Damian was sitting in his study when his cell phone rang loudly, breaking the silence. He furrowed his brow and picked it up immediately. The voice of the doctor who had been treating his mother sounded panicked on the other side.

"Mr. Damian, I'm sorry. Mrs. Dania... she managed to escape. We tried to calm her down, but she was hysterical. The guards-"

"What?! Escaped?!" Damian stood up instantly, his chair almost tipping backward. His voice sounded like a thunderous crash. "How come? What have you been doing all this time, huh?!"

"She became very aggressive, sir. We didn't expect his strength... we-"

"Shut up!" Damian slammed his cell phone down on the table, his face red with anger. He yelled at the people in his house, making the sound echo throughout the mansion. "Dog! You're all incompetent!"

Yara, who was in her room at the time, heard Damian's shrill shout. She frowned, confused and alarmed. She didn't know what was going on, but Damian's anger felt so terrible that her

Yara sat in the quiet living room, fiddling nervously with the hem of her skirt. It had been two days since Damian had left the mansion. He didn't say anything, just left after throwing a tantrum because his mother was missing. The atmosphere in the mansion felt strange without Damian. The servants walked cautiously, as if afraid that Damian's shadow was still lurking even though he wasn't home. Yara's curiosity began to grow. What exactly was going on with Damian's mother? Why was Damian so angry that everyone was scared just by hearing his voice? She stood up from the sofa and walked to the kitchen, where the servants usually gathered. Sure enough, there were two servants talking while washing dishes. When Yara walked in, they immediately fell silent, looking down as usual. "Hey," Yara called in a casual tone, trying not to look intimidating. "Let me ask you something." The two waitresses looked at each other, hesitating. "What do you want to ask, Miss?" one of them finally sp

  • The Devil’s Embrace   Chapter 19

On a small, deserted street, a woman with matted hair and shabby clothes walked without direction. Her face was dirty, her eyes wild, chuckling while talking to herself. That was Madame Dania. After years of being locked in a secret room in Damian's mansion, she was now free, but that freedom did not bring her peace. "Hahaha... they think they can stop me," Dania muttered in a high tone, her eyes glancing into the air as if someone was there. "Felix... Felix, where are you? I'll show you... me... I'm better than anyone..." Her steps stopped in the middle of the road, just as a car sped up. The driver honked loudly, but Dania just laughed, not moving at all. "BUK!" Dania's body bounced onto the asphalt, as a man got out of the car and screamed. "Oh my God! What did I do?" The man ran over, his face pale at the sight of the woman's body lying in front of him. But as he got closer and saw her face more clearly, the man was stunned. "Dania...?" he whispered. His hand trembled as

Damian stood in the living room of the mansion, his anger already at its peak. The doctor in charge of tracking his mother's whereabouts stood before him with a pale face, clutching a folder with trembling hands. "It's been a week!" Damian shouted, his voice echoing throughout the room. "A week! And you still haven't found my mother! Are you all this useless?" "T-Lord Damian... we've tried s-everything, but-" Damian didn't let the doctor finish his sentence. He strode forward, grabbed the doctor by the collar, and brutally shoved him against the wall. "Don't give me excuses!" hissed Damian with eyes full of rage. His large hands grabbed the doctor by the neck, pushing him until he could hardly breathe. "You know what it would mean if I lost my mom forever, huh?!" The doctor could only stammer, his face red from lack of air. The bodyguards standing by the door looked at each other, none daring to step forward to stop Damian. Everyone knew how dangerous it would be to try to fight

  • The Devil’s Embrace   Chapter 21

Damian sat in the dark and silent study, illuminated only by the dim light of the desk lamp. His face was tense, his eyes red from lack of sleep over the past week. The phone on his desk rang, but after hearing the voices of his team members on the other end only to announce yet another failure, Damian threw the phone against the wall. The phone shattered into a million pieces."Dogs all!" Damian growled under his breath, his hands clenched into fists until his knuckles turned white. He stared blankly at the table, his mind haunted by the image of his missing mother. From behind the door, Yara peeked out cautiously. The girl bit her lip, trying to decide whether she should go in or not. But after seeing Damian slumped over in despair, she took a deep breath and ventured into the room. "Damian," Yara called softly as she approached. Damian didn't answer. He only looked up briefly before looking down again, ignoring Yara's presence."If you continue like this, you'll get sick," Yara

The next day, Damian sat in the living room with a glass of wine in his hand. His eyes were dreamy, his mind dark, full of anger and bitter memories. Felix. The name kept haunting his mind. All the old wounds he had tried to bury all this time came rushing back. And now, in front of her was Yara, that girl. Yara's eyes, her smile, even the way she looked-all reminded Damian of the man who had ruined his mother's life. Yara, who had been standing by the door, watched Damian. She knew he was deep in thought, but she didn't care. If this was her way of conquering the monster, then she would do it. With slow steps, Yara approached, wearing a simple dress that accentuated her curves. "Damian," she called softly. "Why are you sitting here alone? You look... different." Damian looked up, his eyes sharp, full of suspicion. "What do you want, Yara?" Yara smiled a little, then sat down next to him uninvited. She touched Damian's arm lightly. "I just wanted to know what you were thinking. Y

Damian sat on the sofa with his breathing becoming more regular, though his face still looked dark. The wine in his glass was placed unceremoniously on the table, no longer attracting his attention. Yara, who was still sitting next to him, watched carefully. This is a chance to know more, she thought. If she could understand Damian's wounds, maybe she could find a way to conquer the man."Damian," Yara called slowly, making sure her voice didn't provoke any more emotions. "I want to know something. About... Mrs. Dania. What exactly happened to her?"Damian turned his head quickly, his gaze piercing. There was doubt in his eyes, but Yara held that look, waiting for his answer."You want to know about my mother?" Damian asked in a low voice, almost a whisper. Yara nodded slowly. "You said she's been sick for eighteen years. That's a long time, Damian. I just... want to understand. What made her like that?"Damian sighed heavily, his body leaning back against the couch. Damian sat in a large chair behind his dark wooden desk. One hand rubbed his temple, while the other clutched the half-filled whiskey glass. In front of him, Hugo stood tall, his face serious as ever. "It's been a month, sir," Hugo said quietly, "and still no word of Madame Dania." Damian was silent for a moment, staring blankly at the surface of the table. His jaw hardened before he gulped down the rest of his drink in one gulp. "Continue the search. I don't care how much it costs, how many people we have to mobilize. I want my mother back." His voice was deep, full of firmness. Hugo nodded. "Yes, sir. But... there is one other matter that needs to be discussed." Damian turned his head, giving his assistant a sharp look. "What?" Hugo seemed to hesitate for a moment, but finally said, "About Felix Lucano." Behind the slightly opened door, Yara stood still. At first, she was just passing by and was about to return to her room. However, when she heard that name, her steps

Yara looked at her reflection in the mirror. The dark blue dress fit her perfectly, but her thoughts were far from clothes. She wanted to know about Felix Lucano. However, it was difficult because Yara was completely confined. Damian suddenly walked into the room, giving Yara a small gasp. "Get ready. We're going out today," he said as he leaned against the door. Yara frowned. "Out?" Damian nodded, his eyes scanning Yara from head to toe. "You've been cooped up in here for months. I think you need some fresh air." "Are you afraid of me running away?" Yara asked in a teasing tone, trying to hide her nervousness. Damian only smiled slightly. "You won't be able to run away from me, Yara." Yara and Damian arrived at a luxurious shopping center in the heart of the city. The crystal chandeliers sparkled. Yara let out a long breath, enjoying the sensation of freedom even though she knew it was false. Damian walked beside her, hands in his pants pockets, occasionally turning to

A few days later, liquor bottles littered the floor. The room was a mess, full of documents that Damian had thrown around. Cigarette smoke still billowed in the air, signaling how chaotic his mind was at the moment. Damian sat in a chair with his head bowed, his fingers clutching a glass that was almost empty. His eyes were red, his face crumpled. A few days of no sleep and a lot of alcohol made him look like a man on the verge of losing his mind. The door opened. Hugo entered with a serious expression, but upon seeing Damian's state, he could only let out a long sigh. "Sir, you need to stop like this," Hugo said, taking the bottle from Damian's hand. Damian raised his head slowly, staring at Hugo with a sharp gaze. "You think I can relax, huh? Yara's still out there, probably being tortured, probably..." Damian stopped, his jaw hardening. He couldn't imagine the worst-case scenario. Hugo tried to remain calm. "We're still looking, sir. Ricardo is too cunning. He doesn't use

Damian stood by his mother's bedside, his eyes still fixed on her pale face. However, his reverie was broken when his cell phone vibrated in his coat pocket. With a quick movement, he pulled out the phone and looked at the name on the screen. One of the servants at the mansion. "What is it?" Damian's voice was cold, slightly impatient. "Sir, it's an emergency," the servant's voice sounded panicked. "Miss Yara... she's not at the mansion. We've searched the entire area, but-" Damian immediately gripped his cell phone tightly. "What do you mean no one?" "We believed she was still in her room since morning. But when we checked again, it was empty. It looks like she ran away, sir." Damian's breathing became heavy. His jaw hardened. "Asshole. That little girl is really looking for trouble."Without another word, Damian immediately switched off the call. His hands clenched into fists, his temper peaking. "Hugo," his voice was sharp and deadly. Hugo, who was standing in the

Yara only realized something was wrong when her breathing became heavy. Her vision began to blur, her head felt unusually dizzy. She tried to move her legs, but her body relaxed instantly. She raised her hand to her neck, feeling something strange. "You... What are you doing...?" her voice was soft. The man smiled wryly, his eyes flashing triumphantly. "I'm just helping you rest for a bit, Miss Yara." Yara tried to back away, but her body was losing strength. The world around her began to spin. The man was still looking at her with a triumphant gaze. "Damn..." That was the last word that escaped her lips before everything turned dark. ***When Yara came to, her head felt heavy, her eyes hard to open. Slowly, she tried to move her body, but something held her back. Both her hands were tied behind the chair, as well as her legs. She gasped, immediately opening her eyes. The room was dark, lit only by a dim lamp in the corner. The smell of dust and iron filled her nose. Her

Yara was now walking carefully through the city streets. She managed to get out of the mansion without being spotted. Yara still wanted to find information about Felix Lucano. Although the man was like a shadow-not easy to find, as if the man had deliberately eliminated his traces. Yara sat on a park bench after almost two hours of searching for information. Her hands were busy on her phone, typing Felix Lucano's name into a search engine, but nothing came up. All that came up was old information about his company, Lucano Group, with no news of his current whereabouts. "Where should I look for you, Felix," she muttered in frustration. Yara bit her lip, resisting the urge to give up. After all, this was about the past of the man she said was her biological father. Yara closed her eyes for a moment, recalling how her mother had always avoided talking about Felix. If only her mother wasn't sick anymore, maybe Yara could have urged her mother to tell her about Felix Lucano. Someon

That morning, Damian and Yara sat at the dining table, enjoying breakfast. Yara seemed calm, occasionally stirring her coffee while glancing at Hugo who seemed busy with his cell phone. However, the calmness did not last long. Hugo's face suddenly turned serious after receiving an incoming message. He read the message carefully before finally raising his head, looking at Damian who had just arrived and sat in his chair. "Sir, we have news about Mrs. Dania.Damian, who was pouring coffee, immediately stopped his movements. He turned his head with a sharp gaze. "What?" "She was found in one of the hospitals outside the city. She is still in a coma," Hugo explained in a calm voice, but there was tension in his tone. The cup Damian was holding almost fell over, but he managed to control himself. "Who's taking care of her?""A man named Ferdo," Hugo continued. "He paid for Madame Dania's care all these years."Damian narrowed his eyes, his mind instantly filled with suspicion. "Fe

Damian was silent. His eyes lingered on Yara's face as she stared at him with conviction. She had just said something he shouldn't have heard-something he had been avoiding. "What did you say?" his voice sounded flat, but his eyes held a lot of emotion. Yara looked at him without hesitation. "I love you, Damian," she repeated clearly. Damian blinked once, then suddenly chuckled. His laughter sounded faint, like something he didn't really enjoy. He looked at Yara as if she had just said something ridiculous. "Love?" Damian repeated the word, as if to make sure he hadn't misheard. "Little girl, you don't know what you're saying." Yara kept her gaze on him, undaunted. "I know exactly what I'm saying." Damian smiled wryly. In an instant, his hands were wrapped around Yara's waist, pulling the girl closer. Before Yara could react, Damian's lips were already crushing hers in an intense way-full of passion, but also with frustration in them. Yara was surprised, but didn't resis

As the bedroom door closed, Damian looked at Yara with questioning eyes. "What do you plan to do now, my little girl?" Yara smiled meaningfully, then quickly pulled Damian's hands above her head. "Shhh... this time, let me take back control." Before Damian could protest, Yara had already tied his wrists with the tie she had just removed. Damian stared at the girl with raised eyebrows, a faint smile forming at the corner of his lips. "You want to play like this?" his voice was low, full of interest. Yara just smiled, then without hesitation she lowered her head, letting her lips trail gently down Damian's neck. "I wonder what it would be like if King Mafia couldn't do anything." Damian chuckled softly, but his breathing grew heavy as Yara continued down, her lips trailing along his jaw, then to his collarbone. Her free fingers brush against his skin, creating a tantalizing sensation that makes Damian stiffen. "Yara..." his voice trembled slightly, not from fear, but from th

In Damian's office, it was nine in the morning. Damian sat in his chair with an unpredictable expression. Hugo stood across the desk, looking at his boss with a meaningful gaze. "Mr. Damian, you've been sighing since earlier. Is there a problem?" asked Hugo as he folded his arms across his chest. Damian twirled the pen in his fingers, his gaze blank. "I don't know, Hugo. I think I'm going crazy." Hugo frowned. "Crazy how, sir?" Damian sighed again, longer this time. "I feel like I'm falling in love with Yara." Hugo looked at him with an incredulous expression, then shook his head. "Oh my, Mr. Damian. Do you realize what you just said?" Damian leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling. "I realize. And it sucks." Hugo chuckled, though there was a sardonic tone in it. "What about your grudge, sir? Have you forgotten your original purpose?" Damian was silent for a moment. His eyes hardened, but there was conflict in them. "I haven't forgotten, Hugo. I want him to f

Damian had just entered the mansion with calm steps. After a full day of dark business, his body felt a little tired, but his mind was still sharp. Hugo followed behind him, giving a brief report before finally leaving Damian alone. As Damian entered his room, his gaze immediately fell on Yara who was fast asleep on the bed. Her breathing was regular, her face looking peaceful under the light of the nightlight. Damian stood at the edge of the bed, staring at the girl unconsciously flashing a small smile. "Damn, why am I getting attracted to her?"Damian sighed, rubbing his face for a moment. Sure, Yara was originally just a tool for his revenge on Felix. But now? With each passing day, he became more and more unsure of his original intentions. She had wanted to wake Yara up, wanted to pull the girl into her arms, wanted to feel the warmth that had recently become addictive. But seeing Yara sleeping like that, he couldn't bear it. Damian finally moved to leave, but just as he t
