7. A Handsome Ass Of A Billionaire

I SAW MAGIC IN HIS EYES, DIRTY, DARK, BEAUTIFUL MAGIC...

Avery was surprised when she found another note in the same novel. She kept her coffee aside and very carefully took out the note. Excitement flooded her veins and she was both nervous and excited while she slowly opened the note. She came across the beautiful letters that were arranged to make a line that took her breath away. It said:-  “YOUR SMILE, YOUR EYES, THE WAY YOU TALK, THE WAY YOU WALK, I COULD STARE AT YOU FOREVER."

Avery was not used to the smile that decorated her face at the moment. She did receive love before from her father, but the feeling had been of guilt, knowing she was not supposed to receive this love. But this feeling is entirely different. 

She instantly took out a paper and scribbeled something on it.:- "I NEVER CRAVED ATTENTION, UNTIL I TASTED YOURS." She read it again and kept it back in the book, keeping the other note in her bag. 

 

Suddenly it hit her, maybe the one who placed this note is still here, waiting for her reaction. She then looked around and found that everyone was busy with their food, laptops and phones, except for one who was staring intensely back at her with a ghost of smile on his face, his eyes were glowing. Avery was really surprised, she had never seen a man more gorgeous in her life. Avery kept looking at him as if he had grasped her with his charcoal eyes. She didn't know how to look away nor did she know how to react.

 

There was tension between them. A kind of hot tension that settled deep in her core. It was only when he looked away the magic disappeared and she was brought back to reality. 

Why was he smiling at her like that? No way... Is he the one who kept these notes!? But she quickly dismissed the thought, thinking that there is no way a handsome ass of a billionaire like him is ever going to send her such cute notes..

 

"Well I see who you're checking out." Avery jumped as her friend suddenly appeared behind her. 

"Oh my god! I told you so many times to stop doing that!!" She  scolded Rina.

"Well it's not my fault. I came right in front of you and walked across the table but still didn't notice me. But you know what? I don't blame you, the eyes of every girl in the cafe is on just one person." Rina said, looking towards Riccardo. 

"I was not checking him out!" She protested. 

 

"Yeah yeah right, I saw that fire in your eyes Avery, you can not fool me. Seriously get laid or something. How long has it been since you last had sex?" She said it out loud and Avery instantly covered her mouth.

"Are you crazy!? Speak slowly, there are families sitting here!!" She said and Rina raised her hands in defeat.

"Alright alright... but really since when Riccardo cassano started visiting your cafe." She asked and Avery lowered her eyes to her coffee. 

"It has been a while." Avery said, thinking about the day they met for the first time. It was not a pleasant meeting and neither was the second one. Though after the second meeting she didn't think of him as an ass that he was in her eyes before, but she still doesn't hold a very big opinion about him. 

 

"The Riccardo Cassano has been visiting your cafe and I didn't even know!?" She chirped again.

"Why, you have a crush on him or something?" Avery asked, though her gut wasn't allowing her to ask this question. 

"Of course! Who doesn't!?" There it goes... 

"Do you even know his popularity amongst women is more than Raoul Bova." She said, rolling her eyes. 

"Anyway that aside, you have to get ready! We are going out tonight!" She said and Avery's eyes shot to her. 

"No way we can't! I have so much work here. It's already so hectic these days I can't go out." Avery said.

"No way Avery you can't do this to me! Do you really want me to go alone!!? What if I get too drunk and some guy takes advantage of me!?" Rina said. There she goes emotional blackmailing again. 

 

"Come on! Please Avery! You rarely go out! Just home to office and office to home. How can you even live like that!?" She was screaming in Avery's ears.

"Rina you can see the cafe is packed! There is so much work here I can't leave just like that..." She tried to reason out.

"Your cafe is always packed Avery! This is not even a reason anymore. I don't know anything. You are going to club with me today and that's final!" She raised both her hand as if she didn't wanna hear anything else. 

 

"But-" Avery started to protest.

"You should go dear. We will handle everything here." Nora said with a warm smile.

"She is right, you're working here from 8 to 10 and the whole 7 days a week! You are still very young Avery I think you should go and enjoy life." Cody said. He is the oldest chef in the kitchen and the most experienced too. She felt lucky to have found someone like him to work at her cafe.

"But-" 

"Yeah you should go. The orders are completely under control anyway. I'll securely lock the cafe, don't worry." Tina said Everyone was encouraging her to go enjoy, but to her going to a club was the biggest waste of time and money. Instead of wasting away her night drinking and dancing, she would like to stay at home in her comfortable shorts and tank top and try to make new recipes all night. But she could not afford to see the disappointment in Rina's eyes if she strictly said no to her.

 

"Alright." Avery sighed. 

"Yaaaaay!!! Alright! But not in these clothes." She said pointing towards her jeans and lilac off shoulder sweater. 

"What's wrong with them?" Avery asked, looking down at herself.

"everything."

"So should we go home first-"

"Absolutely not! We'll be too late! Here." Rina said, handing her a huge bag.

"What is this?"

"Dress shoes and some accessories. I came well prepared." Rna said, looking extremely pleased with herself. Avery smiled to herself. Rina is an amazing business woman, she knew she was going to turn things around and convince Avery somehow. 

 

"Now go, we don't have much time! Go go go." She said pushing Avery outside the kitchen and into the bathroom.

"Alright alright!" Avery stood in front of the huge bathroom mirror and unwrapped the dress her friend bought for her.

It was a little black dress, sleeve less and with just steps holding the shoulders and neckline deep so her cleavage was visible. The dress dropped till mid thigh and a cut ran up the right leg showcasing her creamy legs perfectly. The material of the dress was velvet so it will keep her warm at the same time. Though the clubs are already super heated. 

She entered a stall and srtipped away her clothes and slid inside the dress. She was glad it was not something like what Rina bought for her last time. 

 

Coming out of the stall she looked at herself in the mirror. Not bad... Next were black high heels and a piece of gold jewellery including a small necklace and earrings.

She decided to let her flow open, falling to hips. 

"Alright I'm ready." Avery said coming out of the bathroom.

"The hell so fast! And what about makeup?" Rina said moving towards her.

"There is no don't need for makeup Rina, it's too dark to see anything anyway." She said rolling her eyes.

"Right, and how long has it been since you last went to a club?" She said and Avery raised an eyebrow. 

"What do you mean?" 

"At Least apply some lipstick for god's sake!" Rina said, pulling out a dark brown matt shade from her purse. Avery sighs in defeat. This girl always has her way around. 

 

"You guys will be ok right? It's not too much work is it?" Avery asked her staff worried that they'll have to over work in her absence.

"We'll be ok sweetheart, just go and enjoy."

After a few more minutes they both stepped out of the cafe and a sudden gust of cold wind hit Avery's face. As she walked down the street towards Rina's car she couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching her. She looked around but found no one, shaking off the feeling and slide in the car.
