Mia's povThe walk to the boarder was excruciatingly slow. Dad kept complaining, coming up with really annoying theories on why they had come. But I think the most ridiculous one yet was "I know for a fact they are here to steal you again, they can't be trusted. They might be from your biological mother's side but I will always come first. I'm your papa, I raised you, only I know how to protect you" he'd said and I just rolled my eyes. "Looking a little insecure dad" I whispered and he gasp, dramatically, stopping to put his hands on his waste. "Expressing dislike for people that kidnapped you is not being insecure!" he exclaimed and I just rolled my eyes and kept walking. "I can't wait to be proven right, these people just can't be trusted, I feel it in my bones. It's my Gamma instincts" he mumbled as we kept walking. "Oh my fucking Goddess, Mika! If you don't shut up right the fuck now, I will shut you up for the rest of the week!" Aunt Kenya finally exploded and I sighed in rel
Trevor's povGetting everyone settled was fairly easy, provided that aunt Amanda, Britney and the omegas did the hard work of getting the house ready for our... guests? No, they were not guests, they were here to stay. Part of the pack. I wasn't sure how the pack would react to all of this but those that saw us as we were moving them in held looks of surprise but said nothing. Hopefully, they would be able to move past their resentment towards witches because of what happened to pack when I was still a child. It was quite traumatic for the pack, being infiltrated, manipulated and having their Luna and future Alpha abducted to be sacrificed for being descendants of the goddess is something that will always stay with them. Now they have to share their home with witches and as much faith as I have in my pack, this truly was kind of pushing it. We're supposed to make them feel safe and moving witches in would make them feel unsafe. But the fact is, we really couldn't leave them outsi
Mia's povWe had decided to hang out in the Alpha lounge until the meeting, we didn't have much to do anyway, the adults were handling it. As much as my friends tried to steer the conversation away from my past, somehow, we ended up talking about it."Wow" Wade said as I told them about my meeting with the Goddess of nature and how she was the moon Goddesses older sister. "There has to be more of them, we were created by Goddess Selene, the witches by the goddess of nature. Which could only mean there are others responsible for other creations" Britney said, making me wonder how real that was. I'd have to ask the next time I visit her. "I still can't wrap my head around the fact that your existence channels power from two Goddesses of creation. That is just insane! The amount of power you can wield is just... out of this world" Cole said, eyes widening both in wonder and awe. "I'd never thought about it like that" I said reaching for a bag of chips on the table. After Trevor aske
Trevor's povI could literally see her eyes sparkle as the pack accepted the coven, the relief that washed over me through the bond was evidence enough. My mate was happy. My dad took over the link and called upon the Warriors to volunteer for the upcoming project. Making sure all of the new pack members had their own homes. We realised that some were families and thought they'd prefer a little privacy so we wanted to give them the option. I was surprised when a majority of them stepped forward to help, it just showed that they were truly going to try to accept them. The link ended shortly after that and we able to breathe, finally! Things seemed to be looking brighter, even though we had a dark cloud over our heads just waiting to rain on us. And the topic of everyone else who wasn't able to escape is something we hadn't even touched. How many more were still prisoners? We really needed to put an end to this as quick as possible. "I'm glad that's over" Britney said with a sigh,
Serena's povCrushing my herbs with wolf's bane, I looked up to see the horrified expression on the rogue that was chained up in my lab. "Please, it will kill me" she whimpered, tugging on the chains without making an impact. She was weak and tired, but she was my strongest experiment yet. She had taken all my abuse for a full day and was still alive, even some of the men couldn't last a couple of hours. She was a soldier."Don't worry, I just upped the dosage a little bit, you'll barely feel anything" I said, knowing too well it would hurt like hell, and she knew it too. But, in my defence, it was necessary, I couldn't just jump into war with some of the strongest wolves alive and expect to survive. This was a necessary evil and she should be happy I gave her the honour of my time and skills. She was going to help me beat greatness itself. Urg, what a privilege. From what I had gathered since my boy died, Mia was mated to one of the two last descendants of the goddess moon and tha
Mia's povIt's been a whole two weeks since the coven became a part of the pack and everything seems to be going really good. The pack has been more than generous with our new members, the witches are assimilating well to pack life and everyone seems to be happy. The housing project was finished up in a week and most of them moved into their new homes while others stayed in the pack house. They started training the very next day and are doing quite well, the barrier was put up and tested by other pack members and they swear they're never crossing it again. Even the Alpha had a hard time distinguishing between reality and illusion and it was quite fun to watch. Aunt Kenya is very happy with her garden and spends a lot of time between caring for it and the hospital, and not once neglecting her Luna duties. My training resumed and has been going quite well. I finally managed to get the hang of it, well, most of it. I still struggle a little. We discovered quite early that it wasn't
Trevor's povWe spent the rest of the day explaining everything there was to know about wielding fire as a weapon. I explained everything I knew in as much detail as possible and Josy helped me a lot. I never had a teacher, mom had offered but I was too proud to accept it. So Drew and I forged our way through it. I could feel the entire time that she was anxious and I tried my best to ease her mind and calm her. When the sun finally went down, I could literally see the tension in her body leave as she exhaled deeply. "It's been a long day, let's wrap it up" Josy said patting Mia's shoulder and we started making our way to the pack house. I held her hand and dragged us to walk slower until Josy was out of ear shot. "You're anxious" I said and she sighed. "Do you blame me?" she asked and I shook my head, before noticing she was looking forward. "No" I finally answered. "I watched you struggle with your powers and your wolf" she said, taking me back to when Drew was always trying to
Mia's povI felt calm, relaxed, like nothing in the world could hurt me. Could anything hurt me with my mate by my side? I don't think so. Trevor had to be the best person to ever walk into my life. From since we were kids, he's always been my rock and that hasn't changed. All that anxiety I was feeling washed away as the water flowed around us and the flame burnt brighter and stronger. "Thank you" I whispered yet again, I didn't know how to express what I was feeling. I just knew I was too lucky to not thank him. "I've got you always" he said, kissing my cheek and I swooned, my heart doing back flips. I watched as the flame burnt out and we made our way out of the river. He gave me his shirt and told me to take off my soaked clothes and I did just that, without question. In this moment in time, he could tell me to jump off a cliff and I wouldn't ask questions. We made our way back to the pack house, with me on Drew's back as the exhausting of the day wore heavily on me. Trevo
Mia's povTwo years later"Why didn't anyone tell me pregnancy was shit!" Britney literally yelled as she tried to stand from the couch she'd been sitting but found it difficult with with her big round belly. It's been two years since I became Luna and boy was it crazy, the good kind of crazy. As we'd suspected, Wade and Meredith were mates and that boy didn't waste time knocking the girl up. "I did, I told you, you just didn't listen and always went crazy over my cute baby" Meredith answered, sipping on a margarita. "Urg Meredith, leave me alone" Britney whined, making me smile and almost cry as I saw myself bloated and unable to do anything in a few months. Just not with twins though, Britney was bringing twins into the world and boy were we excited for the little monsters to get here. And yes, I was pregnant too, found out this morning. Trevor and I had decided to wait before making babies but it seems like fate had other plans for us, and now I had to figure out how to tell
Mia's povI don't know why, but my heart hurt. Not too much but enough. Here I was, watching the life fade from my aunt's eyes while I held the murder weapon in my hands, twisting it until her body fell limp on the ground. She was my aunt, my family! Why did she hate me so much? Wasn't she supposed to love me? Accept me? And yet, she was the very reason for my misery. "She deserved it" were the words my wolf said to make me feel better about killing my own blood but I didn't work. I wasn't like Serena, killing my family wasn't something I took pride in. Why did she have to be my enemy? "Mia?" Trevor's voice interrupted my thoughts, making me avert my gaze from the still bleeding corpse to my mate, who's eyes held so much grief and confusion, even in his wolf form. "I'm okay" I said but I know we both knew I was lying, I wasn't fine, far from it. "Selene, are you alright?" I heard Gaya ask and turned to see the moon Goddess sitting against a tree, her dress soaked in blood and a h
Trevor's povMy hands fisted as blood rained over us, killing the flames slowly, our efforts dying right before our eyes. "We got as many as we could, now let's get the others!" Drew growled in my head and my teeth clench. "She sure is going the extra mile tonight, she usually leaves when she notices some resistance" Wade said, bringing light to an issue I hadn't even realised. "You don't think she's making her final stance, do you?" Britney asked, making Wade shrug but I think we all knew she was. "What happened to waiting for the full moon?" Uncle Mika grumbled, watching the witch with so much disdain. "Maybe she figured out we'd all be stronger on a full moon" mom said with a sigh. She seemed so tired and frail but I knew better than to believe that. She was only saddened by the unnecessary deaths of so many wolves, she wasn't any weaker. The flames finally died down and the grounds were plunged into complete darkness. "Get ready!" Mia yelled as howls on the other side of the
Mia’s pov Chaos and fear greeted me the moment I stepped outside the pack house, everyone was in a rush. I could see Britney in the distance helping people into the bunker and I could detect movement in the forest and the others were just waiting on the Alpha’s command to rush to the border but not tonight. But in the midst of all this rushing around, our friends made sure everyone was moving in the right direction. “Seems like our friends are handling themselves well” Trevor said standing behind me and I had to agree, it did look like they were handling themselves well. “We should give the command for border patrol to come back” I said with a deep sigh. The reality of what Trevor and I were about to do finally dawned on me and I couldn’t help the nervous shiver that went through me. They were getting closer, I could feel it but there was something different this time, something dark and sinister and it chilled me to the bone. “Where are the witches?” I asked, wanting to make s
Trevor‟s pov “That has to be the craziest thing you‟ve ever said” Britney said after listening to Mia‟s idea and as much as I love my mate, I had to side with Brit. “A fire of that magnitude can cause more harm than good” Cole said backing his mate up. “I know how dangerous it could get but it won‟t” she said, making our friends shake their heads. “Baby, as effective as that would be against those things, I have to stand with Britney and Cole” I said, a part of me feeling like I had betrayed her or something. The mate bond could be shitty sometimes. “So what? We just wait to get picked off one by one? We‟re losing here!” she said, the frustration in her voice hitting a little too deep. We were all frustrated about the war but it was different with Mia. She blamed herself for every fallen warrior and their mate if they didn‟t survive the loss of their mate. Those that did survive it were shells of themselves, left to raise their children alone and it was tearing her apart. “M
Serena's povThis! This is what victory looks like! Watching them fall one by one. My beautiful creation turning them into my mindless killing machines! This is what winning looks like. "You see Adeline, I always get what I want" I whispered, looking down from my bedroom window, watching my sleeping army."I bet you wish you'd just walked away from that mutt when I told you to, don't you big sister" I said, an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment washing over me. But I guess I can see the appeal, they weren't so bad, they make great soldiers that never tire and are just so much stronger. Though I must admit, their numbers were growing at an alarming rate. Occupying so much of my territory, but I guess I had to make peace with it, for now. But oddly enough, their growing numbers had a weird effect on me, almost like an orgasm, a mind blowing one at that. They were going to deliver that useless pack to me on a silver platter. "I wouldn't call it a silver platter, given the condi
Mia's povMy eyes caught a flash of black on my left as I dashed through the thick forest. I spotted a white light ahead and knew I was running straight into getting my ass beat and had to change course. I knew my right side was left open on purpose, there was definitely a trap waiting for me. I couldn't go head to head with the one waiting for me ahead but the panther on the left, I could take. I fisted my hands and felt that familiar tingle of my magic ready to cause some damage. Before she could change course, I dug my feet into the earth and took a sharp left. Tackling the deadly cat, we rolled a little before she threw me off of her and I kept going until I lost momentum. She growled at me as I quickly pulled myself up and prepared myself for her assault. Lunging for my face, I rolled beneath her, punching her stomach twice before she twisted mid air and used her back paws to scratch at my arm. I hissed at the pain but kept my eyes on her, knowing she would spring on me the
Mia's povI remembered everything I'd been feeling since this morning when I discovered how to unlock my power and control it.Knowing myself, being sure and not being afraid of who I am. I held on to that knowledge and felt my wolf and magic rush forward, becoming one with me as we peaked. I looked deep into recesses of my mind, trying to see it again, that beautiful place I'd had the pleasure of seeing just once. A place of peace and wonder, a place of immense beauty. I searched for the picture I'd made sure to engrave in my memory. And I saw her face, her beautiful smile and her sparkling green eyes. I remembered her voice and I remembered her name. "Gaya, Goddess I need you" I whispered the words yet I felt them echo in my mind, the sound wave rippling like when a stone is dropped into still waters. I felt her presence before I saw her, somewhere, deep in my soul, I felt her call and my ears rang with that sweet voice of her. "Mia" I heard her call and she was so close, I fe
Trevor's pov"Two weeks!" Mia practically screeched and I couldn't blame her. We were all gather in my dad's office, listening to Britney's assumptions. "Why do you think she would attack in two weeks?" dad asked and I leaned forward in my chair. "The full moon" she said, making me frown a little. "That wouldn't be a smart move, wolves are much stronger on a full moon and mom and I virtually unstoppable" I said, voicing my doubts. "I think that's the point, wolves are stronger on a full moon, rogues are wolves and unlike us, they've lost their humanity, it's just the wolf spirit raging" mom said and I sank back into my chair. Well, this wasn't good. "Taking into consideration that they're already modified monsters, we stand to lose the war" uncle Mika said rubbing his forehead. "Mom, were you able to figure out what the witch used to change the rogues?" I asked, hoping we could get an advantage over them. If they could turn our warriors into whatever they are, then it's safe to
