Zayden

She trembled, her knees jerking violently.

"Hey, are you okay?" I reached for her but she stumbled backwards, knocking over the wine glass that was on the island and onto the floor.

The first tear trickled down her cheeks as she grasped violently. She was losing balance, I did not understand what was happening.

My first thought was that she might be asthmatic with the way she was grasping violently for air.

"Lillian, calm down. Breathe, breathe okay!"I held her shoulders but they were stiff and cold.

Her whole body was stiff." Noah!"

I had no idea what was happening but it was freaking me out. Her whole body started jerking erratically.

She slipped out of my hold and stumbled on the floor right into the broken wine glass.

"Fuck! Lillian calm down!" I ran to her side immediately, trying to lift her but she was shaking damn too hard.

Her whole body was sweaty as tiny cries left her lips.

I cursed "Lillian, look at me." I held her face, trying to get her attention b

Lillian I opened my eyes to darkness. My back hurt, my legs were numb and I couldn't move my hands. I groaned, my body felt extremely heavy. I tried taking in my surroundings; despite the darkness, it felt familiar. Where was I? A noise startled me; I turned in the direction of the sound. Footsteps started approaching. I attempted to stand then I realised I was tied to a chair. I tugged violently, hoping to loosen the rope a little, but it was no use; they were the size of my palm. I tried calming my breathing but they came out loudly. The lights were turned on, almost blinding me and causing my vision to blur a little. I couldn't make out the silhouette in front of me immediately. Slowly, my vision returned; there was a man. He stood tall and broad. I couldn't see his face because his head was almost touching the light bulb casting a bright light on his face. " Little bird,I've missed you." He spoke. I froze. I recognised that voice. He raised my chin to

Lillian The first thing I noticed was how tall Zayden was, he had to bend to pass through the door. And then someone followed behind him, shorter but he occupied space. I stiffened, my fingers trembling slightly. Why was he here?He smiled at me." Lillian, it's been so long." I gritted my teeth; how could he be so jovial after everything he put me through? " I told Victoria it was you I saw being rushed into the ward but she wouldn't believe me." He chimed. "What do you want?" I said, cooly.Jade and Zayden were watching. Jade had only heard fragments of stories about my foster family, but Zayden knew nothing, and I wanted it to remain that way. He glanced around." If we could have some privacy." I nodded at Jade. She nodded back and left, but Zayden remained sitting. I saw the hesitation in his eyes. He didn't trust Thomas to be alone with me. I won't blame him, my father had the face of a criminal. " Come on, Zayden, I need to speak with my daughter," Thomas spoke with

Zayden I opened the door for her, my eyes never leaving hers. It's not something I usually do but I just can't help it. Her cheeks turned pink." This is the first time you're opening the door for me. Did you perhaps hit your head on something?" I was shocked at what I did." I'm trying to be a gentleman, here." She chuckled." We both know you're not." I shrugged, getting into the driver's seat. We just left the registry. We were now married, I somehow found it hard to believe but she signed the papers. I had expected it would be difficult to convince her but here we were. There was this bubbly feeling that had been messing with my thinking since last night. She was yet to sign the contract, though. According to her, She would make the rules, and I was to oblige. " Wait, do not tell anyone we are married. No one can find out about this." She grasped, worry written all over her pretty face. I took a left turn, heading for the office." As long as my dad doesn't request a w

Lillian I was jolted up by a loud bang. I put down my phone which I was using to watch a movie. Another one of the advantages of marrying your boss. You'll get to do next to nothing while his jealous bitch of a receptionist does all the work. I took pride in it, my ordering Helena around was satisfying, especially the look on her face. " Zayden?" I called, walking over to his desk. He was standing in front of the polished table, his hands clutching the desk tightly. He had his head bowed, so I could not see his face but I could see how he breathed heavily. How sweat tossed down his dark hair. How the muscles in his biceps flexed and how his jaw ticked. " Zayden, are you okay?” I stepped closer, adamant to know why he banged the door roughly like that. He raised his head, his gaze pinning me in place. His eyes had darkened and he stared at me with that same look he had when we first met. I suddenly tensed, the temperature dropping drastically. I sensed fury, I kno

Lillian He immediately bucked, letting go of my neck to grab my hands that were tightly clutching his dick behind his pants. I coughed, trying desperately to catch my breath. Zayden just strangled me, he strangled me and slammed me on the desk. This only shows he had no regard for me at all. " I told you to walk away." I gritted my teeth, tightening my grip on his dick. He sucked in a huge breath, the anger slowly disappearing from his face." Let go right now!" I heard bending a man's cock in a certain way can cause pain especially if erect. He hurt me so I'll hurt him too. " I told you that whenever you feel angry, walk away! Walk the fuck away! Calm yourself then we'll talk rationally!" I blurted out. He raised his eyes to look at me, then down to my cheeks which were soaked with tears. Remorse written all over his face, he must have miraculously realized what he did. Oh, now he was back to the normal Zayden. " Lillian....." He breathed. I shook my head." Remo

Lillian I've been standing here for over fifteen minutes now." If you don't give me the templates, then I'll just tell Zayden you refused orders." She hissed." Look at you being all sassy. Don't forget your place, Lillian." I hummed." My place is right above you." I pointed at her, a sly smile on my lips. It feels good to be superior. I know I'm being unreasonable right now. We were not even married yet, and here I was already giving orders, but I didn't care. " Look for the template yourself." She snarled. I shrugged." Have it your way then; I'll just simply tell Zayden that you refused his order." She hesitated before digging into her shelf."Here you go." She handed over the Files that Hale Corp rejected. I smirked." I'm going to be your boss soon, do show a little respect." She cursed at me." You should be ashamed. You're sleeping with your boss. You're a whore.” I chuckled." I'm sleeping with both brothers. That's why they're all over me. I won't be surpri

Lillian This was a family dinner so I didn't understand why Sage and Oliver were here. The dining room was filled with silence, the atmosphere colder than the Arctic. The bond between father and sons was terrible. They barely acknowledged each other's existence. Sage was the one trying to make small talk but snapped her mouth shut after no one paid attention to her. I, on the other hand, was busy trying to be a good daughter-in-law. I set the table with the butlers and here I was filling my fiancé's plate. He was staring at me as I dished salad into his plate. Suspicious that I was acting sweet all of a sudden after giving him the cold shoulder just hours ago. " Don't worry, I didn't poison it. There are many ways to get back at you other than poison." I whispered and left his side. He stared at the salad before picking up his fork. A small smile crept on my face. Take note ladies, there are many ways to get back at a man. His expression changed as soon as he fi

Zayden The door opened, and she came into view. She had her eyes on the floor, avoiding eye contact. I watched as she climbed on the bed and under the covers without saying a word. I expected her to Interrogate me, as other people would. But she just lay there pretending to be asleep. I clenched my fists; my first thought was that she would end the contract after all; no sane woman would want to marry someone like me.I overheard her conversation with Aiden. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I got tired of waiting for her to come to bed, so I went out to find her. He wasn't lying though. I did eighty per cent of what he told her, it was only left for her to believe it or not. I knew Aiden would do this, everything was in the past. He was supposed to keep his mouth shut.I sighed, closing my laptop and joining her in bed.I felt her stiffen. She was scared of me. I opened my mouth to speak but closed it right back. What the fuck was I supposed to say?...... I'm sorry I kill

Lillian He came! He came for me! The moment Zayden walked through that door, it felt like that hook that had been at the back of my throat finally came off. Like I could finally breathe, like my shoulders could finally feel less heavy. Like the void and darkness that engulfed my soul suddenly disappeared. At one point, I gave up, especially after seeing the news that he was in prison. I lost hope that he was searching for me. So seeing him right now made my eyes water. All the strength and courage I had lost suddenly came rushing through my body. The sudden urge to watch him murder these people while I applaud in the background was overwhelming. It would be our perfect victory. This was the only instance where I think shoving a knife through someone's heart was completely normal and legal. That someone being Jade. Call me insane, but I no longer care, not after what I've been through. For the past few days, Sage didn't hurt me past what I couldn't bear. It was always

Zayden Oliver groaned, clutching his injured arm. I ran over to him, more gunshots firing through the air." Take whoever is shooting down, right now!" I yelled.I knelt beside him, trying to put pressure on the wound." Ahh...fuck! You didn't tell me it hurt this much." He groaned, his face turning beet red.I tore a piece from my jacket and wrapped it around the wound to stop the bleeding." What? Did you expect an orgasm?" I crooked a brow.He threw a glare my way or at least tried to. His face twisted in agony as I lifted him up.I can't carry him any more than this because my gunshot wound was still fresh. I did not want to reopen it, at least not yet." Stay here and call for help if you can't bear the pain," I told him.He shook his head "No way, I'm going in." " Can you handle it?" He stood on both feet, sweat pouring down his face." It's just my left arm, I can manage." I scrutinized him for a moment and then shook my head." You look like you are going to pass out. Go ba

Zayden We spent half an hour trying to shake off the cops. They were very persistent and chased us around town. We managed to take down two of their cars, but no casualties were obtained. And then, finally, we lost them. " I think we should shift the rescue to tomorrow night." Oliver suggested." Hell, no! I'm getting my wife back today!" I countered.Oliver did the face slap." It's almost daybreak. The journey to Delaware would be a long one, and then it would be broadcast tomorrow morning that an inmate broke out of his cell." " Then we better start now," I added, walking over to the back of the van to change my bloodied clothes. Oliver had successfully removed the bullet manually and stitched me up. I had to force myself to think of Lillian's boobs so I wouldn't pass out from the pain.Oliver sighed but didn't say anything more. " Let's run over the plan then," I spoke up, gathering all the men together." The search starts from here," I said pointing at an old manor. "It's

Zayden The hands of the clock ticked very slowly. I didn't sleep, I stayed up and counted each second. It kept ticking, each second felt like an hour. Five...four....three...two...one!Midnight.I walked over to the bars, there was a camera right in front of my cell. It was in every cell in the precinct. My eyes were glued to it, waiting for the blinking red light to switch off. I waited while glancing at the clock at intervals. The officers that went on patrol would be back by 2pm so I had two hours to break out of this place. A minute passed and nothing happened. I began pacing; it's just a minute, right? Maybe Blondie got jammed with something. He can't possibly back out, I'm giving him six hundred fucking dollars. My hands were jerking uncontrollably. I glanced at the clock again; five minutes had passed, and I could still see that blinking red light from the cameras. I tugged my hair, I'll wait a little longer. I don't want to have to resort to drastic measures.I double

  • The Devil's Secretary    Chapter 85

Zayden Just like I predicted, Thomas was found dead the next morning. It was broadcast on the radio that he was brutally murdered in his home at 1 pm last night. The surviving wife and child were taken into police custody immediately, and a thorough search for Tyrell was set in motion. Once again Tyrell left his signature in the gory scene. The state was in an uproar. The police began night patrol but I knew that wouldn't stop him. The police needed extra forces, so the officers in the precinct were reduced by, half, which thankfully was to my advantage. At night, half the officers would go out for patrol to protect their citizens, and that's when I'd break out I have about eight hours before nightfall. I'd lie if I said I wasn't nervous butt at this point, I couldn't care less. The only problem I was faced with was getting the keys from Blondie. He would keep watch tonight, I planned on bribing him, but there's a fifty per cent chance that it would work. I'll just have to

Zayden Aiden was soaring high. He was making a name for himself in my place. I was forced to listen because that stupid blondie refused to turn off the radio. I didn't complain after; at least I got to know what was happening in the outside world. Aiden launched a project, and it gained fame; he received praise here and there. The press was all over him, some releasing articles saying The company has doubled its assets since Aiden stepped in. Apart from that, the news was boring. I had sent another message to my dad through Oliver. He refused to see me and asked that I be patient till the day before my trial which was eleven days from now. I'm not a patient man.I had no choice but to fall back to breaking out of prison. Don't get me wrong, I haven't done this before, and I still have no idea how I am going to go about it. I've seen a few movies, so breaking out of prison shouldn't be that hard right?Wrong! It's as hard as hell, even with the blueprint at the back of my min

  • The Devil's Secretary    Chapter 83

Zayden I was kept in a cell. I would be transferred to Fox River prison if I was found guilty two weeks from now. It's not that I don't trust my lawyer, the worst that could happen would be me getting locked up but with a reduced sentence, Maybe forty years.I cringe at that thought, it wouldn't bother me so much if Lillian was coming to see me.But the fact that she still hadn't been found was eating me up from the inside. My plan failed; I couldn't get my father to talk, and I cursed myself for it.I still had another chance before my trial which was in two weeks. I sent a message to my father asking for us to meet privately. He at first refused but then sent in his response just yesterday. The only problem was that he would grace me with his presence a day before my trial. I can't wait that long.I can't wait two weeks before I get out of here, Lillian needs me. I paced my cell, tugging on my hair. I was slowly losing my mind. I pushed myself up against the bars, banging on th

Lillian. I used my fingers to detangle my messed up hair while staring at my reflection through the water in the bowl Falco brought me a while ago.I bite down on my lower lip suppressing the sob that threatened to fall out. My hair was barely shoulder length and cut irregularly. I've never felt this much rage in my entire life. That painful urge to pick up a fork and stab it through that bitche's eye was eating at me.Yes, I was helpless but I knew I would get rescued and these fuckers would pay.I'll personally shave every single hair off her scalp with my bare hands.I wasn't too surprised when she walked in yesterday, at first she had a mask on her face but her swollen tummy gave her away. That look in her eyes was like she had already won. I didn't do anything stupid and just remained quiet till I was taken back to the basement. Now here I was preparing for the night.Falco came in placing the bowl of rice on the floor. It's the same old rice and eggs but thankfully no apple t

Zayden Dressed in a black Armani three-piece suit, he stood before the podium, cameras flashing their lights in all directions." You're going to be in the newspaper tomorrow, Zay." Oliver chortled.I shrugged."I guess I'm getting famous." My father cleared his throat, and then a drained expression formed on his face. I've known him long enough to know when he was faking an act. Right now, he was faking it." It's with utmost sorrow that I stand before you here today. I should have addressed this issue sooner instead of letting it lie low till now." He began, his eyes looking over the crowd. " As a citizen of this great country, I must abide by the laws of our land, and an outlaw remains an outlaw regardless of whether he or she is a family member or not." He paused, using a napkin to wipe the sweat off his face."The news of my son's crimes must have circulated by now. Some of you have questioned my credibility and the credibility of my assets.
