Chapter 72

“No, please don’t do that to her!” I screamed, my voice filled with anguish as I stretched my trembling hands towards Guila. Nello was callously removing her shirt, and my heart raced so fast, my knuckles turned white from the intensity of my grip. The ache in my heart grew as I helplessly watched Guila struggle on the chair, her hands tied behind her, and a cloth gagging her mouth.

“Please!” I cried, my hand almost breaking from the strain.

Guila’s tears mirrored my own, and each tear she shed shattered my heart a little more. Bianca, too, wept in despair, but Nello seemed to relish in our pain, his cruel smile widening with every tear that fell.

“Bring them both to my room, with their hands still tied,” Nello instructed his guards before he callously walked away from Guila.

“Do not forget my message,” he said to me, his hand landing on my head, ruffling my hair, and my eyes squeezed shut in fear and revulsion.

“Guila!” I screamed as the guards roughly dragged her off the chair.
