Caught

“Are you sure?” Luca asked, pressing down on the pedal.

I tried to look past the cars behind us, focusing on the man behind the steering wheel.

He caught my gaze and his lips formed into a smirk.

“Yes, I'm sure,” I whispered, falling to the car seat.

He had seen me. He knew that we were aware of his presence behind us.

What we were going to do?

I couldn't help but panic as the car zoomed faster.

I watched in fear as Luca drove past a red light, narrowly missing being hit by a truck.

“Luca slow down,” I cried out in panic, trying to put my seatbelt on.

Luca didn't reply as he changed the gear of the car, his foot still pressing down on the gas pedal.

A bullet went through the back glass, going through the front. I screamed, dropping to the floor with my hands covering my head.

He just shot at us.. he has a gun.

My blood ran cold at that thought but Luca seemed unfazed. We had left the highway, going into a street that led home.

I turned around to see his car following right beh
