today. I am instantly worried as to why she isn’t at school. I know that neither Dray nor I have slept well this whole week. We both have felt horrible being away from her. I bet she is feeling the same way. The bond makes you want to be with your mate. Fighting the bond causes all sorts of pain and makes the mates suffer.
“We have to find her,” I tell Dray.
“We will even if we have to tear this town apart,” Dray growls.
Silas, Killian, and Dazriel tell us that they will help us find her. I know Dazriel is worried about her. Ty has been texting her, but she refuses to talk to Dazriel about us and what is going on. Killian has been checking the local MMA gyms and found out that she works out at one of them, but they haven’t seen her in a couple of days. I head to class, but I can barely focus at this point. Thankfully it is my last class; then I can go home and see if dad or Travian have found out anything regarding Ty.
“I am pretty sure I smelled Ty’s scent on Reyna during class.” Dray states.
“I knew she was hiding her,” I comment.
We wait for Reyna by her locker, but she never shows up. Damn it, I think as we walk out to our car. We have both tried calling and texting, but she won’t answer them. I know she is getting them. I saw mom’s car out in the driveway as I pulled in. This in itself is strange. Mom hates to drive, so we both know that something is up. The two of us climb out and walk into the house. I can hear mom talking to someone in the living room. When I see who it is, I stop dead in my tracks. There stands Ty, and she looks exhausted. Mom turns around to see us. I hear someone behind us, and I look over my shoulder to see Dad and Travian standing there, staring at Ty as well.
“Before any of you get mad let her explain why she acted the way she did.” Mom states.
“Why’d you leave?” Dad asked.
“I have already gotten my parents killed. I don’t want to be responsible for any of you getting hurt or worse. I don’t need any more guilt on my shoulders. I am a danger to anyone who is around me. I mean I already brought danger to Valanya and I feel terrible about that.” Ty cries.
“Ty, none of this is your fault. Your parents knew you would be special from the moment your mother found out she was pregnant. While it is true that they didn’t expect you to be a black opal dragon they knew what this meant.” Dad tells her.
“I do have one question though. When those guys broke into the apartment they said that it didn’t look like he was there. Who were they talking about.?” She asked.
I see mom smile, and I know she has the answer to this. Mom explains that she was present the night Ty was born, as was her uncle, a doctor. Mom says that the three of them knew exactly what kind of dragon she was as soon as she was born, and they saw the mark.
“My uncle created two birth certificates for you. One has your parent’s names on it and you are listed as a male child with the name Tye. On the other official birth certificate, your parents used their full names, including their dragon names, and you are listed as a female child with the name Tylia. We did that so if anyone was to find out about you that they would look for a boy and not a girl.” Mom explained.
“That was fucking brilliant, but if the books are true a male black opal dragon never survives more than a week after birth.” Travian says.
"This is true but all that we know is from books. No one has ever seen a male black opal dragon so no one can say for sure if that is true or not." Mom points out.
Travian introduces himself, and Ty’s eyes get huge. I don’t think she was expecting to meet the king. She tries to be all formal, but he tells her that she is family and that she can call him Travian. I still can’t believe that her mother and ours came up with an idea like that. Travian explains that she is under the protection of his kingdom and that she is safe here. Dad tells her that she is part of this family now since she is our mate. Ty still hasn’t looked at us and says that she wants to take a shower to refresh herself.
“How and where did you find her?” I asked.
“I found the car that picked her up. It was Reyna’s mother’s car.” Mom says.
“I knew Reyna knew something,” Dray grumbles.
Mom tells us not to be mad at Reyna because she was helping her friend. I honestly don’t care as long as my little gem is here now. We walk up the stairs to our room, but she is not there, and neither is her stuff. We walk back out into the hallway, and I catch her scent coming from the room across from ours. I turn the knob, and it opens. I can hear the shower running, so we take a seat. I am sitting on the bed while Dray sits on the couch across from me. She is shocked to see us waiting for her when she walks out of the bathroom.
Ty I was not expecting anyone to be sitting on the bed when I walked out of the bathroom. I decided a nice hot shower would calm me down after everything that had happened earlier today. I was not expecting their mother to show up where I was staying. I was glad to see her, but I am still hesitant to stay here. One of the omegas showed me to my room. I knew she was taking me to the twin’s room, but I asked about the room across the hall. She opened the door, and I thanked her. I am sure she knew that I was their mate, but I am not sure where I stand any longer. I had heard all the whispers around school about them finding their mate. Of course, Chelsea told everyone that it was her, but I knew the truth. “Little jewel, why are you in this room?” Dray asked. “I figured after everything that has happened it would be better for me to have my own room,” I say. I am looking everywhere but at them. I have a feeling they are done with me. I mean, they are my mates, and I kee
Dray Ty was not in the room when we came out of the bathroom. We looked at each other and dressed quickly. We opened the door, and I could still smell her sweet scent heading down towards the kitchen. I was glad that she didn’t fight us last night when we insisted that she sleep in our room. I could tell she wasn’t comfortable being in our room, but she let me carry her into the room. Drake had placed her bags in the closet. There was already a spot in our massive closet cleared out for her. I could tell just by what she had brought with her that we were going to have to take her shopping. “Sounds like she is getting comfortable around mom.” Drake comments. “Looks like it too,” I said. Ty was there in the kitchen helping mom with breakfast. It looked like she had been here for years instead of one day. I couldn’t help but smile at the two of them. I felt a presence behind us and turned to see dad and Travian there. Dad had the sappiest smile on his face. I saw Ty stop
Drazian “Have they found him yet?” I asked. “No, I am not sure we are looking for the right person,” Freeze says. Freeze is my beta, and Solar, my gamma, is in my office with me. I have been looking for that child since it was born. We had heard that a rare black opal dragon had been born. I didn’t believe it when I first heard the rumours, but a cousin of mine had seen the child and the mark that the child bears. We were surprised to learn that the child was male. From what I understood, every black opal dragon previously born was a female. I sent out a few of my guys to track down and watch the family confirm the rumours. It took them a few weeks, but they did confirm the child was alive, and one of them even saw the mark. When he described what the child looked like, I was surprised. His description and what is written in the books were similar but different. “What do you mean?” I asked. “The tracker that came back told me that the child that they saw running from th
Travian I was surprised when Ty said that it had been a while since she last shifted. Her reason for not shifting was justified, but still keeping your dragon contained that long is not good. I was again surprised when she said that her dragon, whose name is Gemma, had agreed that it was too risky for Ty to shift. I couldn’t help but think that she was more than just a rare black opal dragon. Something about her made me think she was more special than we thought. I knew I needed to ask Halestorm and see what he thought. We won’t be able to confirm my suspicions until she shifts into her dragon. “Ok, what are you thinking?” Grayston asked. I looked at him and sighed. Then I looked at his boys. When Grayston said that Elysia was having true twins, I was shocked. I knew I was not the only one. It is not uncommon for our women to have multiples but normally, they develop separately. True identical twins are rare for dragons to have. This is also why Elysia could not have mo
Drake “So now what do we do?” Dray asked. “Honestly I have no idea,” I answered. After Travian had dropped the bomb on us about Ty, we had all been quiet. Killian and Silas were just as surprised as we were. If what Travian says is true, then Ty is more precious than I even imagined. This is why she kept running because she knew that everyone would want her. “Do you think Ty has any idea that she could be this rare dragon?” Silas asked. “No, I know for a fact that she knew she was a black opal dragon, but I don’t think she has any idea about this,” I answer. I look over at Dray, and I can see him deep in thought about all of this. This hit both of us out of the blue. This possibility hadn’t even crossed my mind because this type of dragon was not even mentioned in school when we learned about the different dragons. It was mentioned that they could exist if they were, but that was it. “You two look like you're trying to decide if you even want her to be your mate now
Ty We have been at the castle for two days now, and all I can say is, wow. This palace is huge. I have never seen a place this big, but a castle would be big. They gave the twin and me a large room. I was initially super shy and nervous about sharing a room with them, but it doesn’t bother me now. They have been so patient with me. They're letting me take the lead as far as our mating goes made my heart swell. We haven’t done a whole lot besides some very heavy make-out sessions. Damn, those boys can kiss. I swear, every time they touch me, it’s like little bolts of electricity run all over my body. I did ask their mother about this, and she said that’s how it feels when a mate touches you. I guess it helps you realize they are your mate since that is the only person who should make you feel that way. “Little gem you can calm down,” Drake says. We are all walking towards where Travian says it will be safe for me to shift. I feel like they know something that they aren’t
Travian Damn, Ty’s dragon is stunning. I never thought that I would see a black opal dragon in my lifetime, not to mention a black crystalline opal dragon. As soon as she shifted, I knew my suspicion was right. Her scales would change to that colour whenever she would get near the others. The other amazing thing was that she didn’t need to remove her clothes when she shifted. She is the first dragon that I know of that can do this. “You knew what she was and you didn’t tell us,” Elyisa screamed. “I was not positive but I had my suspicions,” I told her. Salaria and Elysia are giving me death glares. They are pissed because I didn’t tell them that I suspected that Ty was a mythical black crystalline opal dragon. I just ignore the two drama queens in the room and focus on the more important person. Ty sits on the couch with Drake and Dray on each side of her. They are sitting there like two bodyguards. It makes me glad to see that they are already protective of her. “Umm
Dray Well, so far, this week has been full of surprises. Travian’s suspicions about my little jewel’s dragon were right. Not to mention that our dear sister found her mate. That thrilled mom and dad. I am pretty sure mom and Salaria are already planning the wedding. Drake and I had just walked into the room. I shut the door and pretty much ran into Drake. I was about to say something when I saw what stopped him in his tracks. Ty had just walked out of the bathroom and was wrapped in a fluffy black towel. All three of us just stood there staring at each other. I walked over to her and ran my finger along her cheek. Her skin was still warm from the shower. My other hand was at the bottom of the towel, working its way up the outside of her thigh. “Don’t,” Ty says. I had placed my hand on the towel and started to pull, but her hold tightened. I looked at her, but she was looking down. I leaned in and ran the tip of my nose along her neck. Fuck she smells so damn good.
Ty I can’t help but laugh as I watch Dray and Drake chase our kids around the backyard. Kytalina is now three years old and growing like a week. She still has my eyes, but her hair gets darker and curlier the older she gets. The twins just turned two years old a month ago. Yes, that’s right, twins. That surprised all of us. We weren’t expecting twins since we only saw one child every time I went for an ultrasound. I had to have a c-section since they refused to turn into the right position to be born naturally. I thought Dray and Drake were going to faint when the doctor pulled the second baby out of me. I knew there was something different about that pregnancy, but I couldn’t for the life of me tell you what was different. We know now what the difference is. Dray and Drake got their wish, and we now have two boys. They inherited their father's eyes. One has liquid gold, and the other has liquid silver. Their hair colour is a mix of mine and their father's. They are bot
DrakeI can’t believe we are celebrating Kytalina's first birthday. I swear we just brought her home from the hospital yesterday. She has grown so much in this last year. Silas and Elyani’s egg hatched, and it was a boy. He looks like Silas only with Elyani’s eyes. He follows my little angel around everywhere she goes. Ty and Elyani think that they are mates. Dray and I weren’t thrilled when we heard them talking about it. I don’t want to think of my little angel with any boy, but if I had to choose a boy for her, Mason would be a good one. Reyna is due in a month. Killian told Dray and me that Reyna was on birth control because they wanted to enjoy each other for a while before having kids. I understand that.“Daddy.” Lina squeals.
DrayI never thought this day would come. It has been six months since all that shit went down. I am fucking thankful it is over. I look down when the little girl in my arms starts wiggling around as she lets out a whimper. I am sure I have to sappiest smile on my face, but I don’t give a fuck. None of us realised Ty was pregnant when all that shit went down. Drake and I never noticed a change in her scent. She seemed fine, but I caught her vomiting one day. She thought that she was something that pissed off her stomach, which was a valid thought until she kept vomiting for a week. Drake and I got fed up and worried, so we drug her ass to the doctor, who confirmed that my little jewel was pregnant. Since gemstone dragons birth to live young, we knew from our first ultrasound that we were having a girl. I know Drake and I were freaked o
It has been 24 hours since everything happened. The girls were taken to the hospital to make sure they were ok. None of them had any injuries, except for Ilyan, so that we could bring them back to the house. They were all just exhausted mentally and physically. They used an immense amount of power, and it drained them. I had the boys get checked out, but they were fine—a few minor wounds have already healed, and some bruising almost faded. The girls are still asleep but wake up to use the bathroom, and that is it. Drake and Dray have hardly left their room. Their mother had to threaten them to make them leave the room to eat and shower. They didn’t want to leave Ty. I understand, but they can’t stop taking care of themselves, which their mother pointed would upset Ty when she woke up if they were to make themselves sick because they wouldn’t leave her.
I didn’t like the idea of Dray going on a perimeter check with some of the guards without me. We always did shit like that together. We had talked that morning and decided that one of us should stay with Ty. She was still very upset about Royatalia passing and the babies being handed over to her cousin. I knew that she knew they would be safe with her cousin, but she had gotten attached to the twins. Dray and I have been suspicious that Ty might be pregnant as of late. Her scent hasn’t changed, but she has been more emotional than normal, and her appetite has increased. Shifters generally eat more than humans or other supernaturals, but Ty has been eating more than we have ever seen her eat. We had been told that gemstone dragons' scent would not change when they were carrying a child, so with her getting tested, Dray and I had no way of confirming our suspicion. Dray had been gone for
I am not sure why I am agreeing to help Ty with what she, Elayni, Amani, and Reyna are planning. This has a huge potential to go wrong quickly. I have watched Ty grow up. I was worried when she was younger because she was a little on the shy side. I am not sure if it was shy or more that she didn’t trust. I think it was both. Since coming here and meeting the twins, she has grown into a strong, confident woman. Now that she has complete control of her powers, she has grown even more confident. I have never met the triplets, but I know of them. I decided to tell Drake and Dray what was going on. They were pissed at first, but once I explained why we had to do this, they were somewhat accepting of the plan. “Why does she need to be the one to kill Orchid?” Dray asks.“Because she is the only one that can suppress Orchid’s powers. Orchid won’t be able to use her magic against Ty.” Mitch explains.“Ok, I understand, but what if this Teharan grabs her and jumps realms?” Dra
It’s been a month, and Firewalker and his band of jackasses haven’t made one move. Orchid hasn’t shown her face around here again, and there have been a few changelings spotted but outside of our borders. They are watching us, but they haven’t made a move. Royatalia and the babies are doing well. She wasn’t overly happy when she woke up after her emergency c-section, and she wouldn’t talk to anyone but Haskar. Grayston and Travian explained everything, but she still refused to talk. It took Cecilia talking with her to make her realise that Jyquardini’s father had done something to make her believe what they were doing was fine. Once the spell or whatever they had placed on her wore off, she was different. She still wasn’t very trusting, but I couldn’t blame her. Her life has been a lie, and even her mate wasn’t telling her the truth. No one is sure if Jyquardini knew what his father did, but I feel he knew. He may not have known to what extent his father went, but I believe
There is something about Teharan that has been bugging me for the week. There is still nothing happening within Firewalker’s complex. We had only known about him for the last week, but when I saw him in Amani’s little memory, she tapped into I got the weird feeling that I knew him. It has been eating away at me this whole week. I drop down into my chair and lean back. I don’t know why this is bothering me so damn much.“You ok?” Dray asks.He and Drake are standing in the doorway, looking at me like I have lost my mind. Fuck, maybe I have lost it. They come in and sit down while I mentally try to figure out what I will say to them. I know they’re waiting for me to explain, but fuck, I can’t even explain this to myself.&l
I could feel everyone looking at me when I told them there was another way. They know what I can do, but I haven’t used my powers like this in a long time. I haven’t had a reason to, but now I do. Orion can feel his hand on my back, telling me everything will be alright. Yamarna is the only one that knows that I can do this. We made damn sure that our old alpha and those who attacked and took us as slaves never found what I could do. I ask Haskar if he was where he was most of the time, and he says that he was around Royatalia but was permitted to wander around the outskirts of the clan.“Amani, what is it?” Ty asks.“It will be easier if I show you.” I state.I hate using my powers like this. It drains me, and I fe
