(George POV)
It was a marvel how the woman escaped death from the hands of the merciless man. The rumor about Master Sean being a killer was still unproven but that kindness wasn’t quite in his persona either. He’s a silent guy that was otherwise skillful at scaring people; young or old, it didn’t matter. And too unpredictable.
I stood before the woman whose lips were bleeding. The room was a mess of blood. Whatever happened was unknown to me since I only came by when the Master called my name.
Master Sean doesn't spare women. Heavens forbid, she should be dead already. But why’s she still breathing?
"What are you looking at?!" she squinted at me angrily.
I was honestly impressed when she challenged Master Sean. And for the first time, the Master didn’t sentence somebody to death. There was no fear in her face and through her words, she seemed to be ignorant about his identity. Didn't she know that at any time he could make her disappear from this world?
"Can you stand up?" I asked, still in disbelief that she challenged Master Sean.
She just took a deep breath. “Where’s my brother?”
But I answered her with another question. “Did you defeat Master Sean?”
She got quiet all of a sudden, shook her head, and started to cry. “Where’s my Brother? That demon might kill him.”
It all made sense. Master Sean must be showing her his real self.
I fixed the cloth that was twisted around her head. Master Sean must’ve pitied her when he was about to kill her. I sighed, wishing he’d always be like that. I knew that his usual temperament was his way of venting out his frustration to the people who have no idea why he was what he was.
"I’m George Ronquillo, Master Sean's Personal Secretary here in the Philippines. What you witnessed earlier with the bodyguards was a punishment to them for not doing their jobs well during his arrival. And it is your fault.”
She stopped crying when she heard that.
"My fault? I didn’t beat them." We are aware of that. A mere woman like her couldnt hurt Master Sean men which is highly train in terms of fighting. "I didn't even do anything! I am really going to sue you people when I get out of this place! Here! Look at this! This is enough evidence,” she showed me her arms that started to bruise.
I smiled. “You heard Master Sean, right? I doubt he’ll allow you to leave. Do you not know him?”
“I do. He's a demon! A sadist! I think he’s got loose screws or maybe he’s just the personification of violence!”
“You think he’s a demon? Be thankful you’re still alive. The person you’re calling a demon today can make your life a real hell. He’s the well-known multi-billionaire bachelor who owns the Herald Monopolies of Businesses… HMB. Like Elite Residential HMB, Asian International Airlines HMB, etcetera.”
“But he has no right to take lives." As if she didnt listen to what I said. "Why don’t he use his money to help the poor instead? It's just annoying to think that there’s nothing else he can do with his life. Like, be kind. The world needs kindness! If only he’s kind, with that amount of money in his hands, he’d be enough hero for the world,” she said without even thinking what goes out of her mouth.
She’s got guts.
But she has a point. Master Sean got everything. And to quench his boredom, he’d usually play with the people he knew were cowards.
The girl suddenly stood up, but was put back down by her lack of strength. She looked hurt. I offered my hands but she took my arms for support. I guided her to the sofa but before I could talk to her, she fell unconscious. Just on time, the doctor whom I requested has come.
“Sir,” my staff handed me a black folder. “All information about her.”
Sena Sontoria, twenty-five, and a graduating student. That’s all I needed to know. I folded the document while Master Sean was in the other room.
Many of his men and the Philippine President’s bodyguards were standing in the hallway. I showed my ID to a man codenamed Hint so they’ll know I was Master Sean's personal bodyguard; and his right hand that usually got stained with blood. He immediately opened the door for me. The first person that met my eyes was the President. He was sitting on the settee as he talked with a fellow government official.
I bowed to them as respect for their position.
“We’re sorry for what happened. I hope you won’t withdraw your contract with our country,” he said.
“Mr. President, we don't take back our words.”
“Leave the mess below to us. We’ll fix everything.”
“That’s not necessary. We already handled that mishap,” I flashed him a smile.
“Is that so?”
“Yes, since it concerned our Master.”
The President stood up when he heard we’re keeping the deal.
“As for dinner treat to the Philippines, we already transferred an account for that. Please take care of it, Mr. President.”
“We owe you thanks then,” he answered although still wondering why the Master did that. Then he turned his back and left with his men outside.
“Make sure the country gets that dinner. Master Sean will be disappointed if you don’t,” I told him before he could leave but the door just closed without an answer.
Another man came by and escorted me to a large bathing area. I stopped before the double doors and paid my respects to Master Sean before entering. He was calmly submerged in the tub and didn't even look at me when I arrived. He knew it was me.
Master Sean's assistants were bulky men. He didn't like to be surrounded with women because he thought they’re fragile and useless to him.
“George, I want to visit my old man again. Make the usual simple preparation,” he said in no more than a whisper.
He meant he’d be going to the province where his father lived. That poor man who knew nothing about his son's wealth and thought that the Master was only an overseas accountant. His old man was living the peaceful life. And thus, Master Sean would disguise himself as a commoner whenever he’d go home.
“Understood,” I answered.
But unexpectedly I heard him ask, “How is she?”
She? For a second, I thought I heard him wrong. But then I recalled the woman. Is he asking about her?
“Still unconscious, Master Sean.”
Then I handed him her documents. He took it, opened it for measly seconds, and dropped the thing on the floor.
“She must recover sooner,” he mumbled with a smirk.
I looked at him. “She wants to go home.”
Like magic, those words made him gaze at me.
“Do you think she’ll recover by herself? Did you already tell her that her brother’s life is still at stake?”
“I didn’t have the chance. She passed out before I could tell her the whole thing.”
“When she wakes up, tell her she can escape. That is, in exchange of her brother’s life.”

(Sena POV)My eyelids suddenly flung open. I didn’t have a nightmare. I just woke up. But immediately I tried to go back to sleep. Ah, how comfortable it is to sleep in an air-conditioned room. I always felt good about myself whenever I wake up refreshed from a rather exhausted body before sleeping. I'm so cute. But hurtful. Yes
(George POV)I have no idea if the woman would still be alive after I leave the room. She looked like she didn’t care though. Like the Master, she seemed prideful. But difference was, Master Sean was a fully matured arrogant man. The female, on the other hand, was more childish. Like a spoiled brat. As if she even has a chance at survival. She never faltered to talk back to him. Did she know who she’s talking to?
( Sena POV's )The man sat on the sofa and took his wineglass back. He grinned at me when he heard my words. “I’d be so delighted to kill you,” he said.“Geez, I’ve heard you say that since yesterday.”
( Sena )He was the one who got surprised.“You crazy bitch,” he said.I laughed at him when I ripped his smile off.
( Sena )“Ahhhh!”“Sena!” Doc Evenarte scowled at me. Even the little patient was agape.Huh? That was just a dream? I was right but why did that feel so real?
((LEON))“We apologize for the incident earlier,” the President gave his message personally. I was holding the catalyst of that disaster, a woman’s ID card. Master Sean already took action about his humiliating picture before it spread online. Lots of cameras, cell phones, and video devices were confiscated so the shots t
((SENA))I was in a hurry to school so I just took the bread brother got us for breakfast. I was about to be late for our first class and an exam. I didn't even also sleep last night because of my previous nightmare and that ID which I’ve lost. “Go home early,” brother said.
((LEON))“Is there no other route?” I asked the driver while looking at the long cue of vehicles in the highway. I knew it would be traffic.
