Serena's pov

Crushing my herbs with wolf's bane, I looked up to see the horrified expression on the rogue that was chained up in my lab.

"Please, it will kill me" she whimpered, tugging on the chains without making an impact. She was weak and tired, but she was my strongest experiment yet.

She had taken all my abuse for a full day and was still alive, even some of the men couldn't last a couple of hours. She was a soldier.

"Don't worry, I just upped the dosage a little bit, you'll barely feel anything" I said, knowing too well it would hurt like hell, and she knew it too. But, in my defence, it was necessary, I couldn't just jump into war with some of the strongest wolves alive and expect to survive.
