"Wh...at?" I stuttered, my lips flapping on each other nervously. My heart raced, thumping fast and hard in my chest. The sweat that had managed to dry up instantly found its way back, forming droplets on my face. This time around, the intensity of my anxiety was even worse than the first time.

He didn't utter another word, just gazed into my eyes, as if trying to peer into the depths of my soul. The weight of the moment felt like my entire life was crumbling right before my eyes, leaving me utterly lost and unsure of what to say. My body began to tremble, as though I had a fever, and I struggled to find composure.

"The last time I saw you, it was at night, and you were outside the room," Antonio spoke, breaking the heavy silence. "You were coming out of Dima's room. So, I figured you might be coming out from there tonight as well."

As he spoke, the frenzy of emotions inside me slightly lessened, as I realized he hadn't actually witnessed me coming out of Dima's room. A sigh of relief

“The city is so beautiful,” Bianca cheered, her excitement evident as we drove through the streets, taking in the sights during our tour of the city. Guila tagged along, and the three of us sat comfortably in the back of the car.Behind us, another car filled with guards followed closely. Antonio had emphasized the importance of not taking any chances, especially after the events of the previous day’s water saga. Surprisingly, Antonio acted completely normal with me, which gave me some reassurance that he hadn’t discovered the truth about my lies.“The street market is so vibrant,” Bianca added, capturing the lively scene on her phone through pictures.“The market in Palermo is just amazing. If you stay longer, we’d definitely have to visit it,” Guila chimed in, her smile beaming with enthusiasm.“But why can’t we go now?” Bianca asked, turning to both of us with an eager expression. She occupied the right edge of the car, while I sat on the left, and Guila was in the middle.“Yeah, I

As the gag was removed from my mouth, I took a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest. I glared at Nello, the notorious Capo of Reggio Calabria, who now stood before me with his enigmatic black-suited presence. My eyes widened in shock as I realized the gravity of the situation. It was never a good sign to have a powerful figure like him in such close proximity.“Nello,” I muttered, my voice trembling with a mix of fear and anger. Guila and the others seemed oblivious to the significance of his presence, and I wasn’t entirely sure if Guila even knew who he was. She always kept herself at arm’s length from the dangerous dealings of the Mafioso, unlike me, who had gotten tangled in their web.His eyes darted at me, and a deceitful smirk crept across his face, causing a shiver to run down my spine. Despite my resistance, he gently cupped my face with his right hand, a move that only intensified my discomfort. I groaned and attempted to protest, shaking my head aggressively, but his

Nello was callously removing her shirt, and my heart raced so fast, my knuckles turned white from the intensity of my grip. Bianca, too, wept in despair, but Nello seemed to relish in our pain, his cruel smile widening with every tear that fell.“Bring them both to my room, with their hands still tied,” Nello instructed his guards before he callously walked away from Guila.“Do not forget my message,” he said to me, his hand landing on my head, ruffling my hair, and my eyes squeezed shut in fear and revulsion.“Guila!” I screamed as the guards roughly dragged her off the chair. As my

As I paced around the room, the weight of anxiety continued to bear down on me, making it impossible to find any semblance of comfort. I felt restless, like a caged bird yearning for freedom. The memory of Antonio’s evasive response about Dima only fueled my unease, and I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something dreadful was unfolding. With a heavy heart, I bowed my head in silent prayer, desperately seeking solace from a higher power. A mere seven days had passed since the tumultuous saga that had left our lives in disarray. Amidst the chaos, Antonio, always the thoughtful one, proposed a change of scenery. He suggested a brief respite in the picturesque paradise of Fiji, a mere three-day escape from our troubled world. As I reclined on a comfortable chaise lounge, the ethereal spectacle of the sun setting over the horizon unfolded before me. Its golden hues cast dancing reflections upon the tranquil waters, offering a soothing balm to my troubled soul. After the storm, a modicum of serenity was what we all craved, and Antonio, in his infinite wisdom, provided just that.In the quietude of that moment, my mind wandered to Guila. How had she managed to orchestrate her enigmatic partnership with the enigmatic Triad at such a tender age? It was a riddle that confounded not only me but also Dima. The intricacies of her dealings with Dima, a man shrouded in mystery himself, left me in a perpetual state of bewilderment. C

Even the formidable Triad members, their weapons still raised, appeared momentarily paralyzed by the unexpected turn of events.“Guila,” Antonio’s voice quivered with a mixture of astonishment and confusion as he spoke her name. He took a tentative step forward, his eyes never leaving his long-lost sister, as though drawn by an invisible force compelling him to confront this surreal moment. “How on earth is this possible? What in the name of all that’s holy is happening here?” His voice carried a perplexed urgency, echoing the sentiment shared by everyone present.“Brother,” Guila responded,

Antonio and I embarked on a journey in the car, a journey filled with uncertainty and foreboding, as we headed toward the precise location where Marino had cryptically hinted that Dima could be found. My determination, however, proved unyielding, and through persuasive persistence, I managed to sway his opinion, compelling him to change his mind.As we settled into the car’s cozy interior and initiated our drive, I couldn’t help but be swept away by the world outside.
