Chapter 10

Three months have officially been over since Carina arrived on Ricardo’s estate. Marco, her brother, had not paid up which meant she was here to stay. She sighed as she moved Ricardo’s arm from around her waist. She put on his shirt that was laying on the bedside chair to cover herself. She took a whiff of it and felt her body relax as she inhaled his smell.

She slowly buttoned up the shirt before she put on a pair of her shorts that lay on the other side of the room. A small smile made its way to her face as she remembered Ricardo enjoyed throwing her clothes all over the place.

The smile left as quick as it came because she remembered how she didn’t want to be around him right now. Her eyes instinctively moved to his sleep form on the bed. His hand reached out, with his lips slightly parted, as if he were looking for her. She shook her head to remind herself she was upset at him. She turned and proceeded to open the door only to come in contact with Lucas.
