Hooked

He wore a plain long sleeved shirt and pants. His black hair was neatly trimmed and he wore a pair of glasses. In one word, he's a nerd. The only un-nerd-ish thing about him was his stature. Yes. He's tall and he looks fit. 

    Noticing the strange eyes on him, Arizona looked away. He hates attention.

  

     Areum stared at him in shock. Her green eyes widened, "He's that guy from Uncle Yul's cafe." She muttered to herself. Yh. The one that unintentionally bathed her with coffee... The one that keeps interrupting her thoughts,his electric blue eyes staring down at her in her dreams. 

  "Is he a new student?" Blair, one of the students asked. 

   "No. He's always been in the class. He's just not an attention seeker, so look away, you'll make him shy."Mr Oliver said 

    Some of the girls giggled," He's cute."One spoke up and they chuckled.

      Areum clasped her hands together on her laps. How is she supposed to work with him!? Ok... It's not a big deal. She'll just dump all the work on him anyways. She doesn't think she'll be able to stand with him with the way her heart skips around him.

        "You have 3 weeks to submit else, you'll get a FAIL in your CA.  Goodbye and Good luck. Out we go Audrey." He smiled at the girl and left the class. 

    The students groaned. 

Areum packed her bag and stood up. She took a deep breath before walking to where Arizona sat, packing his books into his backpack. 

    "Hi." She said.

He smiled up at her, "Hello." 

    Areum said, "So... How do we... um... Go about this? I don't think I have time for a team project." 

   Arizona stood up, wearing his backpack. "We could make a schedule. Maybe we can... meet after school?" He said awkwardly, clutching his bag handles. 

     Areum found herself smiling at the tiny flush on his fair face, "Ok. I have detention today. And for the rest of the week anyway. My schedule is pretty tight." She frowned. After detention, she'll have practice. 

     Arizona raised a brow, "maybe weekends..." 

   "Using roughly 6 days to work on the project!? It's not possible." Areum exclaimed. 

   Arizona smiled a bit, "We'll do something about it then."

   Areum nodded and was about to say something but then her phone rang. She muttered, 'excuse me'  before picking up,

  " Hey! I'm coming! I'm coming!"Areum rolled her eyes. "Yh whatever." She smiled and terminated the call. 

    She turned to the nerd guy, "I have to go. We'll talk tomorrow. It was nice meeting you, Arizona." stretching her hand towards him. 

     Arizona smiled, stretching his hand awkwardly and shaking hers, "Same here, Areum." 

    Areum smiled, her heart leaping as she stared at his cute face. HOOKED. 

She waved at him before walking out of the class. 

  Arizona let out an awkward breath then cleared his throat. '八how am i going to manage with her? I'm so damn clumsy...' He thought, walking out of the class. 

     His phone rang and he picked up the call, "Hi dad... I'm cool... I'll be over then."

    Music class

Mr Blooms stood before the students, "As you all know, the session is coming to an end and you are all graduating, that is if you pass your final year exams." 

   "yes sir!" 

  "I want you guys to present something for the school. So we'll have a general performance, a duet and a solo." 

    "Let Serafina perform the solo!"A guy spoke up and the others burst out laughing. 

    "you want our guests to go home deaf."The one beside him chimed, earning a louder laughter from the others. 

     Serafina glared hard at the guy that spoke first and he smirked cockily at her. He's Mitchell Grey, the second best singer in Crystal Academy,that is, after Kanye. 

    Then Micheal Gray, Mitchell's best friend, was the fourth best, after an Italian guy named Alejandro. 

   These four studs;Kanye, Mitchell, Alejandro and Michael, were the idols of Crystal Academy. The girls adore and worship them... Except Areum. She doesn't see anything so special about them.Just a bunch of talented and handsome rich kids. 

        Mr Blooms eyed them all, "We'll have an audition to pick our soloist. Now, Ginger, Areum, Brisa, pick up..."

           ⭐⭐⭐

Areum walked out of the class, hating the fact that she has detention and then another music class. 

  " Areum!"She heard a call behind her so she turned only to see Kanye jogging up to her," Woah!you walk so fast!" He exclaimed as he reached her. 

    Areum smiled, "I do, don't i?" 

Kanye smiled, "Are you busy after school?"

  " i have a jail term to serve. "Areum rolled her spring green eyes. 

  " And after that? "

" Practice at Melody Institute. "It's an institution that brings up talented people and signs them into musical industries. Although Mr Kyung could do so with a snap of his finger, Areum preferred to work it out herself. 

   " And then? "

" Then I'll be too tired to go anywhere cuz it'll be like 7 o'clock already. "Areum replied, titling her head slightly to the right. 

    

     Kanye sighed disappointedly."I see. We'll see around then?" 

     Areum smiled, "Sure!" 

Kanye smiled at her before walking away. Areum sighed, "So much for breaking your teacher's arm." She muttered to herself, a pout on her plump pink lips as she walked down to the JAIL ROOM.

    Areum laid dog tiredly on her bed. Her life has been mugged up these days. It's annoying. Now, she had to start practicing for the solo audition. It's annoying. And she also has to think of a dumb historical novel to write. It's annoying. 

     Speaking of novels... How is she going to work with Arizona? Because, for one reason, her heart wouldn't calm anytime she sees him or thinks of him. It's always beating and skipping. 

    Hope she's not going to get a heart attack!?

  She giggled to herself. Probably not.

It should be cool to work with him. He's cool, calm... And he looks pretty smart. She smiled to herself. They'll talk tomorrow. 

    ARIzona and AREum... Working together.. Getting to know each other...
