Chapter 4 Charismatic Logan Smith

Olive's eyes were met with the blinding sun rays that penetrated the hotel room. Her eyes fell on her lower body and she made to shout in surprise when seeing the hickeys all over her thighs, belly, and her breasts. She was certain there were many of them on her neck but now wasn't the time for her to check.

She turned around and Olive spotted the man who was sleeping on the bed close by. She was surprised because he was really good-looking and didn't look anything like how Luca had described the investor.

He looked like a mini-Demi god even though he was sleeping! His face was so handsome even though it was still morning time. Olive didn't know why he looked so different from the description Luca gave her.

She couldn't help but stare a little bit more. But then she remembered that her mother still needed to undergo surgery so she immediately grabbed her gown from the floor and her heels. She went to the bathroom and dressed up real quick.

After that, she rushed to the table close by and reached out to her bag to sneak out of the room.

She turned around to look at the man for the last time, she wondered how such a fine man could be so indiscipline to want to bed a woman before he worked with a company.

' what a waste ' she thought before she sneaked out of the room and made her way down the hall to head to her uncle's house to inform Maggie that she was done with the work.

Tension hung in the air as the man paced around the room, he screeched again after a while "You dumb ass, a lady came into my room last night and none of you knew about it??"

The three guards lowered their heads "We only went to take a nap when the sun was beginning to set, Boss Logan"

Logan Smith Snapped "Out of my sight. You incompetent fools".

His friend who was sitting on the couch close by called out to him "Calm down, Logan. I still do not understand the reason you are worried about sleeping with a stranger, it doesn't call for this reaction"

Logan scoffed, "I do not care either but I feel very wronged cause I was drunk all in the name of attending your damn birthday party here in this hotel"

His friend, Scott rolled his eyes ridiculously "It's only normal that you attend my birthday but I still think this shouldn't be your concern..your concern right now should be about your nagging father and your company's image that is at stake here"

Logan kicked the furniture close by before he sat on the bed, mulling over his wrenched predicament.

Logan Smith is a thirty-six-year-old man whose only agenda at the moment is to clear his name and his company's reputation.

He sighed "How bad is the rumor now, Secretary Scott?"

His secretary and best friend, Scott reported "The hot rumor of you being Gay has topped the search list and the news keeps spreading even to intentional markets and platforms. Three other overseas investors pulled out this morning and my phone has been buzzing even during my birthday that I had to shut it off. People are talking"

Logan cupped his face in his palm as he let out a deep breath "Scott...I am to meet my arranged bride in a few hours,please prepare my outfit, I need to clear all of these dirty misunderstandings"

Scott nodded and Logan reported again "And that woman from last night, find everything about her and send them to me! You have just a few minutes to dig into her background! Even if it means inquiring from the hotel management about the CCTV. Do it"

Scott ogled at Logan for a while and when Logan felt the gaze on him, he scowled "What?"

"Am I the only one thinking this is strange??" He asked with a hushed tone and Logan shook his head.

"It is shocking. Till now, I still don't feel sick and my skin is not pricking, no rash, redness, itching, or blisters which I normally get due to my rare illness" Logan said with a sigh "And This makes me even more curious about the lady from last night"

"I thought the doctor said you can only get an episode of your idiopathic contact dermatitis if touched by a woman, how come this lady is different??"

Logan stood up from the bed "And that is why, you must find her before I get to my arranged bride's house!" With that, Logan stepped into the bathroom adjacent to the room.

The world doesn't know of his rare illness where he can't be in physical contact with a woman else, his skin starts to develop redness, rashes, blisters, and even swells.

This was the reason people started to question his sexual preference because he was never seen close to a woman, even during functions his guards were on standby to chase women away from getting close to him. Only his immediate family knows about his illness.

Meanwhile, The taxi Olive boarded parked right outside her uncle's house and she jumped out of the car to go meet her aunt, Maggie.

She just wanted to take the money from her and head straight to the hospital. Her mom's nurse called again to inform her that they had just a little time left.

Olive pushed the door open and hurried into the living room in search of Maggie and thankfully, she spotted her in the living room, standing close to the fireplace,luca was also standing there.

"Aunt Maggie..." Olive rushed to her side to inform her that she had completed the work.

"I did it, can you transfer the money to—" Her words were cut off by a hot slap, the slap turned her face to the side and she accidentally bit her lip due to the force of the slap.

She raised her eyes to look at Maggie but Maggie only glared at her sharply, Olive whimpered "Aunt..."

"You filthy thing, what did you do? A simple task and you couldn't deliver!!"

A question mark formed in her head "I-did as told"

Maggie immediately pushed Olive in anger and she fell on the hard tiled floor feeling puzzled "You want to play smart with me, huh?? You fool, the investor called that you never came!"
