Chapter 22: The Accident

"What do these things mean to me. I can't explain the wonders I've witnessed. Why me.! Why do I even have to go through this?"

Sam's eyes were sad as she peered out the window of their house.

The event before she came home ..

"Sam, baby ..!" Her mother called to run to Sam and Sam's eyes were sad as she looked at her worried mother and as she fainted lying on the soft bed.

"Mom, how you...?" Sam stopped to speak.

"They called me to the phone I quickly went here. What happened to you, huh? Is something wrong with you? What happened? Please tell me my dear...!" Her mother burst into tears as she stared into Sam's eyes.

"I'm ok now mom and I'm not in pain so don't worry." Sam replied politely.

Her mother grabbed her hand and looked at it in Samantha's hands.

"What's this Sam? Why do you have scratches on your hands? What's this baby? Who did this to you, huh !?" Her mother repeatedly asked to see traces of scratches on Sam's hands.

"I don't know mom, it wasn't like that before." Sam replied to her mother.

Sam stood up from lying down with her hands resting on the soft bed she was lying on to support her so she could sit up properly. Vince and her mother help her to sit up.

"Mom, I'm fainting. I want to go home mommy I'm tired ..." Sam said to her mother in a low voice.

"Okay sweety let's go home, okay!" Her mom replied.

"Ah... Vince, please help my daughter going to the car." Sam's mother please.

Without hesitation, Vince immediately lifted Samantha slowly. They said goodbye to the doctor and staff who were at the clinic before walking out the door.

Sam's mother went to the doctor.

"Doc, thank you very much. I'll take my daughter home first." Sam's mother politely told the doctor to leave.

While walking to the car there were students already staring at them. Sam just closes her eyes because she is shy and she is not used to being looked at by everyone.

"Leave them alone and ignore them." Vince told her.

Vince continued to walk as she carried Sam.

"Vince, thank you. You're always by my side and you never leave me." Sam smiled after thanking Vince.

Vince couldn't look at her at that time and she might even stumble on the road. Her mother was already in the distance. Vince walked first and Sam's mother was caught.

"I thought I couldn't leave that place." Sam said sadly.

"Place? What place?" Vince asked.

"It's hard to explain, Vince. It's a dark and scary place. From that dark and scary place I heard your voice so I followed it but many other bad things happened to me there Vince. I was very hurt for hours. I thought I would never see you again, I thought I would never be able to leave that scary place! "Sam's speech suddenly stopped when they got in the car. Vince lowered her slowly before opening the car door.

"Stop thinking about the bad things that happened to you and it might only get worse for you. The important thing is that you're safe and you're back in your body. I think you're the one the demon in the tree house wants to take. He's discouraging you Sam and he's playing with you. When you weaken yourself completely, the devil will start taking over your spirit. " Vince was very worried about Sam.

"What can I do to make him let me go.?" Slowly Sam's tears dripped as she spoke in front of Vince who seemed worried and scared.

Vince hugged Sam and there was a trace of concern on Vince's face."

"Vince let go of the hug when he noticed Sam's mother heading towards their whereabouts.

"Don't worry Sam I won't let the demon get you!"

Tears welled up in Sam's eyes again as she didn't expect Vince to be so worried about her that she could protect her.

"Thank you Vince! I'm so thankful and you're always by my side." Sam stared into Vince's eyes.

Suddenly Sam's mother approached them.

"What's going on here?" Sam's mother asked them.

"Ah, nothing ma'am. I'm just saying goodbye to Sam. Sam, I'm leaving ...!" Sam just smiled at Vince and Vince returned smile.

"Thank you for carrying my daughter Vince, and for watching over her. I hear you're always by Sam's side when something bad happens to her." Sam's mother said that she was very pleased with Vince.

"As a friend of Sam i'm always ready to protect her." Vince said to Sam's mother.

Vince walked away after saying goodbye to Sam.

 Sam's mother, who was driving, also got in the car because Sam's father was not there at that time.

Ma'am ...?"

"Yes baby, what is it?"

Sam was suddenly stunned. She wanted to tell her mother everything that had happened to her since they moved to that place.

"Nothing mom ..!" Sam replied to her mother.

As they were traveling home in a car, an accident occurred.

"Krrriiiing ...! Krrriiiiiiiing .....!" Phone ringing.

"Mom, your phone is ringing, maybe daddy is calling!"

Her mother immediately took her phone while one hand was on the monibela but when she was about to pick up the phone, a large truck suddenly greeted them.

"Mom .........!" Sam shouted.

"Ahhhhhhhh .....!" Only her mother shouted before their car collided with the big truck.

She and her mother were bloody in the accident. Sam's mother fainted. Sam looked at the side of the truck where the driver was but she was shocked to see no one inside the truck. No trace of anyone.

She turned to the right side of the car and she  saw the black shadow standing as if looking at Sam. Sam suddenly fainted after she saw the black shadow.

Some people came and helped them to get them to the hospital. The mother and daughter were bloody and unconscious.

In a dark place Sam could see when she opened her eyes.

"Mom, mommy where are you.?"

"Sam, baby ...?" Her mother voice.

"Mom ...!" Sam shouted making noise around.

Sam followed her mother's voice.

"Samantha, baby come to mommy."

"Mommy, where are you? I'm scared."

"Please show up ..., mom please ....! I'm really scared here."

Sam sat down as she looked around the dark surroundings where she was. She closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes again, the surroundings suddenly lit up. Her mother appeared in front of her wearing a white dress and her mother was also accompanied by a grandmother of Sam who was her father’s mother.

"Mom? .Lola?" Sam was thrilled to see her mother and her grandmother.

Sam cried with tears in her eyes and she also felt the joy in her heart because she felt that she was not alone.

"Sam, we love you so much ..! I love you so much sweety." Her mother's said

"I know mom and I love you so much too."  Sam said.

"Sam, be brave in everything that happens to you or your life." Her grandmother spoke to her.

"Be strong, Sweety. You'll always remember that we've always been by your side." Her mother said and suddenly Sam hugged her mother and grandmother.

When she hugged her mother and her grandmother, she suddenly closed her eyes as her tears flowed. When she opened her eyes she suddenly woke up from her bed. She looked around and on the left side with the chair was her grandmother sleeping.

"Grandma ...! Grandma ...!" Sam cried out in weakness because her whole body was still weak.

The old man awoke from sleep.

Her grandmother was happy to see that she was awake.

"Ohh, Sam you're awake!" Her grandmother cried.

"Grandma, where's mommy?" Sam immediately asked her grandmother.

The old man did not answer immediately.

The door opened and Samantha's father entered. As Sam's father approached her bed her father kissed her on the forehead.

"Hi baby, Thank's god and you're awake! Are you still in pain?"

"My wounds just hurt dad, but I'm okay so don't worry about me."

Her father was restless as if he wanted to say something.

"Dad, where's mom? Why isn't she here? Where's mom, dad?

Suddenly Sam's grandmother whispered something to her father.

"Let's talk outside." The old man whispered to Sam's father.

Her grandmother came out of the room first.

"Sam, I'll leave you here first.  I'll just talk to your grandmother." Her father say goodbye to her before he leaves the room.

"How can you explain to her what happened that her mother is gone. Sam will be hurt so much when she finds out that her mother is gone." The old woman said. There was sadness in their eyes.

"It's up to me to explain to her, mom. The loss of her mother is also painful for us. It's too painful as a husband to do nothing to save her and her mother." Sam's father's tears began to flow until she just hit the wall with his self -pity.

Inside the room where Sam was there was a trace of silence inside. Sam looked around as if she was feeling something strange. She was nervous and scared. Some time later the light in the room suddenly went out.

Sam could not move or scream loudly due to the injury sustained to her body.

"Dad .....! Grandma ...!" She shouted but was very weak.

She was so scared of those moments.

On the right side where the window was Sam caught a glimpse of it. There was a standing shadow but it suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of her. The shadow grabbed her by the foot and in her extreme fear she dropped the objects placed on the table on the side of her bed so there was a noise.

"What's that?" The old man asked in shock.

"Sam ..!" Suddenly her father said.

Her grandmother and her father immediately entered the room. When they entered, suddenly there was a light inside and Sam's father just saw that she was sitting and scattered the belongings on the floor that fell from the table.

"Sam, .what happened here.? Why did they spread.?"

"Dad, he's here ...! He's here ..! He's here .... dad!"

"Who?" Her father asked.

Her father inspected the area but saw nothing.

"There's no one here but us." Her father spoke again.

"I feel like he's here ..! The black shadow in the tree house, dad.! He's a devil ..! He wants to take me!" Sam was already crying as she spoke and she was still crying so her grandmother hugged her.

"I want to see Mommy, please I want to see my mom ..! I don't want to be alone I'm scared grandma! Where is mommy.?" Sam groaned in tears.

"I'm sorry Sam but your mommy is dead. She didn't survive the accident." Her father sadly explained as his tears began to flow.

"No..!no ....... !She's not dead ...! I can't believe my mom is dead..! My mommy is still alive.!" Sam continued to cry as her grandmother hugged her.

"Sam, that's enough. Stop it! We can do nothing but accept what happened." The old woman said in tears.

Sam cries when she remembers what happened before. She still stared out the window as she thought of the sad moment that had befallen her.

"Sam, are you alright?" Her grandmother asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay grandma. I'm just thinking."

"Maybe, you haven't forgotten the accident that happened."Her grandmother said.

Sam was suddenly silent for a few seconds.

"I just miss mommy, grandma. I miss her so much!"

"Me too, I miss her too but she hasn't disappeared from our hearts and minds so just think that your mommy is always by your side to protect you." Her grandmother smiled and Sam smiled too.
