AVA'S POV.

I woke up at the hospital, and my head was still spinning. I tried to stand up from the bed but a sharp pain in my head sent me back down.

Anna walked in just in time, she was holding two cups of coffee. “Ava you are awake,” she smiled, walking closer.

“Hey,” I said, trying to sit up.

“Oh,” she muttered, dropping the coffee on the bedside table and helping me up.

“What happened?” I questioned, holding my aching head. “The last thing I remember was asking that guy to back off.”

It has been almost a month since the rape incident happened, and I couldn't bring myself to tell Jennifer and Arthur had completely abandoned me.

All I could rely on was Anna, she took me around the city and different parties just to get my thoughts off the guilt, pain and rejection that filled my heart.

“You fainted,” she explained. “You are lucky that wasn't some rough party, someone brought you here.”

“Who?” I frowned.

“A cute guy,” she smiled, handing me a cup of coffee. “The doctors said

ARTHUR'S POV.I sat quietly on my chair in my office, trying to take my mind off work a little, but the clicking of Elena's heels made it difficult for me to concentrate. She moved back and forth across the office. Her face was etched with anxiety as she bit her fingers. Finally, she stopped, folding her arms tightly. “Why aren’t you worried, Arthur?” she demanded. “How can you sit there so calm when everything is falling apart?”I leaned back, my eyes fixed on her as I tapped my fingers on the table. She of all people should know the answer to that, the elders can't do much, taking me off the throne would require more trouble than leaving me on it and this was something known to everyone. “The elders aren't fools, you figure out the rest.”Her eyes narrowed. “Really? You have heard what Oliver’s been doing, haven’t you? Half the council already supports him. He’s twisting everything against you. And you’re sitting there acting like it doesn’t matter?”I nodded slowly. “Let his sch

AVA'S POV.The forest was silent, except for the whisper of the wind threading through the trees. My wolf's ears twitched as the cool air carried a faint scent, earthy, musky, undeniably him. Arthur. My heart beat loudly in my chest as panic surged through me as his massive form emerged from the shadows. Even in his wolf form, his presence was scary, sleek fur, sharp golden eyes, and an aura of dominance that made every nerve in my body scream danger. This was the Devil Alpha. His pack was known for ruthlessly eliminating impure wolves like me. He saw me.I froze, my breath caught in my throat as his gaze pinned me in place. Slowly, he began to shift. Bones cracked, fur receded, and within moments, there stood Arthur in his human form. His chiseled frame gleamed under the moonlight, his expression unreadable but his eyes…those piercing eyes…held a power… unmistakably hatred, that made me shrink back.I tried to shift back into my human form. My mind screamed for the change, but my b

AVA'S POV.Arthur sat in the living room, his legs crossed as he patiently waited for my mother to come downstairs. It had been two days since the encounter in the woods, I couldn't help but wonder if he had finally come here to kill me or wanted an explanation on why my mother kept me despite knowing the rules. “Wait in your room until I call for you,” she instructed. I hesitated, wanting to eavesdrop, but her stern expression left no room for argument. I nodded and retreated to my small room, closing the door behind me.I paced in my room, my mind racing. What could they be talking about? Arthur didn’t look like a man on a mission to kill, but that didn’t mean he hadn’t come to destroy what was left of my life. I walked to the door placing my head on the door, my hearing senses weren't as sharp as other wolves, I could only hear things close to me and they were downstairs, it didn't matter how much I tried, I wouldn't still get what I wanted. Minutes felt like hours before the s

AVA'S POV.The days after Arthur’s visit were anything but peaceful. His words stayed with me, repeating in my mind like an echo. I couldn’t forget the way he had begged me, the pain in his voice and eyes. It was so different from the Arthur I thought I knew. But my mother made it worse, always pushing me to see his side, making it look like I was the problem. Arthur raped me, why aren't we talking about that? Why are we talking about why I rejected him, not how it started?“You are being difficult, Ava,” she said, arms crossed as she leaned on the counter, her voice filled with frustration like she had said this too many times. “Arthur wouldn’t have come here to beg if he didn’t mean every word.”I sighed, stirring my tea without looking up. “It’s not that easy, Mom. Maybe he loves me, but what about the baby? What kind of life will they have if the pack rejects me?”“Arthur would protect you,” she reassured me. “Take it from someone who worked in the pack, I know Arthur, the pack

Arthur’s POVI was talking with Amelia when my phone rang. Her laugh trailed off when she saw the way I froze, staring at the screen.“What’s wrong?” she asked, tilting her head.“It’s Ava,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.“Ava? The Ava?” Amelia asked, her voice filled with disbelief.“Yes,” I muttered, picking up the phone. My heart raced. Ava never called.“Hello?” I said cautiously.“Arthur, let’s get married.”The words hit me like a thunderbolt. “What?” I blurted, unable to believe I had heard her right. But she didn’t repeat herself. The line went dead before I could say anything else.I stared at my phone for a moment, my mind drawing a blank. Did she really say that? Could she have meant it?“Arthur, what is it?” Amelia asked, her brows furrowing as she tried to read my expression.“She said…” My voice trailed off as I tried to process. “She said she wants to get married.”Amelia’s jaw dropped. “Ava said that? After everything?”I nodded slowly, still unsure if I had

ARTHUR'S POV.The grand doors of the palace stood tall ahead. I didn’t slow down as I shoved them open. A deep rumble echoed as the doors parted. Behind me, Amelia followed quietly behind me. Inside, the council room was filled with low voices. The Elders sat around the long, curved table, their faces serious. The room was full, packed with important wolves from every corner of the pack. At the head of the table, where I used to sit, sat Oliver. He lounged in my chair, trying to look in charge. But as I entered, his confidence cracked just a little. His eyes flickered with unease. The second I stepped inside, the voices stopped. The room fell silent immediately, Everyone turned to me. My boots thudded against the marble floor as I strode to the center.“What’s going on here?” I demanded, my voice filled with venom. I didn’t look at anyone but Oliver, who sat there pretending he wasn’t intimidated. Amelia stayed by the door, arms crossed, watching everything.Elder Hargrove, the olde

ARTHUR'S POV.The hall was packed and buzzing with whispers. Wolves from every rank in the pack filled the room, their voices low and filled with worry. On one side of the hall, the Elders sat in their robes, their faces serious and stiff. On the other side, the pack members stood together, their emotions clear, some hopeful, others angry.I walked forward, my boots making a loud sound on the stone floor. The noise made people turn in my direction. Beside me, Amelia moved quietly, her sharp eyes scanning the room. At the front was Oliver, a grin spread across his face, looking as smug as ever. The way the Elders looked at him, full of approval, only made him seem more pleased with himself.Elder Hargrove, slowly stood up, darting his eyes to everyone in the room before turning to me. I don't know what Oliver might have done to make the elders turn into a bastard child but I would make all of them regret their decision.“Today, the pack gathers to decide its future. • The Devil Alpha And I    Chapter 16

ARTHUR'S POVThe hall was filled with noise as everyone stared at Ava. Of course, no one has seen me with a lady before, most of the women I have slept with, I either met them in a bar or at a party and everyone knew it always ended there. Elder Hargrove cleared his throat and called for silence. Ava stood in the center, her hands nervously resting on her stomach. The Elders exchanged confused glances. Another Elder finally spoke. “This is a serious matter. If she is truly carrying your heir, Arthur, we must verify it. Bring in the pack doctor.”Ava’s eyes met mine, and I nodded, reassuring her that everything was fine. She remained composed, though I could sense the tension in her. Amelia, standing to my left, smirked faintly, knowing we were winning this fight.Moments later, the doctor entered. He carried his equipment bag and offered a respectful bow to me before approaching Ava.“This won’t take long,” he assured her.A hush fell over the room as the doctor conducted his exami

Ava’s POVI stormed out of the room, my fists clenched in anger. I have heard enough of this, if my mother wanted to get revenge then it is best she does it by herself.“Ava! Wait!” she called. Her hurried footsteps grew louder, but I didn’t slow down. Why was it always this way with her? Why couldn’t she ever trust me to make my own decisions? I’d barely made it halfway down the corridor when her hand grabbed my arm, stopping me in my tracks.“Ava,” she said, her tone pleading. “Please, listen to me.”I spun around, jerking her hand off as I glared up at her. “Listen to you? That’s all I ever do, Mother! And where has it gotten me?” My voice trembled with anger.“Ava, listen to me, have I ever done anything to put you in danger?” She asked. I scoffed, shaking my head in disbelief, tears flowing down my cheeks. “Then why start now?” I asked, tears choking most of the words in my throat. “I am not using you to get revenge, Ava,” she explained. ““Please,” I pleaded. “Just leave mum,

Hope she wasn't here to cause trouble. My mother has completely changed, it was like all she wanted was to evict Lady Eleanor and she was using me. I walked into the room, sighting my mother sitting down on a sofa, sipping her tea, she turned to me. “Mother,” I called, walking closer to her. “What are you doing here?”She glanced behind me, as though expecting someone else…of course she was expecting Arthur to come along too. “Why isn't Arthur with you?” She asked, dropping the tea cup on the table. “He is busy,” I frowned, folding my hands under my breasts. “Why do you want to see him?”“Why do I feel like you are not happy to see me?” She asked, a faint smile playing on her lips. “Of course, I am happy to see my mother,” I defended. “But I am not happy to see the new you.”“The new me?”I nodded, taking in deep breaths. “Mum you have changed, what happene

Ava’s POVThe castle corridors were eerily quiet as I walked toward Lady Eleanor's quarters. The cold air brushed through my face. My mind is clouded with unsettling thoughts wondering what Lady Eleanor has laid down for me. Everyone was really worried, Lady Eleanor was a woman everyone knew no one dared, I was just a nobody, unworthy to stand close to her. I had been summoned to an elders' meeting, but there was something I needed to address first. It was better to lessen Lady Eleanor's anger before standing before the court. As I turned the corner, her maid appeared at the other end of the hallway. Her face was pale. “Hey,” I stopped her. “Where is Lady Eleanor?”“She is in her room,” she replied, her head down to the floor. “Can you take me there?” The girl paused, biting her lips, darting her eyes left and right as though she was confused. “Is there a problem?” I questioned, my brows furrowed in curiosity as I studied her. “Lady Eleanor said that she doesn't want anyone t

Author's pov. Elena made her way through the dark forest, her cloak covering her face and body, perfectly concealing her identity. The moon cast a faint light through the trees, owls heard in the distance Ahead, she could see the cave. She took in deep breaths, looking around to make sure no one was following her. As Elena stepped closer, she could feel someone was watching from the shadows. This forest was known as a dark forest, and this was the only place the black witch and Oliver could run to after Arthur invaded their home. She got to the cave, the flickering lights of the touches placed firmly on the rock, this was no ordinary cave. She stopped at the entrance, but there was no turning back now. Taking a deep breath, she stepped inside. The witch stood in the center of the cave, her cold eyes turning to Elena the moment she entered. “You shouldn’t have come here,” the witch said, her voice filled with venom. Elena opened her mouth to speak, but before she could, the witch

ARTHUR'S POV. I remained calm, my face showing no expression as I darted my eyes between the stranger and Lady Eleanor. Lady Eleanor's lips into a satisfied smile as she turned to the stranger, nodding her head in approval. “Jennifer adopted Ava when she was little, she kept Ava despite knowing what would happen if people found out…” Lady Eleanor interrupted the man. “She knew of the consequences, yet she did it, that only shows that I was right, Jennifer is not to be trusted.”I remained silent, my fists clenched tightly, Mt piercing glare still on the man. “Arthur,” Lady Eleanor called softly, holding my hands. “I know you are shocked, but I was shocked too, I didn't expect her to be not only evil but she was impure…a curse to the throne.”“Who is this man?” I demanded, turning my eyes to Lady Eleanor. *Does it matter?” She frowned. “What matters is that he has been working for me for years and he has always been a reliable source.”“Always at your service,” he said, bowing.

AVA'S POV. I watched Amelia stare at her phone for a while, biting her lips anxiously. I intentionally threw a stone on the ground to get her attention but she didn't even flinch when the stone flew in between her legs. What the fuck is wrong with her? What was so important that she had to leave me in the sun?Arthur insisted that Amelia give me the tour of the Luna mansion, why it was the Luna mansion and my duties in the mansion. I already have so much on the table, Arthur's actions last night only made matters worse for me, I knew Lady Eleanor wouldn't let me off easily. Honestly, keeping a low profile would have been the best, as long as no eyes were on me, and no one would find out I was an impure wolf, but now it seems that I have gotten more fans and stalkers than Arthur. If this continues, it won't take long before everyone finds out my secret, I just hope my child will be safe. “Please take your father's genes,” I muttered rubbing my belly. “Okay,” Amelia blurted out,

ARTHUR'S POV. I turned to Charles, sharing understanding glances, before turning to the angry elders in front. I took in deep breaths placing my hands in my pockets. “You guys found out?” I asked, acting like I wanted them to find out. “Who wouldn't hear such an act?” The first Elder scoffed. “We don't even know anything about this Ava, yet we accepted her.”“You accepted her because you had no choice,” I chipped in, a faint smile playing on my lips. “We trust your decision, she might be the best person to be the Luna but don't you think it is a bit bold to disrespect Lady Eleanor?” The second Elder frowned, exchanging quick glances at each other. It was almost as if they had rehearsed everything as they wanted each other to speak. “C'mon, we heard that Lady Eleanor slapped her,” Charles defended. “None of us have more power than the Luna but I am sure if Lady Eleanor acted impulsively towards us, our attitude would have still been the same way.”The first Elder scoffed, his fac

ARTHUR'S POV. I sat quietly on my chair staring at the documents on my table, my mind clouded with unsettling thoughts. We still had no idea where Oliver was or who he was working with and if Amelia was in league with the witch. She was a witch after all and she was the only witch I knew of that was working with a werewolf. Charles sat across the table, he was on the phone with the Gamma. I had deployed men around the city, checking around for any sign of Oliver or anyone who looked suspicious. “Call me when you find something,” Charles finally said before dropping his phone. “Our men are everywhere and Amelia has talked to the witches in town, they would report anyone that they find practicing black magic.”“Do you trust Amelia?” I blurted out, slowly turning to him. “Do you trust her?” I repeated. He paused, flickering his eyes away for a brief moment before turning to me. “Elena doesn't like witches in the first place and she and Oliver were always on each other's neck…”I

  • The Devil Alpha And I    Chapter 36

Ava's POVI paced around my room, biting my fingers in fear, my heart beating loudly in my chest, sweat glistening on my forehead. I still couldn't believe I slapped Lady Eleanor. She might have overstepped her boundaries but I shouldn't have reacted that way, maybe if I hadn't stepped in to help that maid, I wouldn't have gotten into trouble. I stopped staring back at myself in the mirror. This was ridiculous. So what if I was the Luna? Lady Eleanor was a thousand times better than me, maybe I was the one who forgot their place. I am just an impure wolf that magically became a Luna overnight. Lady Eleanor was the late alpha's sister, she was like a mother to Arthur. I couldn't help but wonder how Arthur would react if he found out what I did to his aunt, he definitely wouldn't let it go. I just hope I will be able to face the punishment. The door flung open immediately, Arthur walked in, and his worried face immediately flickered to curiosity as our eyes met. I felt my throat
