Chapter 3 Passing the Audition

“You are here for the female lead of the television drama “The Grand World”, aren’t you? Let me tell you, the director Mr. Scott has already given me this role. You have no chance.”

Kristen didn’t t respond and went to the dressing room of the studio. She put on costumes and simple makeup.

In just half an hour, the intellectual beauty had turned into a young man in an ancient costume.

Her hair was coiled up high and she looked delicate and pretty. Her long black clothes amazed others.

“Who’s that? He’s so handsome!”

“Oh my gosh, he should be a new actor! I wonder what role he’s here to audition for.”

The rest of the people in the dressing room were whispering.

Hearing an assistant at the audition call her name, a smile flashed across Kristen’s eyes. She walked into the audition room.

“Hello, director, everyone, I’m here to audition for the second male lead, my name is Kristen Healey.”

Everyone was stunned. Mr. Scott asked, “Kristen? Are you a girl?”

If it weren’t for her name, no one could tell that Kristen was a girl.

“Mr. Scott, I didn’t find there’s a rule that says women can’t audition for the second male lead, right?”

Mr. Scott smiled with interest, “Okay, start your performance.”

Kristen got into character and began her audition.

When the three-minute show was over, everyone in the room was surprised.

Not only in terms of appearance but also acting skills, the role of the second male lead seemed to be completely tailored for Kristen. She fitted this role too well.

A glimmer of surprise flashed in Mr. Scott’s eyes.

At this moment, the producer at the side came over and whispered, “Mr. Scott, Kristen offended someone from the Davis family a year ago. Do you think...”

The Davis family had a high status in Nangania.

Mr. Scott was caught in a dilemma. All these years, he had always been impartial, but the Davis family was indeed a difficult problem.

In the past year, she had auditioned for many TV shows’ female leads, but all of her opportunities had been secretly ruined by Taylor.

When she accidentally saw the scripts for “The Grand World”, she wanted to audition for the female lead role. However, when she learned that Taylor also wanted to fight for the same role, she immediately changed her mind.

And now, she had succeeded!

Everything went well. After passing the audition, Kristen signed the contract with the staff.

She walked out of the set and found that Jacob was already waiting for her.

Jacob was the only one who knew about the relationship between Ethan and Kristen.

He was polite and deferential when he was with Kristen. After all, his boss Mr. Wharton’s little lover had a bad temper, and he couldn’t afford to offend her.

After getting in the car, Kristen called Ethan.

“Ethan, I succeeded in my audition!”

“Really?” The man’s magnetic voice came from the other end of the line.

Kristen said smugly, “That’s right. You looked down on me this morning. Well, I’ll let that slide. I’m happy now. I’ll cook when I get home. Come home and have dinner with me when you’re done.”

The person on the other end of the line was silent for two seconds, “Forget it...”
